I'm Leaving

"Two hundred and ten million Freedom Points, second call..." Apryl Sway continued to chant the bid.

Emperor Leon Yue's expression grew calm instead. Two hundred and ten million Freedom Points was an astronomical figure, even for his Tianyun Dao. With so many top-grade Immortal Crystals, even the whole Tianyun Dao might not be able to produce such a sum.

But now that things had come to this, he felt little fear. He didn't even bother to provoke Di Jiu verbally. A cultivator who could so precisely match his bid was certainly not the reckless fool who casually threw out tens of millions of Freedom Points. Attempting to anger him would be pointless.

As a Grand Immortal Emperor and the sect master of one of the five great sects of Magic Garment Immortal Continent, he could still produce such an astronomical amount of Immortal Crystals if needed.

"Two hundred and ten million Freedom Points, third call. Congratulations to this friend for winning the Spiritfire Escape at a price of two hundred and ten million!" Apryl Sway struck the gavel to finalize the sale.

All the cultivators at the auction knew something was off with this price.

Emperor Leon Yue took out a ring and handed it to the cultivator beside him. "Take this to the auction house and have them appraise the items inside. Use it as collateral for the Spiritfire Escape."

"Yes, sir." The cultivator took the ring and quickly walked out.

Whether Emperor Leon Yue could produce two hundred and ten million Freedom Points was none of Apryl Sway's concern. She produced a jade vial and held it up. "Next up for auction is a bottle of Trueglass Elixir. Many have never even heard of Trueglass Elixir. That's fine—just know it's a life-restoring treasure.

Trueglass Elixir is unlike other life-restoring treasures. It doesn't extend your lifespan, but instead restores vitality. When a cultivator's vitality is depleted, Trueglass Elixir can replenish it. Remember, it's for cultivators. Because it contains Dao resonance laws, especially for vitality stripped by the Five Elements, Trueglass Elixir is one hundred percent effective..."

Joe Di's heart stirred as he listened. He had expected to wait another day or so, but the Trueglass Elixir was already up for auction. He had made up his mind: once he secured the Trueglass Elixir, he would leave immediately. Although there were still many items he desired, he couldn't afford to delay any longer.

A vague sense of crisis made him extremely uneasy. Even if there were sword dao divine abilities and Pengyue Immortal Fruit he urgently needed, he no longer cared.

Apryl Sway explained, "Trueglass Elixir has appeared only a handful of times—less than three, to be exact. If you miss this opportunity, there's no telling when you'll have another chance to buy it. The starting price for this bottle is twelve million Freedom Points, with each bid increment no less than one million." With that, she placed the jade vial on the auction table.

Moments later, the price displayed on the massive bidding screen jumped to twenty million Freedom Points.

Joe Di sighed. This wasn't his bid—it seemed he wasn't the only one who wanted the Trueglass Elixir.

He had plenty of Freedom Points, but it looked like he was about to offend someone again.

"Twenty-three million Freedom Points!"

"Twenty-five million Freedom Points!"

The price of the Trueglass Elixir soared. If no one knew he was bidding, Joe Di had planned to raise the price slowly. He knew that once he bid, many would realize he was competing. He decided to stick to his usual bold bidding style.

Holly Chance, seated in the grand hall, looked around excitedly. She knew that if Joe Di was here, he would surely bid for this item. Unfortunately, she had no idea where Joe Di was sitting.

The price of Trueglass Elixir—tens of millions of Freedom Points—might be astronomical for others, but for Joe Di, it was nothing. Thanks to his starry tea business, he had plenty of Freedom Points to spend...

As Holly Chance realized this, her heart skipped a beat. She suddenly remembered the cultivator who had crazily bid for Chrono Crystal and Prime Iron earlier. That cultivator was most likely Joe Di; only Joe Di could spend so many Freedom Points so freely.

If the person even threatening Emperor Leon Yue was truly Joe Di, then Joe Di was in danger this time. The thought made Holly Chance anxious.

If Joe Di was in danger, there was nothing she could do to help.

"Fifty million Freedom Points!" Joe Di raised the bid by over twenty million at once.

He's back again—that was the only thought in everyone's mind at the auction. Only the powerful figure who had mocked Emperor Leon Yue would dare to bid like this.

