The figure before us looked like molten red magma, hunched over, with one red eye and one black eye, utterly devoid of emotion. A guttural sound rumbled from his throat.
With a sudden cry, a Blue Wraith turned into a streak of green light, darting outside. But in an instant, John Chou, transformed in this monstrous state, appeared before him.
In that moment, the fleeing Blue Wraith was torn apart, ripped to shreds by John Chou’s hands that resembled monstrous claws. John Chou opened his mouth wide and devoured the mangled remains of the Blue Wraith.
Suddenly, all the Blue Wraiths before us turned into green light, rising and fleeing in panic.
With a roar, John Chou let out a monster-like howl. The Soulreaver Blade seemed to emerge from water, floating out from his hand.
A scream rang out as another Blue Wraith, halfway through its escape, was grabbed by the head by John Chou. The Soulreaver Blade pierced its body and twisted relentlessly, splattering blood, flesh, and organs everywhere.
With a crash, John Chou appeared before another Blue Wraith, seized its head, and slammed it to the ground. Then, with a claw, he tore open its chest, exposing bone and viscera. With a squelch, John Chou stomped down hard.
Many Blue Wraiths had already escaped, but Lord Wraith remained motionless, floating in the air.
With a thunderous crash, a Blue Wraith impaled by the Soulreaver Blade was dragged across the ground, stone tiles flying and a deep crack splitting open.
As if venting some deep rage, John Chou suddenly appeared before Lord Wraith, his mouth open so wide it reached his neck, as if his entire head would split apart, screaming incessantly.
Lord Wraith stood before John Chou, expressionless and unmoving.
With a scream, I saw a Blue Wraith tumble back, its skin stripped away. One after another, Blue Wraiths staggered back.
"It’s... it’s the Bloodbane Shadow Realm..."
"We’re doomed, doomed. There’s no escape."
A Blue Wraith actually began to cry. John Chou’s lips twisted into a ninety-degree smile, and he let out a deafening roar.
The Blue Wraiths that had escaped fell back, battered and wounded—some barely clinging to life.
With a shout, Lord Wraith bellowed, thrusting his Wraith Fistblade toward John Chou. In that instant, fear broke all boundaries, and he finally struck.
With a snap, Lord Wraith’s Wraith Fistblade was caught in John Chou’s hands, unable to move. John Chou kept grinning grotesquely. Somehow, the Soulreaver Blade had pierced the head of a Blue Wraith below, its skull bursting and brain matter splattering.
With a crunch, Lord Wraith’s eyes widened as John Chou crushed the Wraith Fistblade in his grip.
"No..."
With a thunderous crash, red and black light intertwined around John Chou. Lord Wraith’s face caved in, and with a bang, he slammed into the ground, leaving a deep crater.
A Blue Wraith screamed as a series of explosive pops sounded from its body, as if stuffed with dynamite. Its flesh burst apart in chunks, blood spraying everywhere as it shrieked in terror.
"I don’t want to die, I don’t want to die..."
A Blue Wraith screamed, reaching out with its hands—its lower half nowhere to be seen, crawling desperately.
With a crack, the pale blue barrier before us split open. The old man from Exile Town looked grim.
"The air outside is filled with Bloodbane energy. I’m afraid my Five Elements Shield won’t last much longer. Everyone, hurry and stop Uncle Yin, or else..."
As soon as he finished speaking, Bo Ziran and Red Hair both flew out.
Just as Bo Ziran stepped outside, his outer garment instantly turned to tatters, then seemed to burn away into black ash.
John Chou still floated in the air, roaring furiously. The Blue Wraiths on the ground were either dead or wounded, none unscathed. Many still struggled to survive.
"Enough, Brother Yin, stop this madness." Bo Ziran said, floating before John Chou. A black flame ignited behind John Chou, and in an instant, the fire surged toward him.
With a scream, black flames engulfed John Chou, swallowing him whole. He clutched his head, crying out in agony.
With a snap, Bo Ziran suddenly exploded. A burst of fire lit up, and a burning dead branch fell helplessly to the ground.
"John Chou, aren’t you taking this a bit too far?"
With a punch, John Chou struck at Red Hair, but his fist missed—or rather, it landed, but Red Hair seemed made of black fire. John Chou’s fist stopped in the middle of Red Hair’s cheek, sizzling as black smoke billowed.
