Evan Chu glanced at the falling corpse of the beast and gave a faint smile. At this point, Shadow could no longer absorb any more energy from the tusked wild boar—what a pity. His own storage ring didn’t have space for such a huge carcass, so he had to leave it behind.
"Evan, are you hurt?" Claire Ouyang dismissed the Goldscale Coat’s protective barrier and asked worriedly.
"Don't worry about me—my injuries are nothing, they'll heal in a bit. But Selena, are you okay?" Evan turned to the Dream Maiden and asked.
"I'm fine," Selena replied. "I just burned through a lot of Stellar Power and couldn't use demonic qi, so I was forced to fight on the defensive. Give me a bit to recover and I'll be all right."
At this moment, Evan's wounds were rapidly knitting together. The two women could only describe his recovery ability with one word: monstrous.
Evan glanced around and asked, "Which direction did Old Goldwing and the others fly off to? We need to find them quickly. This is monster territory—powerful beasts could show up at any moment. The commotion we just caused definitely alerted some of the stronger monsters nearby. I'm worried they might be in danger."
"I think they headed west. Let’s hurry and catch up!" Selena said.
Evan grabbed Selena’s hand and said, "Let me fly you there. You’ve burned too much Stellar Power, flying will just wear you out."
"Evan, what happened to that old woman? You didn’t actually kill her, did you? I heard that middle-aged man say she was at the Eighth-Layer Divine Martial Realm." Claire said.
"That old woman turned out to be a giant python—over a hundred meters long. I only managed to kill her by sheer luck. If I’d fought her head-on, I wouldn’t have stood a chance. What’s strange is, why haven’t any of them used Spatial Lockdown yet?" Evan said as he flew.
