I Understand Now

"Joe, what should I do now?" Charlotte Ling was beginning to believe Joe Di's words, because she really did have such an item—one she had found in the Chaos Realm. Unfortunately, it wasn't in her ring, but in her spiritual sea.

If Joe Di was right, then her ring might not have been destroyed in the explosion, but rather taken by Elder Yale. Still, she was unwilling to think the worst of others, especially since she always believed Elder Yale had saved her.

Joe Di smiled, "It's simple. You need to recover your strength before Elder Yale returns from seclusion."

Charlotte Ling's gaze dimmed. If Joe Di was right, Elder Yale would return soon, but her injuries had worsened over the millennia, making recovery seem impossible.

"Joe, Starlight Tea does help, but it's not a quick fix. It can't fully heal me, only slow my decline," Charlotte Ling said dejectedly.

Joe Di placed a jade vial before Charlotte Ling and said, "Add this, and you'll be fine."

Charlotte Ling opened the jade vial in confusion, then gasped, "Starlight Dao Pill? And it's a special grade..."

Not only was it a special grade Starlight Dao Pill, there were three of them in the vial.

Even a single one was priceless, yet three appeared before her at once—pills that couldn't be bought even if one had a city to offer.

Charlotte Ling knew that with these three pills, her Dao Foundation would immediately recover, and her Dao Rhyme would be restored.

But she still didn't swallow the pills, instead looking at Joe Di and shaking her head, "I'm sorry, Joe. Even if I added up all my assets, I couldn't afford these three Starlight Dao Pills."

She also understood why Joe Di gave her three Starlight Dao Pills—her cultivation was at the Dao Fusion Realm, and without all three, she simply couldn't recover.

Joe Di didn't mind at all and said, "Don't worry, just take them. I refined these Starlight Dao Pills myself. Besides, only after you recover can you help me. Otherwise, I'd have no choice but to escape now."

If no Dao Fusion Realm expert appeared, Joe Di wouldn't worry even if injured. But with Elder Yale about to return in Winterhold Valley, Joe Di had to consider his own safety.

"I understand now..." Charlotte Ling looked at Joe Di excitedly, "No wonder you said you're not just a Prime Dao Pill God—you're a Prime Dao Pill Saint!"

Joe Di didn't deny it. "That's right, I am indeed a Prime Dao Pill Saint."

Hearing that Joe Di was a Prime Dao Pill Saint, and one who could refine Special Grade Starlight Dao Pills, Charlotte Ling knew she hadn't misjudged him. At this level, Joe Di was close to becoming a Genesis Pill Saint, or perhaps already was.

She nodded, picked up the three Starlight Dao Pills, and swallowed them all at once.

"Quick, start circulating your energy to let the Starlight Dao Pills restore your Dao Foundation," Joe Di said, standing up and casting out an array flag.

Even though this was just a cave mansion, with a wave of Joe Di's array flag, he produced a top-grade spirit vein and placed it into the void.

A Supreme Ley Line, over a hundred feet long, was placed by Joe Di into the void of the cave mansion, invisible from the outside.

After swallowing the Dao Pill, Charlotte Ling felt her crumbling Dao Foundation rapidly repairing, her blocked Dao Rhyme swiftly clearing, and waves of Dao energy once again circling her.

Even though Charlotte Ling was never one to be moved by material things, at this moment she couldn't help but burst into tears. Even without spiritual energy to boost her cultivation, she was content. After so many years, she finally saw hope.

Soon she realized her assumption was wrong—there was not only spiritual energy enhancing her cultivation, but it was endless, as if a Supreme Ley Line were pouring spiritual energy down upon her.

Charlotte Ling couldn't let this opportunity slip by. She frantically absorbed the spiritual energy, unblocked her Dao Rhyme, restored her Dao Foundation, and accelerated her cultivation.

Sensing the intense change in the rules of the surrounding space, Joe Di didn't hesitate to take out four Fivefold Flags and seal the area.

He couldn't let the people of Winterhold Valley see Charlotte Ling regaining her Dao Fusion Realm strength, or it would cause major trouble.

While Charlotte Ling focused on her recovery, Joe Di didn't stop either. He took out over a hundred tea leaves and put them into a jade pot. Just as he was about to brew tea, he thought of the World Tree in his own world. If tea leaves refined with the World Tree Cauldron were so extraordinary, what about leaves from the original World Tree itself?

With that thought, Joe Di's spiritual sense immediately reached into the Ninth World, connecting with the World Tree that was already over a yard tall.

When Joe Di's intent touched the World Tree, it automatically shed a leaf.

Joe Di placed the World Tree leaf together with Starlight Tea leaves. As the tea steeped, a rich aura of vitality filled the air. That cosmic vitality refreshed Joe Di's spirit.

Without hesitation, he picked up the teapot and drank half of it in one go. The surging vitality swiftly nourished his injured flesh and meridians.

Realizing his condition, Joe Di drank the rest of the tea without hesitation, even swallowing the World Tree leaf.

As the rules of the world circulated wildly, the Supreme Ley Line that Charlotte Ling had absorbed earlier now poured down energy like a breached dam.

Joe Di felt his injuries vanish rapidly, his cultivation recovering at a speed even faster than Charlotte Ling's.

At the same time, Charlotte Ling also sensed a difference. Her recovery was already rapid, but as Joe Di began cultivating, the world's rules suddenly became much clearer.

In all her years of cultivation and visiting countless secret realms, Charlotte Ling had never experienced such dense spiritual energy and clarity of the world's rules.

What should have taken over ten days to fully restore her Dao Foundation was accomplished in just half a day. Charlotte Ling's strength reached Genesis Realm Perfection, yet her Dao Rhyme continued to soar. She knew that since she had been at Dao Fusion before her injury, maintaining this would let her break through again.

She fully understood the reason for her strength—it was all thanks to Joe Di. His cultivation technique benefited those around him. This realization both excited and awed Charlotte Ling.

This wasn't the first time she had encountered such a divinely favored cultivator, and she knew this was a rare opportunity for her.

Luna Fairchild frowned as she stood outside Joe Di's cave mansion, feeling helpless at the 'Do Not Disturb' sign hanging outside.

Once a cultivator hangs this sign, no matter how close you are, you can't disturb their seclusion.

"Master Luna, Joe Di and my maid have been inside for so long and still haven't come out. It's really..." Su Nuo's voice carried a hint of complaint.

Luna Fairchild smiled, "Joe is really mischievous. When we get back, I really need to have a good talk with him."

"My master invited Joe Di to join Winterhold Valley, and he didn't refuse," Su Nuo said with a smile.

Luna Fairchild replied nonchalantly, "He'll definitely come back with me. Do you know why he came to Celestial Moon City?"

"Why?" Su Nuo asked instinctively.

Luna Fairchild was about to answer when a hearty, Dao-infused laugh echoed nearby.

The laughter came from the depths of Pinechill Peak, its Dao Rhyme so strong that all of Winterhold Valley heard it instantly.

"It's Elder Yale from Winterhold Valley! He's out of seclusion!" Su Nuo exclaimed, eyes full of excitement.

Luna Fairchild frowned. If Elder Yale was out of seclusion, her plans would indeed become more complicated.