Looking at Bo Ziran, something writhed all over his body, like plants—tangled roots wrapped around him.
With a rumble, a giant bean-like plant burst from the ground, centered on Bo Ziran. Thick old roots snaked outward, instantly covering the ground beneath John Chou.
"John Chou, why the hell are you so devious? After all my hard work..."
Suddenly, Ji Yuner shouted, her spine glowing green. A pair of bone wings appeared, and she flew out, her whole body encased in bone, wielding a pair of bone daggers.
"You two, knock him down!" Bo Ziran roared.
Suddenly, Red Hair raised both hands and grabbed John Chou’s arms. The Soulreaver Blade emerged from John Chou’s body, and with a hiss, pierced Red Hair’s heart.

"Goddamn you, John Chou."
This time, Red Hair was stabbed squarely, blood streaming from his heart. With a clang, Ji Yuner’s bone dagger stabbed into John Chou’s back, and the three of them grappled fiercely.
With a bang, John Chou turned and swung his fist at Ji Yuner’s face. The bone plate on her cheek cracked, and she plummeted toward the ground. Branches rose up like a safety net, catching her.
"Now I’m really pissed, John Chou. Just you wait."
At this moment, John Chou broke free from Red Hair’s left hand, grabbed the Soulreaver Blade with his right, and pressed down, forcing Red Hair toward the ground.
With a boom, a mass of black flames erupted.
"Damn it, Red Hair, you..." Bo Ziran hadn’t finished speaking when all the old roots on the ground burst into flames and turned to ash.
With a creak, Ji Yuner flew over again.
"Heh, Ji Yuner, come play with me..."
Suddenly, Ouyang Meng blocked Ji Yuner’s path, striking a seductive pose with a wicked smile.
"Move, you damned freak."
"I won’t move. What’s wrong, you little brat?"
Ji Yuner, bone dagger in hand, didn’t hesitate and stabbed at Ouyang Wei.
With a roar, John Chou screamed in agony as Red Hair jabbed a finger into his forehead.
John Chou struggled to pull the Soulreaver Blade from his hand. Red Hair grinned, clutching his chest.
"Damn it, John Chou, come on! Who’s afraid of who?"
The scene erupted into chaos. Bo Ziran glanced around as John Chou and Red Hair brawled, while Ouyang Wei and Ji Yuner kept trading insults.
"Damn it, freak, what the hell do you want?"
"I told you, I’m not Ouyang Meng, can’t you understand? You little brat, I just can’t stand the sight of you."
A streak of purple light flashed, and in Ouyang Meng’s hand appeared a smooth, glowing purple sphere.
"You better watch out, you little brat."
As she spoke, the bones on Ji Yuner’s body cracked apart, and with a bang, her eyes widened. Purple marks streaked across her body, and in an instant, Ji Yuner burst into chunks of flesh, falling to the ground.
"Just wanted to test my hand. Bo Ziran, why don’t you play with me too?" Ouyang Wei appeared behind Bo Ziran, holding the purple sphere.
"When did you..."
Before Bo Ziran could finish, his eyes widened. His body shattered just like Ji Yuner’s—but only wood splintered.
"Aren’t you going a bit too far, Ouyang Wei..."
Bo Ziran’s face appeared below Ouyang Wei. Suddenly, white branches shot up from the ground, and with a cry, Ouyang Wei was trapped in a cage of branches.
"Move aside, Bo Ziran. I need to teach that freak a lesson."
A burst of green light flared, and Ji Yuner reappeared above the branch cage. To my surprise, her bone plates had turned green, and she was wrapped in them, looking completely different from before.
"Damn it, John Chou, what’s wrong? Weren’t you showing off? Heh, making such a scene at my birthday party."
Turning to the other side, Red Hair gripped John Chou’s neck, while black flames burned in patches across John Chou’s body, as if the fire was bursting out from within.
John Chou’s Soulreaver Blade was stabbed into Red Hair’s kneecap.
"Xiaoyuan, if you don’t stop them, things will get ugly. They’re all fired up and itching for a fight after so long."
The old man from Exile Town said this. I grunted, took a big step forward, and shouted loudly.
"Enough! Stop it, all of you!"
