The Snowmen, each towering several stories high, were made entirely of snow. Even when Evan Yang stabbed them with his dagger, there was no reaction at all. No matter how much force he used, he simply couldn't harm these Snowmen.
Lana Situ struggled to stay aloft while carrying Minnie Dale, since she didn't have the Soaring Sky Dance Steps or Phantom Step Art. Her speed and strength couldn't compare to Evan Yang at all.
"Give me the child," Evan Yang said to Lana Situ, seeing how disadvantaged she was.
"It's fine, I can manage. But you—find a way to get rid of them. If this drags on, it'll be bad for all of us." Lana Situ shook her head. She knew only Evan Yang had the ability to fight the six Snowmen ahead. If they wanted to leave safely, he needed to go all out.
Seeing Lana Situ's determined expression and tone, Evan Yang nodded, "Alright, then be careful. If you can, fly higher."
Lana Situ nodded. Right now, her only option was to use altitude to avoid the snowballs' attacks.
But those snowballs seemed turbocharged—whenever Lana Situ flew higher, the snowballs shot even higher and faster. Even trying to leave the area was difficult for her.
"I don't believe this!" Lana Situ snorted, continuing to fly—only to hit something above her, unable to ascend.
"What—!" Lana Situ exclaimed in shock.
Below, Evan Yang split his divine sense to keep watch on Lana Situ. When he sensed she was blocked by something invisible, he quickly activated Heaven's Eye and saw that the air around them was filled with formation restrictions, preventing Lana from rising.
A huge footprint appeared where Evan Yang had just been, and it was deep.
"If this keeps up, Lana Situ and Minnie Dale will be in danger sooner or later." Seeing the Snowmen stomping at him while still attacking the air, Evan Yang was worried.
So while dodging, Evan Yang tried to think of a solution. When he noticed the fire on the snowballs, he muttered, "Let’s see if fire works!"
He released flames from his body, which lunged at the Snowmen like hungry wolves.
The instant the flames touched the Snowmen, there was a sizzling sound, then the fire vanished, leaving the Snowmen unharmed.
"No way—even fire doesn’t work!" Evan Yang was shocked when his Ninefold Pure Fire had no effect.
"Damn it, I have to destroy you!" Evan Yang refused to give up and tried fire several more times, but nothing worked. In the end, he reluctantly turned to the Sacred Fire.
"Come out and help!" Evan Yang said, frustrated.
Sacred Fire and Ice Fire were both special flames. Right now, Evan Yang could only try these to see if they could destroy the Snowmen.
But Sacred Fire and Ice Fire refused to obey him. No matter how many times he called, nothing happened. Finally, he tried channeling the Heaven-Cold Seed to see if it could control the flames.
The Heaven-Cold Seed was inside Evan Yang’s body. Following his thoughts, he tried to move it, and the two flames followed. As he moved, Evan Yang tried to communicate with the flames.
The two flames seemed to respond, rushing out of Evan Yang’s body and appearing before him.
Then the two balls of fire raced to attack the Snowmen, as if competing for credit. Evan Yang was shocked by their power.
When Sacred Fire touched a Snowman, it melted, like snow meeting fire. When Ice Fire touched a Snowman, it froze, stopping it from moving.
The six Snowmen, who hadn’t cared about the humans below, now showed terrified expressions as the two flames appeared.
The six Snowmen stomped wildly in the snow, but there were no screams—only their actions looked comical.
Lana Situ, hovering in the air, was stunned. She had no idea how Evan Yang made the Snowmen so agitated, jumping wildly in the snow.
Minnie Dale, in Lana Situ’s arms, laughed, "They’re dancing."
Evan Yang, still below, was extremely frustrated. Every time he dodged one foot, another came down, forcing him to keep evading.
Meanwhile, the two flames kept attacking the Snowmen relentlessly.
In the end, the Snowmen fled, leaving the area, while the flames stopped and spun around Evan Yang, as if asking for praise.
Seeing how human-like the two flames were, Evan Yang laughed, "You two are amazing."
Feeling Evan Yang's praise, the two flames spun even faster with excitement.
"Alright, go back now." Seeing the flames wouldn't stop, Evan Yang smiled at them.
The two flames then dove back into Evan Yang's body.
