Invitation Letter

2/27/2026

Evan Yang had never been caught using Heaven's Eye Sight before, so he was a bit suspicious. "Ghost Formation Sect, huh? You guys really are something else."

"Heaven's Eye Sight has only ever been mastered by one person in history. We've spent years searching and still can't find them. If you know anything, would you mind telling us?" Heaven Leaf's attitude toward Evan Yang suddenly shifted as he asked.

Evan Yang grinned, "I'm looking for that person too. You ask me, but who am I supposed to ask?" Truth be told, he really wanted to meet that senior—if he could learn face-to-face, that'd be a dream come true.

Seeing Evan Yang dodge the question, Heaven Leaf snorted coldly. "If you won't talk, we'll make you talk."

"You should worry about yourselves first. How long do you think your array can last?" Evan Yang chuckled.

"This formation can take on a hundred Heavenly Dao experts at once. So go ahead, bring it on!" Heaven Leaf sneered.

Evan Yang glanced at Lynn Sparks. "Why don't you try attacking it a few times?"

Lynn Sparks nodded and launched a few attacks at the array, but nothing happened. Evan Yang said, "Alright, that's enough."

"Got any tricks up your sleeve?" Lynn Sparks asked, curious.

"When it comes to tough formations, my favorite move is array-against-array. If it's strong, I'll just throw a bunch of arrays at it." Evan Yang laughed.

Lynn Sparks blinked. "What do you mean by 'a bunch of arrays'?"

"Just watch and see." Evan Yang laughed.

Lynn Sparks gave Evan Yang a doubtful look. Evan started setting up a big formation all around the array. The eight people inside glanced at each other, until Heaven Leaf suddenly shouted, "Array-against-array? How do you know that technique?!"

"You think I'm gonna tell you everything I know?" Evan Yang grinned.

"Array-against-array is super hard, and you have to set them all to explode at once. How can you pull that off alone?" Heaven Leaf asked skeptically.

"I said I can do it, so I can. You guys should worry about what you're gonna do in a minute." Evan Yang laughed again.

Heaven Leaf started eyeing Evan Yang suspiciously, and the other seven looked uneasy too. Heaven Leaf finally said, "This guy's way too weird. We might have to bail on this mission early."

"Senior, what do we do?" someone asked.

Heaven Leaf said, "Set up the Dodging-Void Array."

"Got it." The other seven nodded. All eight started unpacking the bundles on their backs—each one was a strange wooden block. Evan Yang watched from outside, puzzled. These eight blocks seemed to have some kind of mystical power that drew him in.

The eight of them arranged the wooden blocks into a special formation, waiting for whatever Evan Yang was about to do.

Evan Yang was ready. He laughed, "What are you guys up to now?"

"You don't need to know." Heaven Leaf replied with a grin.

Evan Yang grinned. "Alright, then. Let me show you what array-against-array really looks like." He and Lynn Sparks stepped back, and suddenly over a hundred arrays detonated at once. The explosion was so powerful it could wipe out half a planet. Lynn Sparks was stunned—Evan's move was terrifying, the sheer force was unreal.

"How are they?" Lynn Sparks guessed they were probably dead, but Evan Yang shook his head. "They escaped."

"What? They escaped from that? How? That's insane!" Lynn Sparks was baffled—how could anyone escape such a blast?

Evan Yang said, "Let's go take a look." He led Lynn Sparks over. The formation had been destroyed, leaving a massive crater, and there was no trace of the eight at all.

Evan Yang muttered, "It must've been that last array they set up."

"You mean those eight wooden blocks?" Lynn Sparks asked, curious.

"Those weren't just ordinary wooden blocks. Have you ever seen people lugging around eight blocks instead of just tossing them in a ring?" Evan Yang wondered aloud.

"Maybe those blocks just aren't meant to go in a ring," Lynn Sparks said.

"If that's the case, then they're definitely special," Evan Yang muttered.

"Damn, they got away," Lynn Sparks said angrily. Evan Yang grinned, "Relax, they'll be back." Right now, Evan was sure he'd caught their interest—and they had his, too. Especially since he still had no clue about the person who passed down Heaven's Eye Sight. If he could get answers from them, that'd be perfect.

Lynn Sparks eyed him suspiciously. "You're really that sure?"

"Of course. Just wait and see," Evan Yang laughed.

So Lynn Sparks kept patrolling with Evan Yang. This time, Evan didn't resist—he wanted to see if those guys would come back.

Meanwhile, Heaven Leaf and his crew had already returned to their sect. All eight were badly wounded, hit by the aftermath of Evan Yang's array explosion.

Two people stood nearby—one was treating them, and the other was an elder whose clothes kept changing color. No one could figure out what the fabric was made of.

"Master." The eight greeted the old man as soon as they saw him.