"I bid fifty-one million Freedom Points. Friend, I, Paul Rivers, beg you this once—this bottle of Trueglass Elixir is of great use to me." A sincere, resonant voice rang out, full of pleading.

Apryl Sway hesitated, but before she could speak, a powerful voice echoed through the auction hall, "If anyone interferes with the auction again, they will be escorted out immediately."

Joe Di unhesitatingly raised the bid to sixty million Freedom Points. He felt apologetic, but he could not let the Trueglass Elixir go to anyone else.

"One hundred million Freedom Points." To Joe Di's surprise, someone immediately raised the bid to a full hundred million.

He hadn't made this bid, and he was certain Paul Rivers hadn't either. Could it be the Immortal Emperor who had competed with him for the Spiritfire Escape?

Joe Di raised the bid to one hundred and ten million Freedom Points, then laughed and said, "What boldness, friend, to bid a full hundred million at once. I don't have such nerve—I'll just add ten million."

Emperor Leon Yue stared at the screen displaying one hundred and ten million. He wanted to bid two hundred million Freedom Points, but worried that if he did, Joe Di might back out. Buying the Spiritfire Escape had nearly exhausted his resources; another round would force him to use his most precious treasures.

At least making the other side pay fifty million more Freedom Points helped him regain some face.

"One hundred and ten million Freedom Points, first call. Is there anyone willing to bid higher?" Apryl Sway continued the auction chant.

In truth, Joe Di didn't really care. If Emperor Leon Yue kept bidding, he would keep raising the price without hesitation. Even knowing he was being manipulated, he couldn't give up the Trueglass Elixir.

Unfortunately, Emperor Leon Yue didn't realize that selling a bottle of Trueglass Elixir for one hundred and ten million was already outrageous. Its true value should have been around twenty million Freedom Points.

"One hundred and ten million Freedom Points, second call... One hundred and ten million, third call! Congratulations to this friend for winning the Trueglass Elixir." As Apryl Sway finished speaking, a transaction screen appeared before Joe Di.

Joe Di quickly swiped his identity card, transferring one hundred and ten million Freedom Points. The Trueglass Elixir appeared before him.

Joe Di excitedly stowed away the Trueglass Elixir and stood up—he could finally leave.

Holly Chance realized it too—Joe Di was definitely the one who had mocked Emperor Leon Yue earlier. She admired Joe Di but wondered how he would manage to leave. No matter when he left, someone would be watching him. She hoped Joe Di was aware of this.

After all he'd been through, Joe Di certainly knew he was constantly under surveillance. The moment he opened the private room door, everyone would know he was about to leave.

In truth, Joe Di wasn't worried about Emperor Leon Yue. Though formidable, he hesitated too much. What concerned Joe Di was Paul Rivers—he could tell from Paul's words that his need for Trueglass Elixir was just as urgent.

"Ha! I've gained plenty from this auction. I'm leaving now. That guy who kept running his mouth about me—if you want a showdown, I'll be waiting at the Cauldron Haven city gate for half a stick of incense. If you don't show up in time, then just slink away!" Joe Di laughed heartily, swallowed a Vein-Split Pill, opened the private room door, and strode out of the auction hall without hurry.

So strong! That was the thought running through every cultivator at the auction.

If he were weak, would he dare announce his departure so openly?

Emperor Leon Yue snorted coldly and also stood up. "In that case, I'll see if your skills match your words."

Joe Di's words were clearly a provocation. Even if Emperor Leon Yue had planned to let him go, as the sect master of Tianyun Dao, he couldn't back down after such a challenge.

At that moment, not only Emperor Leon Yue but many Immortal Emperors stood up and left the auction hall. With a prize like Joe Di, who wouldn't want a piece? If Joe Di was truly strong, so be it. But if he was bluffing, they wouldn't hesitate to swarm him. At least Joe Di had succeeded—many left the auction, but none attacked him immediately.

"Fellow Daoist, I, Paul Rivers, truly need the Trueglass Elixir. Please, wait a moment..." As soon as Joe Di left the auction, Paul Rivers hurried after him.

Joe Di snorted coldly. "After I've settled things with that ant, then we can talk about the Trueglass Elixir."

With that, he flashed forward, heading straight for the Cauldron Haven city gate. His whole body seemed to burn like fire—under the Vein-Split Pill's effect, his Immortal Essence surged wildly, boosting his cultivation.
