How Can You Ask Such a High-Class Question

1/11/2026

After a short while, Lillian Liu finished cleaning up the kitchen and walked out, only to find Ian Song standing outside, watching her with a mischievous glint in his eyes.

She couldn’t help but feel a bit nervous. "What are you planning to do?"

"What do you think?"

Ian’s lips curled into a wicked grin. He walked over and pinned her against the wall with one hand.

"Y-You… don’t do anything crazy, okay? If Coco comes back and sees this, it won’t be good." Lillian felt like a little rabbit in front of the big bad wolf.

"Relax, they won’t be back so soon!" As he spoke, Ian lifted Lillian’s smooth chin with his other hand and kissed her hard on her cherry lips.

"Mmmph!"

After a brief struggle, Lillian started to respond to him.

A few minutes later, their lips finally parted.

Suddenly, voices came from outside. Lillian, startled like a frightened rabbit, shoved Ian away and dashed off.

Sure enough, a moment later, Coco Guan returned, holding Jewel’s hand.

Coco shot Ian a knowing look, as if asking, "How did it go?"

Ian licked his lips, looking thoroughly satisfied.

…………

Several days flew by in a flash.

After merging the two enclaves, the number of combat personnel reached thirty thousand.

Now, Huahai was divided into five zones: Corpse One and Corpse Two each controlled one zone, and the Yanhuang Survivor Base held another.

The remaining two zones were occupied by mutant beasts and mutant plants, respectively.

Both the mutant beasts and mutant plants were extremely powerful, and Ian wasn’t yet confident enough to take them on.

So, his current focus was to intensify the training of his warriors, aiming for every fighter to reach late-postnatal stage before launching a decisive attack on those mutant beasts and plants.

"President, there’s a group outside claiming to be from the Heavensnare Order. They want to see you."

Kevin Zhou hurried over to report to Ian Song.

"Heavensnare Order!"

Hearing those words, Ian’s expression turned serious. After enslaving the upper ranks of the Myriad Beasts Order, he had learned many hidden secrets about this world.

Eighty years ago, Elder Starseer left behind a prophecy and ascended.

Since then, the cultivation world in Huaxia retreated into the mountains, living in seclusion and secretly developing. By the time the apocalypse hit, ordinary people barely knew cultivators existed.

But after the apocalypse, these hidden Orders revealed themselves, carving up territory and dividing Huaxia among themselves.

There were seventy-two hidden Orders in total.

And among them, there were different ranks and tiers.

The Heavensnare Order was the strongest of the seventy-two, ruling three entire provinces—one of which bordered South China Province.

Now, what were the Heavensnare people here for?

Could they be trying to secretly recruit me as their hidden agent?

After thinking it over, Ian waved at Kevin. "Invite them in. Actually, I’ll go greet them myself!"

Ian went to greet them himself—not because he was afraid of the Heavensnare Order, but to probe their intentions by appearing modest.

The Heavensnare delegation wasn’t large—just six people.

Two women and four men.

Of the two women, one wore a pure white long dress. She was tall and slender, her long hair flowing, her aura ethereal—like a fairy who’d descended to the mortal world. Unfortunately, her face was hidden behind a white veil.

The other girl wore a green gauze dress. She was beautiful, about seventeen or eighteen, probably the veiled woman’s maid or attendant.

As for the four men, judging by their clothes, they were likely the veiled woman’s escorts.

"Hello, beautiful! Welcome to the Yanhuang Survivor Base!"

Ian led the core leaders of the base to greet them.

"How dare you! This is Her Highness the Saintess!" the maid next to the veiled woman scolded Ian.

Ian wasn’t bothered by the maid’s scolding. Instead, he grinned and asked, "So you’re the Saintess? My apologies. May I ask how I should address you, Your Highness?"

The maid scolded again, "Insolence! How could the likes of you, a mere mortal, be worthy to know my lady’s name?"

Ian frowned. "Then what should I call her?"

"Of course, it’s ‘Her Highness the Saintess!’" the maid said proudly.

Suddenly, Ian pointed at the maid and cursed, "Screw you! Who the hell do you think you are? I’ve been patient because you’re a woman, but don’t think I won’t lose my temper. You’re getting way too full of yourself!"

The maid was stunned at first, then started trembling with rage. She glared at Ian. "Y-You… how dare you insult me?"

"Somebody, throw them out! Damn it, coming here and making a scene on my turf!"

Immediately, a group of warriors rushed over, weapons aimed at the six visitors.

"Everyone, our base doesn’t welcome you. Please leave!"

Seeing the warriors about to drive them out, the maid grew even angrier. "How dare you! Do you even know who we are?"

"I don’t care who you are. All I need to know is that the President ordered us to throw you out!" the leading warrior said coldly.

"Bastards! All of you! I’ll kill you!"

The maid was about to lose it and make a move when a heavenly voice sounded: "Bella, calm down!"

"Yes, Your Highness!"

At that voice, Bella, who’d been about to go berserk, suddenly calmed down.

"President Song, my maid is still young. Could you let it slide for my sake?" The Saintess’s clear, watery gaze fell on Ian.

Ian waved for the warriors to stand down and laughed. "Ha, so you can talk after all! I thought you were mute."

The Saintess wasn’t the least bit angry at Ian’s provocation. She replied calmly, "President Song, you’re joking. I’m here on important business and would like a quiet place to discuss it with you."

"Now that’s more like it. Unlike some maids who think they’re above everyone else!" As he spoke, Ian deliberately glanced at Bella.

"You...!" Bella’s anger flared again, but as soon as the Saintess looked at her, she had to back down.

"Let’s talk in my office."

Ian turned and walked off, leaving Bella grinding her teeth in frustration. "Saintess, this Ian Song is so rude! He really deserves a lesson!"

"Enough!"

The Saintess gently scolded her, then walked gracefully after Ian.

Chastised, Bella stomped her foot and glared at Ian’s back before following along.

Inside the office.

Ian sat in the boss’s chair, looking at the Saintess across from him. "So, to what do I owe the honor of your visit, Saintess?"

The Saintess spoke slowly, "President Song, how do you view the current situation in the world?"

Ian was taken aback, then laughed. "No wonder you’re the Saintess—your first question is on such a high level of pretentiousness."
