In the Ninth World, Nora Xiu's vitality, nourished by the Cosmic Essence, seemed to be steadily increasing, which allowed Joe Di to finally breathe a sigh of relief. What surprised him even more was that Emily Ye, within the Thunder Pearl, appeared to manifest a faint shadow.
Joe Di grew increasingly delighted—this Cosmic Essence truly was a marvelous treasure. In fact, he wasn't entirely certain if the Duality Blossom could save Emily Ye. Now that Emily Ye had formed a faint shadow, the chances of rescuing her with the Duality Blossom had greatly increased.
Joe Di began to tear through the void; his current location was likely somewhere between the Immortal Realm and the Dao Domain. Reaching the Dao Domain would be easy, but returning from the Dao Domain to the Immortal Realm was far more difficult.
Fortunately, his physical body had now broken through. After this breakthrough, Joe Di believed that even if he returned to the Grand Ruins, he could manage without relying on the Yin-Yang Taiji Diagram.
In the void, Joe Di ripped open crack after crack, while simultaneously extending his spiritual sense through the emptiness, seeking the direction he needed to go.
Yet the cosmos was vast. Each void he tore open revealed endless interfaces, and Joe Di spent half a year searching this patch of cosmic void, but found no trace of the Quadrant Immortal Continent, nor any sign of the rift between the Immortal Realm and Dao Domain.
Several more years passed, and Joe Di was still no closer to an answer. Undeterred, he continued to tear through the void again and again, convinced that one day he would succeed.
......
Quadrant Immortal Continent, outside Starhaven City.
A wild-haired woman stared intently at a towering Immortal Jade Statue outside the city walls. The statue gazed into the void, a long blade strapped to its back.
The woman stared at the statue, mumbling to herself, though it was unclear what she was saying. Not only was her hair disheveled, but she also wore nothing on her feet—they were bare.
Her bare feet were caked with mud and marked by scratches.
"Do you know him?" A long-haired male cultivator walked up not far from the woman and abruptly asked.
The barefoot woman turned her head, frowning at the long-haired man, a hint of killing intent flashing across her aura.
Sensing her murderous intent, the male cultivator hurriedly cupped his fists and said, "Fellow Daoist, I was just asking out of curiosity. If you don't wish to answer, that's fine."
The woman replied calmly, "My mother said that if an unfamiliar man speaks to me, he must have ill intentions."
The man chuckled and said, "My name is Leon Hai. May I ask how the fairy should be addressed?"
The woman frowned, staring at Leon Hai. "You, a mere Immortal King, dare to ask my name?"
Leon Hai's heart skipped a beat. He couldn't discern the woman's cultivation level and had assumed she was using some concealment technique. Only now, hearing her words, did he realize her cultivation was far superior to his.
But soon Leon Hai sensed something was off. Although the woman was speaking to him, her gaze seemed unfocused, as if her mind was elsewhere, or perhaps she wasn't even aware of what she was saying.
Moved by something, Leon Hai spoke again, "Fairy, your beauty is extraordinary—I truly admire you. May I ask if you are from Starhaven City?"
The woman seemed completely oblivious to Leon Hai's words. Her gaze once again fell upon the Immortal Jade Statue.
Leon Hai grew even more certain and continued, "This senior here is Joe Di. It was Senior Di who, in the past, prevented our Quadrant Immortal Continent from falling into twilight. Not only that, Senior Di recovered the Fourfold Divine Cauldron, restored the continent’s fate, and saved us from decline. It is because of him that our continent flourishes today.
You must have noticed Starhaven City ahead—Senior Di established it himself. Anyone who cultivates there for even a month will see their strength soar. But every inch of land and every Immortal Crystal in Starhaven City is precious, far beyond the reach of ordinary cultivators."
"Joe Di?" the woman repeated the name, then suddenly knelt before the statue.
A wordless sorrow welled up inside her, and tears streamed down her face. Deep within, something longed to pour itself out to the statue, yet she didn't know how.
