The Elder’s Terrifying Identity

1/19/2026

The destructive power of a God-Emperor battle is no joke. With Evan Chu’s current strength, he’s nowhere near able to withstand it, so he quickly retreated several hundred meters to see for himself just how terrifying a God-Emperor clash really is.

Lena Zhong sensibly retreated alongside Evan. This whole fight could’ve been avoided, but Dominic Bai was relentless, convinced Stormtower was scared of Rainbow Court and backing down. It was a matter of pride—one of the God Realm’s ten apex powers had to fight for its honor. And since this was about Evan, there was no way out; battle was inevitable.

“Evan, do you blame me for lying to you? For not telling you who I really am?” Lena whispered to Evan.

“Not at all. Everyone has their secrets. Some lies are harmless, even kind—I get it. I just didn’t expect your identity to be so special, so it caught me off guard for a moment,” Evan replied calmly.

Lena’s background is scary enough, but if Evan’s true identity were exposed, the entire God Realm would be shaken. If one of the strongest from back then—Lord Frostbane—returned, it’d flip the whole God Realm upside down.

“I’m glad you see it that way. I was worried you’d ignore me after this. Now, just watch—Stormtower’s about to teach Dominic Bai a lesson. Sure, Dominic’s late-stage God-Emperor, but my Protectors aren’t pushovers. I’m betting Dominic and his crew will lose in the end,” Lena said.

Just then, the elder who’d appeared in Azure Moon City floated over to Evan and Lena. “You two little dolls have some serious backgrounds—actually triggering a God-Emperor battle. The God Realm hasn’t seen a war like this in tens of thousands of years. It’s been peaceful for so long, but maybe this fight will turn everything upside down.”

The elder’s sudden appearance startled both Evan and Lena. For someone to just show up in front of them without either noticing—that took insane strength. Evan figured this old guy was at least a God-Emperor; calling him a God-King would be selling him short, since Lena herself was mid-stage God-King and she looked just as shocked.

“Senior, who are you, and why say such things? Please, enlighten us!” Lena spoke first. It was strange not to recognize someone this powerful, especially when he showed up here of all places.

“Who I am doesn’t matter. But don’t worry, I won’t hurt you—especially this kid here. I don’t know who you really are, but your talent is just shocking. In all my years in the God Realm, I’ve never seen anyone with as much potential as you,” the elder said.

“Senior, are you trying to recruit me? So, which faction do you belong to?” Evan asked. It was obvious this elder had been watching him for quite a while.

“If I’m not mistaken, Stormtower wants you to join too, right? Getting support from Stormtower’s Second Young Lady is a rare thing. I do want to recruit you, but I won’t force it. If these folks really start fighting, Rainbow Court and Stormtower will end up at odds, and the God Realm will be thrown into chaos.

So right now, my priority is to calm this battle down. As for who I am, you’ll know soon enough. Even if you don’t want to join my faction, I hope we can be friends someday. That’s not too much to ask, is it?” the elder said.

“Senior, you flatter me—I’m honestly overwhelmed. But I really don’t plan to join any faction right now, and I hope you understand. If you can stop this fight, I’ll be grateful. After all, it started because of me, but I’m too weak to resolve it myself. For now, I’ll have to trouble you,” Evan said solemnly.

The elder just smiled and said nothing more, then in a flash appeared above the seven combatants. Suddenly, seven pillars of light shot up into the sky—Evan recognized them instantly as Stellar Power beams. So God-Emperors really do fight with Stellar Power. If this battle went all-out, half of Azure Moon City—or maybe the whole thing—would be wiped out.

Seeing this made Evan crave more strength than ever, especially mastery of Stellar Power. Right now, he’d only managed to condense three Star Points inside himself, with four still a distant dream. But since his realm had just broken through, he figured another Star Point might be on the way—if only he had time to comprehend it.

At that moment, the elder suddenly spoke up: “Are you really trying to start a God Realm war? You’re all old enough to know better—how can you be so reckless? Dominic Bai, you’ve failed to teach your son and now you’re being unreasonable. And you four are way too hot-blooded. If this turns into a Stormtower–Rainbow Court feud, the whole God Realm will be thrown into chaos.”

By now, all seven had their Stellar Power ready to go. The elder’s sudden arrival caught them off guard, but if they didn’t unleash the Stellar Power they’d borrowed, it would damage their bodies. They were stuck riding a tiger—they couldn’t back down now.

With the seven unsure what to do, the elder said again, “Go ahead and release your Stellar Power—aim it at me. Watching you all act so recklessly is giving me a headache!”

Of course, the seven knew exactly who this elder was. Hearing his words, they didn’t hesitate—each unleashed their martial arts, combining them with Stellar Power and striking at the elder. This was a full-force attack from seven God-Emperors; the power was beyond imagination.

Evan and Lena were both stunned. They never imagined this elder could be so strong, casually ignoring attacks from seven God-Emperors. His strength had to be at least God-Venerable level—the absolute peak of the God Realm.

Evan was the most shaken of all. He had no idea when he’d ever reach such heights. A God-Venerable was just too strong—killing him would be easier than squashing an ant.

Evan saw a light pillar appear above the elder’s head too—another sign of borrowed Stellar Power. But that pillar instantly condensed into a blue energy barrier around him, clearly a Stellar Power shield meant to block the combined attack. Just thinking about it was terrifying.

They’d expected a deafening explosion, but there was nothing. The seven attacks hit the barrier and disappeared like stones sinking into the sea. The energy barrier just rippled once and faded, revealing the elder, completely unharmed.

“Greetings, Blue‑Shade God‑Venerable!” the seven said in unison, bowing to the elder.

When Lena heard the words ‘Blue‑Shade God‑Venerable,’ her face changed. “How can it be him? Why is he back in the God Realm?” Meanwhile, Evan was left completely confused, staring at Lena with a face full of questions…
