An unbound Earth Sovereign.
The Underworld Courier old man knew that Tu Bo, the Earth Sovereign, being a deity born of heaven and earth, had many of his actions restricted by the cosmic laws of Youdu. He could not overstep those rules, and even his growth was encompassed within the system of Youdu, unable to escape its Dao laws.
He is the embodiment of Youdu's Dao. Although he possesses his own consciousness, his actions cannot transcend the boundaries of Youdu's Dao.
But that little one born in Youdu is different. He is the first postnatal being born in Youdu, unlike Tu Bo, and unlike the naturally formed little ghosts, demons, or Youdu demon gods.
Tu Bo's voice came from within the temple. The Underworld Courier old man turned to see Saint-King Tianqi sitting at the entrance, gnawing on destination half a chicken.
He was like me, born with the blessing of Youdu's Dao laws. At the time, I even thought I was gaining a younger brother.
But later, I realized that was not the case.
Tu Bo's third eye glowed with misty light, sealing their conversation within so it would not be heard outside.
That little one's growth was astonishing, and because he was a postnatal being, he was not bound by Youdu's Dao laws. He could eat whoever he wanted and beat whoever he pleased.
Although Fenix Greenwood Keane committed every imaginable evil, Tu Bo found it strangely satisfying to watch.
Fenix Greenwood Keane was like a little Tu Bo. If he grew up, he would become a larger version, committing even greater evils. Thus, Tu Bo had no choice but to seal and suppress him, exiling him to the outside world.
But what was even stranger was that, after being sealed, suppressed, and exiled, Fenix Greenwood Keane became Quinn Shepherd. Previously, Fenix was not bound by Youdu's Dao laws, but as Quinn, he completely escaped those laws, cultivating divine arts beyond Youdu!
Saint-King Tianqi, while eating his chicken, peeked into the temple and saw the horned, tiger-headed god showing a strange expression, clearly puzzled by how Quinn Shepherd could escape Youdu's Dao laws.
My seal turned him into a mortal who could not cultivate, but from that body, a second consciousness was born. Crawling and struggling, it somehow bypassed my seal and achieved great things with a body supposedly unable to cultivate.
Tu Bo said with a strange look: "The first consciousness is Fenix Greenwood Keane, born of Youdu's demonic nature—like an ancient god, like a demigod, yet also like a postnatal being. The second consciousness is Quinn Shepherd, a thoroughly postnatal being, and he is the one who surprises me most."
Thanks to Quinn Shepherd's reckless actions, Fenix Greenwood Keane nearly broke Tu Bo's seal several times, forcing Tu Bo to repeatedly step in and repair it.
Because he understands them so well, Tu Bo is actually the one who has the highest expectations for Quinn Shepherd and Fenix Greenwood Keane.
He hopes to find a way to break his own shackles through Quinn Shepherd.
It's no exaggeration to say that Quinn Shepherd is another unrestricted Tu Bo.
In Tu Bo's eyes, Fenix Greenwood Keane and Quinn Shepherd are the same person—not brothers. But for Quinn and Fenix, a brother is a brother, and a younger brother is a younger brother.
The younger brother thinks the older brother is steeped in sin, while the older brother sees the younger as full of wicked schemes.
I have tried many ways to break my own shackles, but they all failed. This time, I have a chance.
Tu Bo's gaze was distant. Saint-King Tianqi looked over and felt that Tu Bo's three eyes were like unfathomable abysses, occasionally rippling.
Jade-Lock Pass.
The demon-god general led the three-headed, six-armed Quinn Shepherd into the pass, sweat constantly rolling down his forehead, because Fenix Greenwood Keane's gaze kept fixed on his head and neck, making him extremely uncomfortable.
He couldn't help but picture the big-headed baby hugging his head and gnawing on it.
"How should I address you, Dao brother?" Quinn Shepherd's one head observed the surroundings, while another spoke to him with a friendly countenance.
Martin Mo, Soul-Suppressing Left Warden of Youdu Jade-Lock Pass.
The demon-god general's eye twitched. He thought to himself, "The Netherworld Divine Son never used to be like this. He used to eat first and ask questions later—now he's polite, asks your name before eating..."
"What's this?" Quinn Shepherd asked politely, pointing at a black stone monolith.
Martin Mo, Soul-Suppressing Left Warden, looked at the black stone monolith and said, "This is a Soul-Suppressing Monolith, also called a Karmic-Flame Merit Monolith. It was forged by Tu Bo from his own fallen teeth to suppress evil beings here. Those with great merit are not suppressed, but those weighed down by sin suffer the torment of karmic fire, unable to use their power and in great pain."
Quinn Shepherd looked around and saw that these Karmic-Flame Merit Monoliths were as dense as a forest, with one every hundred paces—there were many of them.
Tu Bo has so many teeth?
He was stunned and muttered, "Did someone beat Tu Bo so badly that all his teeth fell out?"
Fenix Greenwood Keane exclaimed excitedly, "Tu Bo's teeth are black, but mine are white! Look, look!"
He opened his mouth, revealing a mouthful of sharp white teeth that gleamed coldly. His eyes sparkled as he said, "Martin Mo, come closer and take a good look."
Martin Mo stumbled as he led them into the forest of Karmic-Flame Merit Monoliths. There were even more monoliths than Quinn Shepherd had imagined—they walked for a long time and still hadn't reached the end.
There must be tens of thousands of monoliths—just how many teeth did Tu Bo have to make so many?
The Soul-Suppressing Left Warden glanced at Quinn Shepherd, his heart chilled. He had originally thought that such a sinful being entering the monolith forest would be suppressed by Tu Bo's Karmic-Flame Merit Monoliths, tormented by karmic fire and burned in agony.
Yet as Quinn Shepherd walked through the forest, nothing happened to him. The big-headed baby was even happily slurping up the karmic fire swirling around the monoliths, sucking it up like noodles and smacking his lips as if it tasted delicious.