Seeing this, Leon Hai respectfully bowed his head to Joe Di's statue as well, then quietly stood aside, observing the weeping woman.
After a long while, the woman finally stood up and looked at Leon Hai. "I only know my name is Diana Di. Joe Di is deeply connected to me. Where is he? Wait—he must be inside this city."
With that, Diana Di started toward Starhaven City.
At this point, Leon Hai was certain Diana Di's mind was a bit muddled. He quickly said, "Senior Di has already ascended to the higher realm. But I do know where he ascended—if you'd like, I can take you there."
Diana Di frowned at Leon Hai. "My mother said not to go anywhere with strangers."
Leon Hai smiled slightly and said, "Your mother also said not to go with strangers, but my name is Leon Hai, and yours is Diana Di. We're already acquainted."
Diana Di looked at Leon Hai in confusion. After a while, she nodded, "You're right, we already know each other."
"Then let me take you there." Leon Hai was overjoyed; he only wanted to spirit Diana Di away as quickly as possible.
Diana Di shared the same surname as Joe Di and even bore a resemblance to him. After witnessing her bow to Joe Di's statue, Leon Hai was almost certain she was one of Joe Di's descendants.
Who was Joe Di? He was the mighty cultivator who saved the entire Quadrant Immortal Continent. Not only that, Leon Hai had heard that when a void beast tide struck Thundercrest Continent, it was Joe Di who resolved it.
With a powerhouse like that, how could his treasures be ordinary? And it wasn't just treasures—his cultivation techniques were extraordinary too. If Diana Di truly was Joe Di's descendant, Leon Hai would be set for life. With Joe Di's inheritance, stepping into the Immortal Emperor realm would no longer be a dream. After all, Joe Di would surely pass some treasures to Diana Di, and the cultivation techniques from Earth were also those Joe Di mastered.

Others might respect Joe Di, but Leon Hai felt no reverence at all. The Fatespire Sect he hailed from had been ruined by Joe Di.
"Alright..." Diana Di had barely spoken when a woman in a blue immortal gown descended before the two of them.
'You...' Diana Di looked at the woman in the blue gown, her eyes reddening as tears fell once again.
The woman in the blue gown also burst into tears. She rushed to Diana Di, embraced her, and knelt down, crying out hoarsely, 'Mother.'
Diana Di reached out with trembling hands to stroke the woman's hair, her voice shaking, 'You... you...'
'Mother, I am Xiang Nu...' The woman in the blue gown now understood her mother’s mind was muddled. She cried even harder and hugged Diana Di tightly, knowing why her mother was like this.
'Xiang Nu... Xiang Nu, you are Xiang Nu...' Diana Di suddenly murmured, 'That year your grandmother killed your father, took me away, and left you behind...'
As she spoke, Diana Di suddenly coughed up a spray of blood.
'Mother!' Xiang Nu cried out anxiously, grabbing several pills and feeding them to Diana Di.
'Are you leaving?' Xiang Nu turned coldly to Leon Hai, who was trying to slip away, her eyes glinting with killing intent.
Leon Hai hurriedly said respectfully, 'Senior, I only came to pay my respects to Senior Di and thank him for all he has done for the Quadrant Immortal Continent.'
Xiang Nu said coolly, 'I've seen too many people like you over the years. I don’t even know how many I’ve killed; adding one more makes no difference.'
'Senior...' Leon Hai tried to explain, but Xiang Nu struck out with a punch, and he felt the pressure of a mountain pressing down on his very existence.
The aura of death closed in, and Leon Hai felt a trace of despair. He was an Immortal King, yet in front of this woman, he couldn't even dodge a single punch. He simply couldn't understand why she was so murderous.
Xiang Nu sighed. She had wandered for years and seen much, and had been offended by many. But as for killing, she really hadn’t killed that many; most offenders she simply taught a lesson. But Leon Hai had tried to trick her mother—clearly intending harm—and she could no longer restrain her killing intent.
