Killing an Ancient Immortal in a Single Move

As soon as those words left his mouth, everyone stared at the old man in shock—he had just openly denied Evan Frost's qualifications in front of so many people, refusing to give him even the slightest face. At the very least, this should've been put to a vote before any decision was made, but this was a direct slap in the face, leaving Lena Chu, Lynn Ling and the others seething with indignation.

Nolan Nangong’s expression changed slightly as well. If anyone in the Immortal Realm was most qualified to be supreme commander, Evan Frost was hands-down the best choice—he was calm, steady, and possessed terrifying strength.

But now that someone had directly denied him, that anger would surely be directed at Nolan too. He couldn’t help but worry for that late-stage Immortal Emperor, and glanced up at Evan Frost seated high above.

Evan Frost, however, showed no reaction at all. Truthfully, he had no interest in the title of commander—a meaningless position held no appeal. What he wanted was results: to either defeat the immortal beasts outright, or achieve true peaceful coexistence between immortals and beasts.

But if peaceful coexistence between immortal beasts and immortals was ever going to happen, he was probably the only one who could pull it off. In that case, the commander’s role would inevitably fall to him anyway, which left him a bit helpless—especially since someone was already looking down on him and provoking trouble.

“I’d actually like to hear who you think is more suited for the commander’s seat. If it’s just someone at late-stage Immortal Emperor, forget it. There are plenty of demigod-level powerhouses among the immortal beasts, so picking someone like that would be sending them straight to their death.” Evan Frost said lightly. His voice wasn’t loud, but it rang clear in every ear.

“If someone at late-stage Immortal Emperor isn’t qualified, are you saying a mere mid-stage Immortal Emperor can be commander? Frostbane Imperial Palace may look impressive, but to us, it’s nothing but an empty name—we’ve never recognized it. Don’t think being a palace lord makes you anything special.

In our eyes, you’re nothing at all. Yet you shamelessly demand that only someone who can kill demigod-level experts should be commander. I doubt there’s anyone like that in the entire Immortal Realm!” sneered another white-haired elder.

Evan Frost sensed this man was an ancient Immortal, his strength at the very peak of late-stage Immortal Emperor, but stuck at the final bottleneck—unable to ascend. In the Immortal Realm, that made him a powerhouse, but in Evan’s eyes, he was nothing more than an ant, someone he could kill in a single move.

The moment those words were spoken, the crowd’s anger erupted. After all, most people present belonged to Frostbane Imperial Palace, and every one of them was furious—anyone who dared insult their palace lord like this would never be forgiven.

“You old undying thing, what are you even? You think you have the right to bark here? Who knows how many years you’ve lived, and you still haven’t qualified to ascend to the God Realm—yet you dare question my father?

My father could crush you as easily as turning his hand. The only reason he hasn’t exploded today is out of respect for everyone here, but you actually think he’s a pushover?!” Lena Chu shouted angrily.

“You little brat, how dare you mock me like that? No matter whose daughter you are, you’ll die today. No one in the Immortal Realm has ever dared speak to me this way!” the white-haired elder roared.

A flash of anger crossed Evan Frost’s face as he immediately retorted, “You’re way out of line. This is Frostbane Imperial Palace, and you dare ignore my presence and threaten my beloved daughter? Do you really think Frostbane Imperial Palace is empty? Killing you would take only a single move—don’t force my hand.”

“Hahaha, what a big mouth you have! So the lord of Frostbane Imperial Palace is just a toad who dares to spout childish nonsense in front of Immortal Realm experts. No one in this realm can kill me.

Frostbane Imperial Palace? Trash like you isn’t fit to be its palace lord—you’re simply overestimating yourself. If you dare disrespect me again, I won’t hesitate to wipe out your entire palace. Frostbane Imperial Palace means nothing to the Immortal-Beast War; even if I destroy it, it won’t affect anything.” The elder glared down at Evan Frost, his attitude utterly arrogant.

“Old man, you’ve really gone too far. Do you truly think Frostbane Imperial Palace is empty? If you want to touch my husband, you’ll have to get past me first. Today you’ve insulted both our palace and my husband, so you owe us an explanation—and the best explanation is your death.” Lynn Ling declared.

The white-haired elder glanced at Lynn Ling and sneered, “So you’re an idiot too—a flower planted in cow dung. You actually chose a loser like him? Is your heart so restless after years of cultivation that you need a man to vent with? You should’ve picked me instead; I’m strong, and my technique is unmatched. Truly foolish.”

The moment he finished, Lynn Ling’s face turned iron-green, killing intent erupting from her as she prepared to attack him—only for Evan Frost to grab her and hold her back.

“Old bastard, looks like you came here just to stir up trouble. Insulting my woman like that is something I can’t tolerate, no matter how much patience I have. Go die!” Evan Frost snarled.

As soon as Evan Frost finished speaking, blue and red beams shot from his eyes, blasting straight into the elder’s chest and flinging him out of the main hall. Everyone inside was stunned.

First, they were shocked that the lord of Frostbane Imperial Palace actually dared to attack an ancient Immortal; second, they were stunned that the attack came directly from his eyes. When those beams appeared, everyone felt suffocated—the power was absolutely unheard of.

“Alright, let’s continue discussing the Immortal-Beast War. If anyone else dares to disrespect me, they’ll end up the same way. An ancient Immortal means nothing to me—I’ve already slain demigod-level experts in Godfall Valley, so killing Immortal Emperors is even easier.” Evan Frost said coolly.

A few people rushed out of the hall to check on the white-haired elder’s condition. When they saw him, they found he was already dead—his chest pierced with two bowl-sized holes, his Immortal Infant destroyed, and his eyes wide open, unable to rest in death.

He’d never imagined he could be killed so easily, with just a single move. It was something he’d never even dreamed of, but now he’d never dream again.

The witnesses were so stunned they couldn’t speak. What kind of strength did it take to do something like this? They were completely dumbfounded, finally realizing just how terrifying Evan Frost’s power was—he was practically invincible.

When those people came back into the hall, their faces were full of fear. Evan Frost glanced at them and smiled faintly, “Surprised the old man’s already dead? Anyone who dares trample on Frostbane Imperial Palace or insult my women will meet the same fate.

If you thought I was joking, let me make it clear—I only need one move to kill you. So watch your mouths. I’m young, and my temper’s hot.”
