The Grand Way's laws spun madly. In just a short time, Joe Di realized that his body had been invaded by an unknown, deadly toxin. Not only did this venomous law corrode his flesh and bones, it also ate away at his soul-sea—and even his Dao itself.
Joe Di was never one to fear poison. Back then, he had studied the Law of Venom under the strongest poison user in the Five Elements Universe—the Poison Sovereign. Not only that, the Poison Sovereign had even personally discussed the Dao of Poison with him.
What chilled Joe Di to the bone was that his understanding of the Law of Venom was completely useless against the poison ravaging his body. He was certain that his grasp of the Law of Venom was at least equal to the Poison Sovereign’s. If he couldn’t resolve the poison within himself now, it meant that not even the Poison Sovereign could save him.
If even the Poison Sovereign couldn’t save him, then perhaps no one in the universe could.
If he wanted to survive, he had to calm down and rely on his own abilities.
At this moment, Joe Di completely ignored the corrosion of his flesh and bones, and didn’t even bother with the erosion of his soul-sea. He knew very well that even if he tried to deal with it now, without a solution, all he could do was buy himself a little more time.
The cosmic laws continued to circulate. At this point, Joe Di let his own Dao resonance seep into this completely unfathomable Law of Venom.
Time ticked by. Joe Di’s clothes had long since been corroded away; his entire body was covered in a blackened sheen, the aftermath of relentless venom.
Yet Joe Di kept his eyes closed, fully immersed in this unknown Law of Venom. Just as his arms and legs were about to be completely corroded, his eyes suddenly snapped open.
His Grand Way’s laws finally infiltrated this utterly alien Law of Venom. He began to shape his understanding of the vast universe’s venomous Dao into a new law, forcing it into this unfamiliar venomous principle.
Starting from his own understanding of the Law of Venom, Joe Di slowly peeled away the layers of this unfamiliar venomous law. It was like stripping the old skin from an onion; once the aged layers were removed, the tender core emerged within the Grand Way of his own law.
With half of his hands already corroded, Joe Di unleashed endless Dao resonance. Waves of vast, majestic energy spread out around him.
The black mist shrouding Joe Di began to thin, and his corroded flesh visibly started to heal and restore itself.
Joe Di was overwhelmed with emotion. He was grateful to the Poison Sovereign—if not for the foundation he’d gained in the Law of Venom, he would never have been able to strip away this terrifying venomous law today. This Law of Venom was clearly above the laws of this universe; it must have been forged from a higher realm.
Likewise, Joe Di was thankful to Sean Chen. If Sean hadn’t joined forces with him to strip away the Grand Way principle from Chi Yao’s body, he would never have been able to separate out this Law of Venom that so clearly surpassed the laws of this universe.
......
While Joe Di was stripping away the Law of Venom, Chi Yao once again arrived at the dried-up lakeshore. He knew that even if he hadn’t caught up to Joe Di, Joe Di was doomed.
Chi Yao was well aware that the black mist surrounding the Cosmic Dao Vein was the Venom of Delusion. Even if he himself were poisoned by it, death would be the only outcome. Even if he survived, his Dao foundation would be utterly destroyed.
Joe Di’s death was a good thing for him, since his own Grand Way principle had been broken by Joe Di, putting him in great danger.
What annoyed him, though, was that Joe Di had destroyed the Cosmic Dao Vein before leaving. For Chi Yao, a complete Cosmic Dao Vein, once severed, lost much of its value—because it no longer possessed the full, vast laws.
There was one more regret: Joe Di’s Lawstride technique was truly terrifying. If Chi Yao could obtain it, it would be of immense benefit to him.
The Venom of Delusion was deadly to others, nearly impossible to separate. But for Chi Yao, it wasn’t so difficult. He spent just three days setting up a grand formation; once activated, the Venom of Delusion was drawn away, leaving the dried-up lake completely unobstructed and open to his divine sense.
When Chi Yao finally saw the Cosmic Dao Vein in the center of the lake, he cried out in shock, "Extreme Vein?"
