Snow Grace's Strategy

1/4/2026

Snow Grace felt a jolt in her heart.

This is bad.

They all know I had lunch alone with Max Mo. They must be disgusted with me now.

Snow Grace thought it over and guessed that Julia Yu probably didn't want to be used by her, so she did this on purpose.

This woman is really hard to please!

Snow Grace gritted her teeth.

When Snow Grace went to Julia Yu's office, she was told Julia had already left and apparently took Lisa Li to a matchmaking meeting.

Unable to find Julia Yu, Snow Grace could only turn away in frustration and head back to her own office.

That evening, Snow Grace kept an eye on Max Mo's office, and when the lights finally went out, she packed up her things and prepared to leave.

Sure enough, the two of them bumped into each other in the underground parking lot.

“Why are you leaving so late too, Miss Grace?” Max Mo asked.

Snow Grace immediately put on a smile and said, “It's my first time handling these things, so I'm bound to make mistakes. I wanted to ask Julia Yu for help this afternoon, but for some reason, she wasn't in her office...”

A few of Max Mo's assistants nearby showed a trace of disdain on their faces.

Her way of complaining is really lacking in skill.

Max Mo smiled gently and said, “The nature of Julia Yu's job means she can't always stay in the office. She's highly capable, and as long as she gets her work done, it doesn't matter if she comes to the office every day.”

Snow Grace quickly replied, “Exactly! Julia Yu's abilities are admired by so many people. If I were as capable as she is, I could help you out too, Mr. Mo.”

Max Mo just smiled.

Snow Grace saw the conversation cooling off. Though she was reluctant to leave, she had no choice but to go.

She was afraid that if she got impatient, she'd ruin the great situation she had now.

Just look—how many women out there dream of even saying a word to Max Mo and never get the chance?

Honestly, she's already doing pretty well—she gets to see him every day, chat with him sometimes, and that's enough to make all those jealous women green with envy!

“Take care, Mr. Mo. I'll head out first.” Snow Grace looked at Max Mo with reluctant affection, then turned to unlock her car.

Max Mo nodded and, accompanied by his assistant, got into his own car.

Just as Max Mo's car was about to start, a loud crash came from Snow Grace's direction.

Looking in the rearview mirror, Max Mo saw Snow Grace's car slam right into a pillar.

It was obvious she’d mistaken the gas pedal for the brake.

Max Mo's assistant couldn't help but sneer, “Miss Grant really is a princess—she can't go anywhere without a driver.”

Max Mo shot his assistant a look, and the assistant immediately shut up.

“Go check on her,” Max Mo said softly.

Someone quickly got out of the car to check on Snow Grace.

Snow Grace clambered out of her car awkwardly and squatted down to inspect it for a long time, but couldn't make sense of it.

The assistant took a quick look and said to Snow Grace, “This car isn't going anywhere tonight. It’s so banged up—you should call a tow truck for repairs.”

Snow Grace looked crestfallen. “Ugh, I really am hopeless. Can't even drive a car properly. Thank you.”

The assistant asked, “Do you have any family here? Maybe they can pick you up.”

Snow Grace had been waiting for this question. She quickly replied, “Nope, it's just me here. Anyway, you should get Mr. Mo home. I'll figure something out myself.”

Max Mo overheard their conversation, his brows furrowing.

As a gentleman, how could he just ignore her plight?

Max Mo immediately got out of the car and walked over to Snow Grace. “What's wrong?”

Snow Grace's heart started pounding wildly.

This was a rare chance to be alone with him!

She absolutely couldn't miss this chance!

Snow Grace forced herself to calm down, turned back with an innocent look, and said, “Mr. Mo? I'm fine, really. I've already called for a tow truck, and I'll just take a cab home later.”

She took a step forward after speaking, then let out a low cry.

Max Mo looked down and saw that Snow Grace's ankle was red and swollen.

She must've hurt herself.

How could she possibly walk out like this?

No outside vehicles are allowed into the Mo Consortium's underground garage.

“Let me give you a ride home,” Max Mo offered. “After all, you're our main supplier—I can't just leave you here.”

Snow Grace was thrilled inside, but said, “Wouldn't that be too much trouble?”

All of Max Mo's assistants rolled their eyes in perfect unison.

Whatever, as long as the boss is happy.

If she's a white lotus, then so be it.

Max Mo had an assistant help Snow Grace into his car, seating her across from him.

Once the door closed, Max Mo picked up a magazine and started reading.

Snow Grace wanted to make conversation but couldn't find a good topic, so she finally said, “Sorry for always troubling you, Mr. Mo.”

“It's no trouble,” Max Mo replied coolly.

Snow Grace gathered her courage and asked, “By the way, is the apartment where Lisa Li and Julia Yu live also a company perk? I heard Julia Yu lives there, so I bought a place in the same complex. I thought having someone I know nearby would be convenient, but Julia's so busy, I barely see her.”

“Mm.” Max Mo responded indifferently, without explaining whether it was a company perk or just that Julia Yu was busy.

Seeing Max Mo's cold attitude, Snow Grace couldn't help feeling a little defeated.

She'd gone to all this trouble scheming, and it wasn't just to have Max Mo treat her coldly.

Snow Grace's strategy had always been 'besiege Wei to rescue Zhao.'

She slowly built goodwill with Max Mo's inner circle, then planned to win Max Mo himself.

But now, it seemed that earning Julia Yu's favor was going to be tough.

Should she change tactics?

Just as Snow Grace was deep in thought, Max Mo spoke up, “We're here.”

Snow Grace snapped back to reality and saw the car had arrived at her apartment building.

She felt a wave of regret—why was this ride so short?

Max Mo told his assistant, “Take Miss Grace upstairs and call a doctor for her.”

“Yes, Mr. Mo.” The assistant opened the door and helped Snow Grace out of the car.

Before getting out, Snow Grace couldn't help but glance back at Max Mo.

Why didn't Max Mo personally take her home?

She'd already planned what to say and do once Max Mo brought her upstairs.

But...

Never mind.

There's always next time.

Snow Grace didn't linger; with the assistant's help, she hopped into the elevator and was soon home.

“No need to trouble yourself,” Snow Grace said quickly when the assistant tried to call a doctor for her. “I have my own family doctor—I already texted him, and he'll be here soon. Thanks for everything today.”

Seeing Snow Grace had it covered, the assistant didn't insist and left after nodding.

The assistant returned to the car, reported to Max Mo, and Max Mo simply told the driver to head back.

“Boss...” Max Mo's Chief Special Assistant couldn't help asking, “What do you think of Miss Grace?”