Now that the flames listened to him, Evan Yang felt an indescribable satisfaction. At that moment, Lana Situ landed and asked, "Those flames just now—what were they?"
"Them? They're my friends," Evan Yang smiled.
"Big Brother, let me see!" Minnie Dale asked curiously.
"No way, they're dangerous. If you got hurt, that'd be trouble." Evan Yang knew the flames weren't as simple as they looked; he wasn't sure what effect they'd have on others, but judging by the Snowmen's reaction, their power was immense.

"Then I won’t look." Hearing they were dangerous, Minnie Dale obediently replied.
Evan Yang nodded, then said to Lana Situ, "Let’s go. The Snowmen should be gone now."
Lana Situ looked around, made sure there were no Snowmen, and continued carrying Minnie Dale deeper into the Death Snowfield.
Death Snowfield—was it called 'Death' because of the Snowmen? Both Evan Yang and Lana Situ were curious about the Snowmen; they were truly a powerful species. If Evan Yang hadn’t had those two flames, he would’ve been bullied for sure. He also wondered how their snowballs broke through his formation.
With curiosity, the two headed step by step toward the Snow Lake.
Snow Lake lay at the deepest part of the Death Snowfield. Neither of them knew why there was a lake here, but they were sure it wasn’t ordinary, so they were extra cautious, ready to retreat at any moment.
Minnie Dale, on the other hand, was excited and thrilled, as if she was about to see Mad Wolf.
But Evan Yang and Lana Situ both frowned. Even after entering here, it was still deathly silent, making it impossible to guess what lay ahead.
The three of them walked through the Death Snowfield with different feelings, until a lake appeared in front of them. Minnie Dale cried out excitedly, "A lake—Snow Lake!"
"Yeah." Evan Yang and Lana Situ had of course already seen it, but the unusual quiet made them slow down as they moved deeper.
Minnie Dale was so excited she wanted to jump down, but Lana Situ held her tight and said, "Wait a moment."
As they walked, Evan Yang suddenly stopped and said to Lana Situ and Minnie Dale, "Wait here. I'll go check it out."
"Are you really going?" Lana Situ felt uneasy, sensing danger she couldn't quite understand.
Evan Yang nodded, then told Minnie Dale, "Be good and stay with Big Sister."
"Okay." Minnie Dale didn't know why Evan Yang wanted to go first, but obediently agreed.
Once Evan Yang had settled the two, he walked toward the lake. He wanted to see what dangers were here; even if there were risks, his speed gave him better odds.
The lake water looked ordinary, except the bottom was covered in ice and the surface was water. This strange sight made Evan Yang squat down curiously and reach out to touch the water.
He found the water odd—it felt warm.
"Weird, shouldn’t it be cold?" In a land of ice and snow, water should be cold. But this lake water was warm, which startled Evan Yang. He checked other parts of the lake and found all the water felt the same—warm.
"This is so strange." Evan Yang saw the lake was wide and long, like a natural pool.
Curious, Evan Yang grabbed a lump of snow from the shore and tossed it into the water. Sure enough, the snow melted instantly, releasing a wisp of white steam.
"Hmm." After confirming his suspicions, Evan Yang started to touch the bottom of the lake, wanting to see what was going on with the ice.
So Evan Yang reached out and touched the ice where the shore met the water.
He found the ice was actually hot. "No way, the ice is hot?" This discovery shocked Evan Yang.
Just then, Minnie Dale cried out not far behind him. Evan Yang quickly turned around and found Lana Situ and Minnie Dale had disappeared.
"Not good!" Evan Yang hadn’t expected Lana Situ and Minnie Dale to vanish. He rushed over and found footprints in the snow.
Originally, there were footprints of Lana Situ carrying Minnie Dale, but behind Lana Situ another set of prints appeared, and then another set on her left.
"Looks like it’s a master—no way someone could kidnap them without a fight." Seeing the footprints, Evan Yang pondered.
He composed himself and hurried to follow the left-side footprints.
Luckily, it had just happened, so the footprints weren’t covered by snow. Evan Yang used multiple threads of divine sense to track them, but the kidnapper moved so fast that Evan Yang couldn’t lock onto them—only a line of footprints remained.
