Two Beasts Absorb Stellar Power

1/19/2026

When the astral gale battered his body, Evan Chu barely felt a thing. His physical defense now was absolutely monstrous—if a First-Layer Saint Martial expert went all out, he might actually eat the hit and walk away.

In the midst of the astral gale, Evan Chu didn’t dare teleport far—his body was just too huge. Every time he hit a boulder, he’d get knocked flying dozens of meters. After dozens of short-range teleports, he finally punched through that terrifying wind barrier.

At that moment, he realized there was actually solid ground beneath him. Maybe it was a gigantic floating rock, maybe something else, but either way—his feet were firmly planted.

The Stellar Power here was overwhelming—more than twice as dense as what he’d found in the Stellar Cultivation Chamber. Evan Chu was itching to sit down and absorb it; maybe he could even break through another realm right here.

“Wait patiently, Linfeng. Even if you want to absorb it now, you’re powerless—don’t forget what kind of body you’re in. Once you recover your usual form, summon the Bloodshadow Berserker Lion. This Stellar Power is incredibly valuable for him. Of course, Goldwing can absorb it too.” Sword Spirit Luna spoke up at that moment.

Looking at the distant Starflare Stone radiating white light, Evan Chu’s heart raced. There could be several—or even dozens—of Star Crystals over there. If he got his hands on them, he might just become the richest cultivator in all of Azure Tide Ruins.

If he could pull that off, rebuilding Frostbane Sect would be a breeze. But looking down at his current body, Evan Chu couldn’t help feeling a little helpless.

He had no idea how much time passed before he noticed his dragon scales slowly starting to recede. That was the sign—it was finally time to return to his human body.

Moments later, a flash of golden light swept across him, and Evan Chu was fully restored—except he was stark naked. Glancing at his body, he realized his skin had turned a bronze color, so he quickly grabbed some clothes from his storage ring and threw them on.

Just then, a crushing pressure slammed into him—strong as the Gravity Chamber’s force. But with his current physical defense, he didn’t fear it at all.

With a flash of red light, Shadow instantly transformed into a mountain-sized lion. But the bigger he got, the worse the trembling—his whole body shook even more violently. That was the price of a larger surface area under this crushing force.

Then, a deafening lion's roar exploded from his mouth, nearly bursting Evan's eardrums. Evan cursed, "Are you trying to get yourself killed? Just absorb the energy, don't scream like a maniac! I almost went deaf because of you!"

Shadow looked pitifully at Evan. "Boss, I can't help it! That's just what happens when I absorb this kind of power. Don't be so stingy, okay?"

Evan honestly wanted to smack this guy—his ears were still ringing, and now Shadow was calling him petty.

Just then, Shadow opened his massive jaws and took a powerful breath. Instantly, the previously calm space erupted into a raging air current. Evan was stunned—just one inhale from Shadow drew in a truly mind-boggling amount of energy.

For a long stretch, Shadow kept absorbing without pause, and Evan could feel the pressure around him lightening noticeably. Meanwhile, the red glow surrounding Shadow grew brighter and brighter.

After a while, Shadow finally stopped. His body shrank down to about the size of a calf, and he told Evan, "Big bro, this is the fullest I've ever been—there's no way I can absorb any more. Once I finish digesting all this, I'll be able to follow you anywhere!"

Shadow was clearly excited, and Evan understood his mood. He asked, "How long will it take this time? When you come out, will you be able to take down a Fifth-Layer Divine Martial expert?"

Shadow, no longer trembling now that the pressure was no threat, grinned, "It'll take about half a year for me to evolve. When I come out, I should be able to fight even Ninth-Layer Divine Martial powerhouses."

Evan was floored. "That strong? You could go toe-to-toe with a Ninth-Layer Divine Martial master? Your progress is downright terrifying!"

Shadow didn't say another word. His body flashed with red light and disappeared into Evan's contract space. Evan couldn't help but feel genuinely happy—if Shadow could keep evolving like this, maybe one day he'd be able to slay Saint Martial experts.

With a thought, Evan summoned Goldwing again. This time, Goldwing could stand tall. "Boss, the Stellar Power here has gotten a lot weaker, but for me, it's just right!" he exclaimed.

"Take it slow, Goldwing. I still hope to see you evolve into a true Golden-Winged Roc someday." Evan joked, smiling.

"I'll give it my all! As long as I'm following you, Boss, I know that day will come!" Goldwing replied, full of confidence.

Evan glanced at the distant Starflare Stone. "You stay here and absorb energy—I'm heading over there." With that, he strode straight toward the faintly glowing Starflare Stone...
