"Go." Damian said. "Our paths are different—we can't walk together. Forget me, and don't dwell on the past."

Damian turned away, refusing to look at her.

Damian watched her back, his gaze softening. He said quietly, "You can only be trapped inside the formation."

Lily Bai turned her head. "What?"

"Isn't this an exchange? You can't go in freely—you'll only be confined in a safe spot inside the formation."

Lily Bai's eyes lit up. "You agree?"

"Mm."

"So... how do we do this?"

"You all go in together. I'll have Azure Flame follow you, lead the way, and once you reach the spot, you'll be confined there."
