Evan Chu’s Madness

1/19/2026

Evan Chu knew that breaking through to the Ninth-Heaven Arch-Immortal Realm in a short time was impossible—unless he entered the Timewheel Bracelet. But with Lotus Lian here, he absolutely refused to expose his true secret in front of her. This was his ultimate trump card, something he would never reveal to anyone except his most trusted companions.

As for the furious shouts from Xander Xuan and Hector Vaughn, Evan completely ignored them. He planned to stay in this room for a day or two, letting them wear themselves out waiting and scheming.

But soon, a voice made him lose his composure. It was a voice he knew all too well—Luna’s. Right now, she seemed to be arguing fiercely with Xander Xuan, and both sides were clearly furious.

"Luna, you’re being far too reckless. From today onward, I’m confining you until you marry Logan Vaughn. You won’t take a single step outside until then. Guards, take her back to Solarion Palace!" Hearing this, Evan immediately stood up.

"Lotus, let’s go out. I want to see what these two Palace Lords can do to me. In a moment, you’d better stay away from the crowd so you don’t get hurt for no reason. If I somehow survive this, I’ll take you with me." Evan said.

Right now, Evan absolutely couldn’t let Tom Chu or Jade Chu help him—none of them could possibly withstand the strength of an Immortal Emperor. And he couldn’t reveal his Golden Body avatars here either. To expose them, he’d need to be strong enough to kill an Immortal Emperor outright. The Ninefold Golden Body Art was a heaven-defying secret that would drive anyone insane—including the Dominion Lord of Martial Spirit Dominion and Fairy Lynn.

After stepping out of the room, Evan slowly walked out of the auction hall. By now, the area outside was packed with people, but a huge space had been cleared in the center.

Everyone wanted to see who the owner of VIP Room 16 really was. Countless eyes stared straight at the auction hall’s entrance, waiting anxiously. At last, Evan Chu appeared before the crowd.

For a moment, everyone was stunned—the mysterious owner of Room 16 turned out to be a handsome young man. Countless question marks echoed in their minds; this was nothing like what they’d imagined.

A stranger, a youth who didn’t belong to any clan or faction—how could he possibly have so many Immortal Stones? Who was he? Why would he step out, knowing the danger?

Over a dozen people stood in the open space—all from the Six Imperial Palaces. Blazefire Immortal Lord and Roxanne, Serena, and Macy weren’t here, but Evan spotted them hidden among the crowd. That was the smartest move, keeping him from being distracted or threatened—otherwise, they could easily become hostages.

Everyone was sizing Evan up, and Evan was also scanning the Six Imperial Palaces’ people. The aura they gave off made it clear they were extremely dangerous, but Evan wasn’t afraid at all.

Because he saw Luna, her face streaked with tears. Ignoring everyone’s stares, Evan walked straight toward her. Right now, Luna was immobilized, held by two Immortal Lords.

Evan said, "Let her go. She’s not someone you people can touch—she’s my woman!"

To say something so wild in front of the Immortal Realm’s top experts took real guts. It wasn’t stupidity—Evan genuinely didn’t care about his own life when it came to protecting his woman. Besides, no one could easily take his life.

There were plenty of ways to escape—he could Earthshift straight into the subterranean magma, where almost no one could follow. Or he could retreat into the Timewheel Bracelet, which was basically unbreakable. And with the Immortal-Extinguishing Talisman in hand, he truly had nothing to fear. This wasn’t recklessness; it was calculation.

Evan’s words instantly changed the expressions of Xander Xuan and Hector Vaughn. "Boy, you’re at death’s door and still dare to defile my daughter’s name? If I don’t kill you, how can I ever rid myself of this hatred?"

"Xander, let me be the one to kill this brat. How dare he claim my daughter-in-law as his woman? He clearly doesn’t respect Skyshade Hall at all. And at the auction, he dared to compete with me for a treasure—if I don’t kill him, I’ll never sleep well again," Hector Vaughn said.

Evan’s voice turned cold: "Let her go. I want you to let her go!" In his hand, the Heaven-Destroying Talisman appeared, its golden paper glowing brilliantly, stunning everyone present.

The Heaven-Destroying Talisman’s power was terrifying. If Evan activated it, everything within a hundred-li radius would be flattened. Even most of the bystanders would be killed by its force. Instantly, panic swept through the crowd.

The two Immortal Lords restraining Luna started to falter, especially when they saw the fury in Evan’s eyes—rage that looked like it could burn everything. Instinctively, they released her.

Freed, Luna threw herself into Evan’s arms, not caring what anyone thought. She didn’t even consider whether Solarion Palace and Skyshade Hall might turn on each other and start a war because of her impulsiveness.

"Moonie, you’ve suffered!" Evan said simply.

To Luna, those words meant more than a thousand others. All her years of longing and grievance healed in that instant. "I’m not suffering. Just seeing you again is enough for me. Evan, you really didn’t let me down. But right now, what I want most is for you to get out of here alive."

"Alive and safe? You’re dreaming!" Xander Xuan’s voice rang out. In a flash, he yanked Luna away from Evan’s embrace.

Right there in front of everyone, he slapped Luna hard across her stunningly beautiful face, leaving a glaring handprint. Blood trickled from her lips as she was sent flying several meters.

Seeing Luna struck, Evan’s rage erupted. "You old bastard, how dare you hit her? Today, you die!"

He raised the Immortal-Extinguishing Talisman high, pouring powerful Chaos Immortal Force into it. Instantly, the talisman radiated a terrifying aura of death, sending waves of panic through the crowd.

Everyone thought Evan was insane—he was about to use the talisman he’d just acquired, a supreme artifact capable of slaughtering countless people in an instant. In the face of death, the City Lord’s rules meant nothing; people scrambled to escape, flying into the sky.

Even Xander Xuan and Hector Vaughn felt true fear. They hadn’t expected Evan to be so reckless. "Don’t do anything rash…" Xander Xuan blurted out, panic in his voice.
