Evan Chu himself never imagined he would end up with Rainbow Court Mistress Rainveil in this abandoned mine tunnel, experiencing such a moment. The long-lost feeling resurfaced in both their hearts, and everything passed in a wave of joy...
No one knew how much time had passed before the sounds in the mine tunnel finally faded away. Both of them felt an unprecedented sense of fulfillment. Evan gently hugged Rainveil and said, "Elena, you don't blame me for being so forward with you, do you?"
"Silly, I'm your woman—how could I blame you? I never expected you to be so vigorous; it makes me really happy. I wish I could be with you every day, though I know that's impossible right now. But I believe one day this wish will come true." Rainveil answered softly.
After being nourished by Evan's love, Rainveil looked even more beautiful and enchanting. She nestled against Evan's chest like a gentle bird, savoring this rare moment of warmth.
After a while, Evan finally spoke: "Elena, it's time to head back. Remember what I've asked you to do—I hope that when I come out of seclusion, I'll see that they've all made it through safely."
"Don't worry, Linfeng, I won't let you down. You should take care of yourself too—cultivation is a gradual process, don't rush it. I'll be waiting for you at Rainbow Court." Rainveil replied.
With that, Rainveil left the mine tunnel. Before leaving, she set up a powerful barrier at the entrance—a one-way formation that can only be exited from inside and only forcibly entered by a God-Venerable-level powerhouse.
Evan didn’t waste any time either. With a thought, he sank directly into the earth—this time, he didn’t go too deep, stopping at about fifty meters, then entered the Timewheel Bracelet.
At this moment, the Timewheel Bracelet was filled with abundant Divine Power, showing that the God Crystal’s artifact spirit had fully matured. As soon as Evan entered, he heard the spirit’s voice in his mind: "Big brother, you’re finally here! Are you satisfied with my work?"
The artifact spirit’s words carried a hint of wanting praise. Evan laughed, "Satisfied—very satisfied! I’m planning to go into seclusion here for a while. Maybe one day I’ll be able to take you out so you can walk the outside world like a real person."
"I've been waiting for you to say that, big brother. I'll keep working hard to produce more Divine Power," the artifact spirit replied with a laugh.
Evan didn’t say anything more. His figure flashed as he flew over the world inside the Timewheel Bracelet. Now, the bracelet was its own beautiful realm, filled with exotic flowers and rare herbs everywhere. The only thing missing was birds and beasts—Evan planned to bring some in after things settled, turning it into a true paradise.
The Fire Dragon and the others were nowhere to be seen, likely off cultivating. The Black Qilin was absent too, which left Evan a little disappointed. He found a cave and began his seclusion directly.
Right now, Evan’s priority was to absorb the elemental crystals he’d won at the auction, to upgrade the Ninefold Stellar Transformation. The one he most wanted to break through was Earthshift—once his strength rose, he could finally check on the mine core.
Everything proceeded in an orderly fashion. Deep within the mine’s earth, there was only a pitch-black bracelet, utterly devoid of energy fluctuations. Even if Rainveil returned now, she would have no way of knowing Evan’s exact location.
After Rainveil returned to Rainbow Court, Blue-Shade God-Venerable came to find her. "Rainveil, where have you been these past two days? Has Linfeng gone into seclusion? I haven’t seen him at all."
"That's right, he's in seclusion. I spent the past two days searching for something that might help him, but came back empty-handed. Judging by your look, you’re about to leave Rainbow Court, aren’t you?" Rainveil answered vaguely.
"That kid goes into seclusion without even telling me. By the way, what were you searching for? Maybe I can help!" Blue-Shade said.
"You won’t be able to help. He needs a stalk of Soul-Severing Grass. I went to Medicine-God Valley but found nothing. If you hear any news about Soul-Severing Grass, let me know. Because of Linfeng, Rainbow Court has offended quite a few people—I’ll need to tighten our defenses." Rainveil said.
"Exactly. Right now, Skysoar Sect, Drifting Cloud Guild, and Heavenblade Sect all hate Linfeng—they’d love nothing more than to kill him. And since Linfeng is still Rainbow Court’s son-in-law, if anything happens, they’ll probably target Rainbow Court too." Blue-Shade God-Venerable said.
"I'm not too worried about that. Rainbow Court has stood firm in the God Realm for so many years—it's not something just anyone can shake. Worst case, I'll activate the sect-protecting grand formation and stay inside for ten thousand years if I have to." Rainveil said.
"That’s only the worst-case scenario. But don’t worry—the Shadow Divine Palace will have your back. For now, since things are quiet, I’ll keep wandering the realm. When Linfeng comes out of seclusion, we’ll share a drink together." Blue-Shade God-Venerable laughed.
"Blue-Shade, there’s something I need you to pay attention to. Actually, it’s about Linfeng—before he ascended to the God Realm, he had quite a few women, including the Qilin Princess. According to him, they might ascend one after another, so if you find them, bring them to Rainbow Court." Rainveil said.
"Really? Looks like Linfeng’s personality has changed since the old days. So who are these people—did he ever mention them?" Blue-Shade asked.
"He mentioned a few: Jade, Lynn Roxanne—Roxanne has Phoenix Clan blood—and Selena, who’s from the Demonic Realm but now refines Immortal Essence after absorbing Soul Mushroom energy. There’s also Lynn Ling, Lillian Zhang, and Ruolan, among others. And finally, there are two divine beasts."
These two divine beasts aren’t ordinary—the first is the Bloodshadow Wild Lion, said to be able to evolve into a Chaos Beast; the second is the Golden Demon Vulture, which has already evolved into the Goldenwing Roc. Both have soul contracts with Linfeng, so if they show up in the God Realm, they shouldn’t be hard to find." Rainveil explained.
"Everyone around that kid has a serious background! Don’t worry, I’ll keep this in mind. Since I’m always roaming the God Realm, maybe I’ll run into a few of them—if I do, I’ll definitely bring them to Rainbow Court." Blue-Shade promised.
With that, Blue-Shade God-Venerable left. Rainveil headed to Zoe Rainveil’s room—now that she and Evan had truly become a couple, she needed to let go of her daughter’s old hopes.
"Qin’er, what are you thinking about so deeply?" Rainveil asked.
Zoe snapped out of her trance and, seeing Rainveil in her room, said, "Mother, you’re here. I wasn’t thinking about anything—just a little tired and spaced out for a moment."
"You still can’t let him go? You know his identity, Qin’er—don’t be so stubborn, alright?" Rainveil walked over to Zoe and spoke gently.
"Mother, I’ve let go a long time ago. Honestly, I’d love to call him ‘father’ in person, but I just don’t know how to say it. Besides, I’ve discovered a shocking secret about him." Zoe said.
"A shocking secret? What secret?" Rainveil asked…