Beyond the Prime Cosmic Dao Vein, there exists another kind of Dao Vein—the Cosmic Extreme Vein. It isn’t simply a prime Dao Vein; the Extreme Vein is the rarest and most supreme in the cosmos, containing all cosmic laws and the essence beyond creation.
But Cosmic Extreme Veins are exceedingly rare. According to Chi Yao’s estimation, there are no more than three in the entire cosmos. How vast is the cosmos? To have only three Extreme Veins scattered within it is almost as if there are none at all. Moreover, each Extreme Vein is deeply hidden—just like the one before him, concealed in a dried-up lake and covered by the Venom of Delusion. Such a situation is truly unique.
Most Cosmic Extreme Veins are hidden between the void realms of the universe.
Realizing that this was a Cosmic Extreme Vein, Chi Yao felt a pang of regret. If he’d known earlier, he would have burned his Grand Way itself just to catch up with Joe Di.
A complete Cosmic Extreme Vein could allow him to perfect his Grand Way entirely. Even without Serena Green, after stepping into the Fourth Step, he would have no flaws at all—he would truly reach the Fourth Step. With the Extreme Vein, he even suspected he could achieve the Fourth Step in its entirety and compete for the Sacred Seat. At that point, who would dare challenge Chi Yao for the title of Master of the Vast Cosmos?
No—he had to obtain this Cosmic Extreme Vein. Chi Yao was determined: once he extracted this half-broken Extreme Vein from the void, he would immediately set out to find Joe Di, no matter the cost.
......
Joe Di let out a long, triumphant howl and stood up feeling refreshed and invigorated.
He had completely resolved the poison, transforming it into a new law within his cosmic world. He wondered if Henry Vaughn feared this toxin—if so, next time, he could emulate the Poison Sovereign and use it to teach Chi Yao a lesson.
The poison was gone, and he now controlled a Law of Venom that surpassed this universe. Joe Di couldn’t help but feel elated.
It was just as the old saying goes: a blessing in disguise. Surviving a great disaster brings fortune.

With the poison gone, Joe Di no longer hesitated and stepped into his own cosmic world. Within it were countless treasures—including the World Tree. That was why he hadn’t dared enter his world while poisoned; if he couldn’t control the toxin, bringing it inside would have reduced his cosmic world to ashes.
Entering his cosmic world, Joe Di stepped right up to the thousands-of-feet-long Obsidian Dao Vein.
How powerful must a Cosmic Dao Vein be to be wrapped in such a terrifying poison? Joe Di was eager to find out.
He’d seized this Obsidian Dao Vein in haste before and hadn’t had time to inspect it closely. Now, standing beside it again, he felt every pore of his body relax. His Grand Way was clear and distinct—without the slightest haze. This Dao Vein seemed to contain an aura beyond all things.
Not only that—even the distant World Tree had grown nearly a full yard taller in just this short time, and was still shooting upward.
Joe Di closed his eyes, placed his hands on the Obsidian Dao Vein, and circulated his Grand Way for a full cycle. As the Law of the Grand Way flowed, it automatically connected with the Dao Vein. In that moment, it was as if he absorbed endless celestial nectar—his divine essence grew ever more refined, his spiritual sea expanded, and his divine sense surged.
The laws of everything around him were automatically imprinted into his Dao resonance. As he continued to circulate the Grand Way, these imprints grew deeper and extended farther.
Opening his eyes, Joe Di gripped the half-broken Obsidian Dao Vein, overcome with excitement. He was certain he’d found a treasure—this was no ordinary Cosmic Dao Vein.
With this Dao Vein, even if his cultivation remained at the Creation Realm, his strength would grow day by day.
No—he had to hurry to the canyon and claim the Dao Vein Miles Gray discovered. That Dao Vein might be just as powerful as the one he’d found—after all, it was a whole vein, while this was only half.
If he was too late and Chi Yao found it first, the loss would be enormous.
Before, he’d looked down on Chi Yao, thinking Chi Yao only noticed the Dao Vein in the lake because of his own protective formation. Now, Joe Di realized Chi Yao had truly sensed the Dao Vein at the lake’s heart, not because of anything he’d done.
(That’s all for today’s update. Good night, friends!)