The elder looked puzzled. "What happened here?"

"Master, we ran into someone on that planet who really gets arrays. Not only does he have Heaven's Eye Sight, he also knows array-against-array!" Heaven Leaf reported.

"What? You actually met someone like that? No way! The two strongest skills in the formation world, all in one person?" The elder was skeptical.

"We're telling the truth, Master. If you don't believe us, you can come see for yourself," Heaven Leaf said.

The elder nodded. "Alright, I get it. You guys focus on healing up. As for him, I can't go find him right now—something's loosening again, so we need to stabilize the arrays. But you can go for me, just tell him it's my invitation."

"Huh? Master, you're inviting him? No way, he seems to hate us. Every time he sees us, he tries to beat us up." Heaven Leaf was doubtful.

"That's because you guys went there searching for that item, so they thought you had bad intentions. Of course you suffered. I'll write him a letter, you show it to him and he'll understand. Unless he's some big villain—then I'll have to kill him, just to prevent trouble later." the elder said.

Heaven Leaf nodded. "Alright, got it."

The elder left for his study, wrote something on special paper, sealed it, and handed it to Heaven Leaf.

Since Heaven Leaf and the others were still injured, they'd have to wait a day or two before heading out.

Meanwhile, Evan Yang and Lynn Sparks kept patrolling, waiting for the Ghost Formation Sect to show up again.

"Hey, why aren't they here yet?" Lynn Sparks asked, a little suspicious.

Evan Yang chuckled, "They were seriously injured. Coming back so soon? Not likely."

"True, even if they did escape, there's no way they got out of that explosion unscathed," Lynn Sparks muttered.

Evan Yang just smiled helplessly. Three days later, they finally ran into the group again—though it was obvious they still hadn't fully recovered.

But they showed up anyway. Evan Yang asked, "You guys are still hurt and you came back?"

"I'm not here to fight this time. I have something for you," Heaven Leaf said, not looking happy about it but still being polite. Evan Yang eyed him. "Something for me? What is it?"

"See for yourself." Heaven Leaf handed over a letter. Evan Yang took it, curious. Lynn Sparks asked, "What if it's a bomb or something?"

"Relax, I'm not scared," Evan Yang said with a laugh. He opened the letter and, after reading it, frowned. "Who's your master, anyway?"

"Obviously, the sect master of the Ghost Formation Sect," Heaven Leaf replied.

Evan Yang muttered to himself, "So there's stuff like this in the Chaos World? Looks like I really need to go check it out."

"What's wrong?" Lynn Sparks asked, seeing Evan Yang's odd expression. He snapped out of it. "Senior Sister, I might need to go with them."

"What? No way! If Master finds out, you're toast. Besides, if you go with them, what if they capture you? Outside isn't like here—here, we can limit their strength, but outside, that's impossible." Lynn Sparks was instantly alarmed.

Evan Yang said, "Take me to see Master. I need to talk to her."

Lynn Sparks hesitated, but Evan Yang insisted, "Just take me to her."

Lynn Sparks sighed. "Alright, come with me."

Then Evan Yang told the others, "Wait here for me. I'll come find you later."

The two left. Someone asked Heaven Leaf, "Senior, do you think that kid will chicken out?"

"No idea," Heaven Leaf replied, shaking his head.

"Hmph, if he really does show up, and he comes to our place where his strength isn't restricted, I'll make sure he gets what's coming to him," someone said angrily.

Someone chimed in, "Yeah, the injuries from a few days ago nearly killed me."

"Don't mess around. He's here on Master's invitation. If you do anything, Master will blame you," Heaven Leaf warned.

"Relax, Senior. We'll be careful. Just want to teach him a lesson," someone laughed. The others had similar thoughts. Heaven Leaf knew it was impossible to suppress their feelings—after all, they'd nearly died just days ago.

Meanwhile, Evan Yang and Lynn Sparks arrived on Genius Star and quickly found their Master.

"What do you need?" Elder Maris asked, curious. Evan Yang replied, "Master, I might have to visit the Ghost Formation Sect."

"Ghost Formation Sect? What for?" Elder Maris asked suspiciously.

Evan Yang showed Elder Maris the letter. After reading it, she asked, "You know Heaven's Eye Sight? And array-against-array?"

"Yeah," Evan Yang admitted honestly.

Elder Maris thought for a moment. "Actually, I've known about this for a while. Didn't expect it to come up so soon. Since you can help, go ahead—this concerns the safety of the entire Chaos World."

"Thank you, Master," Evan Yang said.

"Go on, then. When you get back, I'll teach you about the planes," Elder Maris promised. Evan Yang was thrilled. "Alright, I'm off."

Evan Yang left. Lynn Sparks asked, "Master, why are you letting him go?"
