All night long, Shawn Young and Helen were utterly entwined, their passion electric—especially after Helen tasted the wonders of dual cultivation. With her special forces background, Helen's stamina and endurance were top-notch, so she matched Shawn blow for blow. The two battled until the early hours, not even sure how many 'rounds' they'd had, finally collapsing in each other's arms, completely satisfied.
Beep—beep—beep— In a daze, the phone on the bedside table rang. After a night of dual cultivation and absorbing Helen's pure Yin energy, Shawn Young was fully refreshed. Hearing the ringtone, he woke up first, with Helen startled awake right after—her phone was ringing. Shawn handed it to her, and Helen answered with a tap, her brows furrowing and her expression turning serious.
"Uh—what's wrong?" Shawn asked quickly when he saw her expression.
Helen said, "The signal cut out. Minnie just told me that she and Maggie ran into trouble, and then the signal died!"
"Huh? Where did Minnie and Maggie go? How did they get into trouble?" Shawn was startled, realizing he'd been so caught up with Helen all night that he forgot to ask where Minnie Wang and Maggie Chang had gone.
Helen explained, "Here's the deal—this is the new villa Minnie bought. You’ve been out cold for a whole day and night. Yesterday afternoon, Miss Maggie suddenly got a notice from her hometown’s city government—her family’s old house was being taken over by a real estate developer, and she had to go sign papers for compensation, or she'd miss out. Since it was all so sudden and Maggie doesn’t have any relatives here in Nanming, Minnie volunteered to drive her there, leaving me to take care of you."
"Oh—I see. So what’s this trouble they ran into?" Shawn asked.
Helen frowned and said, "Uh—Minnie only said they ran into trouble at the city housing bureau while picking up the compensation money, but she didn’t get a chance to explain before the signal cut out—"
"Try calling her again—see if you can get through," Shawn urged.
"Mm—" Helen nodded and tried calling Minnie Wang again, but the call wouldn’t go through. Undeterred, she dialed Maggie Chang’s number, but that was also unreachable. She tried several times, but both numbers were dead.
"Crap—their phones aren’t working. Did something really happen? Could they have run into bad guys?! But in broad daylight, public safety in China isn’t that bad, right?" Helen said, startled, since she didn’t know much about China’s situation.
Shawn Young thought otherwise. He knew that in China, with so many people, you never know what might happen. Besides, the social climate wasn’t great in some places. With Minnie Wang and Maggie Chang—two stunning beauties—out handling business, if they ran into local thugs or some bold troublemakers, they could easily get into real trouble!
"By the way, where’s Maggie Chang’s hometown?" Shawn asked Helen quickly.
"Oh—her family said it’s in an old neighborhood in Westwood City, about fifty kilometers from Nanming. I checked on GPS before—Westwood City is just a small prefecture-level city." Helen was an expert at this kind of thing.
"Alright—let’s head to Westwood City now! I bet they’re in real trouble—and with just two girls in a small place like that, it’s easy for them to get bullied!" Shawn said, quickly scrambling out of bed to get dressed.
"Uh—hopefully it’s not as bad as you think!" Helen also got up and dressed quickly, but tried to reassure Shawn.
"Yeah—let’s hope so. But since we can’t reach either of them, we have to prepare for the worst. Let’s go! Helen, you know the way to Westwood City, right?" Shawn asked.
Helen finished getting dressed and nodded, "I know—let me drive! Westwood City is a small place; finding Maggie’s old home won’t be hard!"
As they talked, the two hurried downstairs. Helen pulled a silver Lamborghini convertible out of the villa’s garage. As soon as Shawn got in, she floored it—the car shot out of the villa, sped onto the highway, and raced toward Westwood City, fifty kilometers away!
Helen’s driving skills were way better than Shawn’s. She kept the speed close to fifty kilometers per hour and got them into Westwood City in just over an hour. It was lunchtime rush hour, so traffic slowed as they hit the main roads. The flashy silver Lamborghini convertible drew tons of attention—especially since the driver was a gorgeous, blonde, blue-eyed Western beauty in a sexy outfit. Passersby couldn’t help but stare at Helen, and plenty of guys shot Shawn jealous looks. Soon, a crowd gathered around the car, blocking their way, and some bored folks even whipped out their phones to snap pics of Helen, treating Shawn like he was invisible!
"Uh—damn—these guys are unbelievable—Helen, better close the top!" Shawn grumbled, noticing all the wolfish stares aimed at Helen’s stunning looks and body.
"Hehe—these people are so bored!" Helen laughed, clearly enjoying Shawn’s jealousy. She followed his advice and closed the top of the silver Lamborghini. With nothing left to see, the crowd finally dispersed.
Once the crowd cleared, Helen checked the satellite map and drove toward Eastwind Old Street, where Maggie Chang’s family home was located.
