She was the most talented young woman of the Yuan Family's generation, having reached Spiritualist Level Four two years ago.
Ever since Evelyn Yuan stepped onto the Martial Arena, she had never lost.
Queenie Zhu had just broken through to Spiritualist Level Four, so her strength was not on par with Evelyn Yuan.
But she had the advantage of wielding a fine sword.
The sword given to her by Dowager Lady Evelyn Zhu carried a lightning attribute, perfectly countering Evelyn Yuan.
The two were evenly matched, fighting dozens of rounds with no clear winner.
So Evelyn Yuan summoned her spirit beast onto the stage.
Her spirit beast was a white tiger, almost as tall as Evelyn Yuan herself, and looked absolutely intimidating.
Seeing this, Queenie Zhu brought out her Antler Serpent.
The Antler Serpent still looked half-asleep, adorably dazed, forming a stark contrast with the fierce, towering white tiger.
The crowd began to buzz with speculation.
Some guessed that this seemingly unimpressive serpent might be the Zhu family's secret weapon.
Others noticed the tuft of fur on its head, wondering if it was really the Antler Serpent or perhaps some other fierce spirit beast...
In short, everyone had an opinion, but no one dared underestimate it.
Grace watched, noting that the white tiger's power was about the same as Queenie Zhu's previous spotted leopard.
She could already imagine that it would be scared off by Cutie Pie's dragon aura, just like before.
"Queenie Zhu, lucky you!" Grace thought to herself. "I'll let you win this round, but later, I'll personally defeat you!"
Just as she was thinking this—"Roar!" The white tiger suddenly let out a deafening roar and strode toward Cutie Pie.
Cutie Pie lay curled up on the ground, not moving, looking like it had finally been startled awake, its eyes wide as it stared at the white tiger.
The white tiger stopped in front of Cutie Pie, lowered its head, and bared its teeth.
Cutie Pie remained perfectly still, just staring at it.
"Roar!" The white tiger let out another roar, as if showing off to Cutie Pie.
Huh? The white tiger wasn't scared off by the dragon aura surrounding Cutie Pie?
Just as she was puzzling over this, she saw that Cutie Pie actually seemed frightened by the white tiger. At its roar, Cutie Pie spun around and bolted, curling up in a corner and trembling.
Everyone was stunned for a moment, then burst into uproarious laughter.
"That Antler Serpent with the fuzzy head, I thought it was some amazing spirit beast, but it turned out to be such a coward!"
"Yeah! What was Queenie Zhu thinking? She must've lost her mind, bringing an Antler Serpent to a fight."
"That snake's just the right size to take home and make soup. Any bigger, and the meat would be tough!"
......
Hearing all the chatter, the Zhu family's girls couldn't sit still any longer. They all left the viewing area and headed down to the Martial Arena.
Jenny Zhu asked Grace, "What's up with your Antler Serpent?"
"No idea..." Grace was baffled, too.
In her heart, Cutie Pie was definitely a powerhouse.
That white tiger might not even be a match for it.
So what was going on?
"Go to the edge of the arena and cheer for the Antler Serpent. Quick!" one of the girls suggested to Grace.
Grace agreed it made sense, so she walked over and shouted to Cutie Pie, "Cutie Pie, go get 'em! Bite it! Your teeth are amazing, and you're super fast—I'm sure you can beat it!"
Sure enough, the Antler Serpent seemed to respond and finally crawled forward a little.
The white tiger charged, roaring as it opened its mouth to bite.
"Cutie Pie, go!" Grace cheered from the sidelines.
"Antler Serpent, bite it!" Jenny Zhu and the others shouted too.
But to everyone's surprise, when Cutie Pie saw the big tiger lunging at it, it got scared again and fled in panic!
