Five Years Later Part 1

"Brother Snowball, try this! My mom made it for me, it's really delicious!" A little girl in pink hurriedly pulled out her hidden, beautifully wrapped treat and offered it to him.

"Brother Snowball, hers isn't that tasty. Look at mine! I know you love my family's beef—this is a fresh batch, super fragrant!" piped up another little girl in red.

"Brother Snowball, look! I have a gift box for you!" A little girl in green quickly dug into her backpack and handed him a beautifully decorated box.

"What's this?" The boy smiled, the corners of his mouth lifting as he looked at the girl and asked.

At once, the little girl in green blushed. "This—this is a pastry my mom and I made together. You said last time it was delicious..." She ducked her head, her small hands fidgeting awkwardly.

"So sweet," the boy praised her with a gentle smile.

Hearing this, the other two girls grew unhappy and protested, "Brother Snowball, our stuff is great too!"

"Mhm, they're all great." With that, he flashed them a charming wink. Instantly, all three girls blushed, overcome with embarrassment.

Just then, the noisy sounds outside made the boy frown and glance that way. The three girls also turned their heads to look out.

"Brother Snowball, don't look outside! We're right here!" the three girls complained in unison, clearly displeased.

"Come on, let's have breakfast together with Brother Snowball." The handsome little boy took the girls by the hand and led them into the courtyard, where all sorts of delicious pastries were laid out.

"Brother Snowball, when I grow up, can I marry you?" The pink-clad girl asked, her big eyes sparkling.

"Brother Snowball, I want to marry you too! My mom said you're the Crown Prince, so you can have lots and lots of wives. Brother Snowball is the most beautiful boy in the Serpent Realm—I don't mind sharing you, because I like you!" the red-clad girl chimed in eagerly.

That was exactly what her mom and dad said; her dad was really moved when he heard it. She wondered if Brother Snowball would be just as touched.

"Brother Snowball, I want to marry you too! Will you have me?" The green-clad girl blurted out, because everyone knew Brother Snowball was the most beautiful boy in the Serpent Realm—all the girls liked him.

"Alright, alright!" The little boy nodded and smiled. "Then Brother Snowball will wait for you all to grow up."

"Okay!" the three girls chorused together.

But the noisy sounds up ahead were getting louder and louder, making the little boy glance over. He smiled slightly, but chose to ignore it.

"Brother Caleb, let me meet Brother Snowball tomorrow, okay? My mom says I'm perfect wife material for the Crown Prince!" a chubby girl called out eagerly.

A pint-sized replica of little Blue Caleb held a tiny, jewel-studded golden abacus, clicking away as he eyed the row of girls—all fans of the Crown Prince, Noel Song, aka Brother Snowball.

Hearing that, Little Caleb finally looked up at the girl. Hmm, taller than him, darker than him, and...

"Why do you like me?"

"I like boys who can keep accounts!" the little girl blurted out.

"Huh?" Tiny Caleb was stunned, then retorted, "Doesn't your family have an accountant?"

"Nope! But my mom says, a man who can keep accounts can run a household. That means he'll bring us happiness!"

Hearing this, Tiny Caleb's head was filled with dark lines.

"Brother Caleb, let's date!" the little girl boldly declared. The Empress said that in this era, you don't need arranged marriages—if two people like each other, they can date first. If it works, great; if not, just move on. Isn't that awesome?

"How old are you?"

"Me? I'm eight!"

"Alright, just go home."

"Huh? Why?"

"Why? You're so old already, and I'm still young. How could we be together?" Caleb Jr. replied with his signature poisonous tongue.

Hearing this, the little girl burst into tears. "I'm only eight—is that old? My mom says I'm still a little girl, a proper maiden!"

Tiny Caleb just shrugged, unfazed. "Sorry, I'm only five. I don't like older woman, little-brother romances!"

"Waaah... but I really like you! When I'm older, I can take care of you!"

"Forget it. Our family's already got one tigress—I don't want another 'mother tiger' looking after me!" Just dealing with his brothers was headache enough; one more? No way, he absolutely refused to date a girl older than him!

"The Empress says love doesn't care about age! You're discriminating against me!" the little girl shouted, angrily pointing her finger at him.

"I said, I don't like older women. Plus, you're so dark—if we had a dark-skinned baby, how would we find them at night?" Tiny Caleb immediately started imagining the future.

"You... I hate you!" The little girl was completely crushed, bursting into tears as she ran away.

All the girls in line glanced at each other and started whispering, "Brother Caleb's mouth is so vicious!"

"Was it really necessary to be so poisonous?" A teasing voice suddenly rang out, and the next moment, all the girls started screaming, "Brother Lucian! It's Brother Lucian—the beautiful Brother Lucian!" The crowd went wild, shrieking at the top of their lungs.

Peach-blossom eyes, thin lips, flawless features—just miniaturized, but still incredibly captivating. At that moment, he strolled over in emerald-green robes, holding a tiny white folding fan, fanning himself lazily.

"Brother Lucian! Beautiful Brother Lucian!" the girls screamed in excitement, all of them thrilled. Palace life was awesome—so many handsome boys!

"Heyyy~" Little Lucian winked at the crowd, his lips curving into a smile. Instantly, he slayed countless girls.

"Brother Lucian, don't you have anything better to do?" Tiny Caleb, dressed in blue, looked up at Lucian, clearly annoyed.

"What, got a problem?" Little Lucian replied, his tone a little annoyed.

"Brother Lucian! Brother Lucian!" The girls screamed even louder, just like fans spotting a movie star.

Little Lucian tilted his head and flashed a killer smile, waving his hand. "Hi, beautiful ladies~!"

"Ah! Brother Lucian's looking at me! He's looking at me!"

"No way, he's looking at me!"

"Move it! Brother Lucian's looking at me, at me!"

The girls screamed even louder, faces wild with excitement.

Tiny Caleb frowned. "Brother Lucian, I'm busy!" he said, shaking his little abacus, clearly annoyed by the interruption.

Seriously, I'm collecting fees here—why'd you have to show up?!

"Can't I just take a stroll? By the way, does Mom know you and Big Brother are secretly collecting money from his fans?" Lucian's peach-blossom eyes narrowed, his whole face scheming.

Seeing this, Tiny Caleb frowned. "Are you really Second Dad's kid, not my dad's? Why are you so good at scheming?"

"What, I should be asking you! How come you inherited my dad's poisonous tongue? Only, my dad uses it on men—you use it on girls. Seriously, you need a beating!"

"Brother Lucian is so gentle!"

"Yeah, what do I do? I like Brother Snowball, but I also like Brother Lucian—and honestly, I like all the brothers!"

"Me too! Me too!"

"Whatever, marrying any one of them would be pure happiness!"

"Totally! Totally!"

The girls started daydreaming, as if every one of them could end up marrying a perfect little prince.

But just then, a panicked voice suddenly rang out, "Oh no, run! The tigress is coming!" A brightly dressed kid leapt from tree to tree, shouting at the top of their lungs.

At those words, even the usually calm ones started to panic.

Tigress? Oh no—Mom's coming!!!!!!
