How Dare You Insult Me
Inside that room, everything in sight—tables, chairs, benches—had been smashed to pieces.
The window was completely gone, leaving only a broken hole in the wall.
Evan Xiao and Leon Zane... both had vanished.
"Miss Grace, Miss Grace!" Louis Lin called out to her from below the window.
Grace walked over to the window and looked down, only to see him jumping and waving at her energetically.
"Miss Grace, the General is in critical condition. The Imperial Advisor took him back to the Imperial Advisor's Manor first! He said not to worry, Evan will be fine by tomorrow."
Back to the Imperial Advisor's Manor?
Is Leon Zane... trying to steal him from me?
Who would've thought he had such a hobby?
Isn't he afraid his reputation will go up in flames!
A wave of loneliness swept over her. Grace stayed silent for a long moment before replying, "Got it!"
Seeing all the debris scattered on the floor, she couldn't help but recall that time she drugged Evan Xiao, he kissed her, and then, conflicted, smashed the door with his fist...
Could all this mess be the result of his inner turmoil too?
......
"Grace!" Shannon came looking for her. She paused in shock at the sight of the room. "What happened here? Where are my cousin and the General?"
"They said they're going to the Imperial Advisor's Manor to cure him." Grace replied, suddenly her eyes flashed with hostility. "Where's Bianca Whiteshire?"
"She's already awake."
Grace strode over to the room Evan Xiao had just left.
She saw Bianca Whiteshire sitting on the ground, clutching her forehead, which had a huge bump. She was hissing in pain.
The room was filled with a faint scent of herbs.
That scent... it was exactly the same as the one from the incense she picked up at Moonwater Abbey.
......
Grace narrowed her eyes and grabbed Bianca Whiteshire by the collar. "You wretch!"
"How dare you! You dare insult me?" Bianca Whiteshire stared at her, eyes wide.
Grace slapped her across the face. "Insult you? I'm not just insulting you, I'm going to beat you up! Shameless woman! Came all this way just to steal my man!"
With that, she landed several more slaps.
She didn't hold back. Bianca Whiteshire's face was soon covered in finger marks and began to swell.
"Chloe Zhu! I'll kill you! I'll wipe out your whole family! No—your entire clan!" Bianca Whiteshire screamed.
"Come on, then! If I even blink, I'll write my name backwards!"
Just then, Shannon stepped in to mediate. "Grace! She didn't succeed in her scheme, so let it go!"
Grace angrily shoved Bianca Whiteshire away. "Bianca Whiteshire, if it weren't for Shannon's sake, I'd have finished you off!"
As a princess of the Eastern Luo Empire, Bianca Whiteshire had never been beaten in her life.
Now, she was so furious her insides were shaking—she wanted to torture Grace a hundred different ways!
But... she had just been demoted to a sixth-rank Spirit Practitioner.
She didn't have the strength to fight back at all!
Slowly, she stood up, wiped the blood from her mouth, and said, word by word, "Fine! Thank you for sparing me!"
She turned to Shannon, gritting her teeth. "Bianca Whitefan, thank you too! You really know how to pick a friend!"
With her swollen face covered in finger marks, her poisonous glare and twisted expression made her look like a vengeful ghost.
Shannon frowned, her expression calm. "You should leave now! If you wait until the General recovers, you might not get another chance!"
Bianca Whiteshire took a deep breath and nodded. "I'm leaving! I keep my word—I won't come back!"
Shannon nodded.
Bianca Whiteshire turned and walked downstairs.
