Everyone knew this mission was dangerous. If Evan Yang died inside, they’d be the ones held responsible—and that was their tragedy. So, helplessly, they chose to go in.
Evan Yang was relaxing inside when he saw several people enter and laughed. "Hey, aren’t you afraid of dying?"
“Of course I’m scared, but we have to drag you out!” one man snorted. The others surrounded Evan Yang. Here, Evan wasn’t restricted, but they hated the Colorless Flame—just being here made them feel awful, and their power was suppressed.
Taking advantage of the environment, Evan Yang combined his own flames to intensify the heat, forcing some to retreat while others stubbornly endured. The ones who tried to tough it out soon collapsed in the Colorless Flame, only to be sealed by Evan.
Those sealed were left in the flames, terrified but powerless—today, they were doomed to die here. Outside, the survivors exchanged anxious glances.
One finally said, “This isn’t working—they’ll die if this keeps up.”
“But there’s nothing we can do. Would you dare go in? That brat is so infuriating!” another said angrily. The rest were just as frustrated—though they were stronger than Evan Yang, he’d forced them to stay outside.
The others fell silent. Inside, Evan Yang kept shouting, “Come on, try again! What’s wrong—scared now?”
“Contact Special Envoy Caleb Xiao—tell him we want to withdraw,” one said angrily. Another tried but got no response, frowning: “No news.”
“Damn it, this is ridiculous. Let’s just stand guard here—I don’t believe he’ll really stay inside until he dies,” the leader said. But the others were worried—if anything happened to Evan Yang, they’d be in serious trouble.
The leader saw their expressions and snapped, “How did we end up with a mission like this? It’s infuriating!”
Meanwhile, Evan Yang was inside, enjoying the flames. His Sacred Flame grew much stronger, and he noticed its seal had finally unlocked. Now, two attributes were fully unsealed: lightning and Sacred Flame—giving him a huge advantage.
Evan Yang suddenly roared, spewing powerful flames from his mouth. The others outside were caught off guard and injured by the unexpected blast, forcing them to retreat.
“Damn it, what’s gotten into that brat?” the leader said angrily.
“He’s really driving me crazy,” another said. Evan Yang closed his mouth, feeling comfortable—the outburst was because his Sacred Flame had built up to the limit and needed release.
That roar made Evan Yang realize just how powerful his unsealed Sacred Flame was. He smiled, “Interesting.”
“I can’t take it anymore—either I go in or I leave, I don’t care if he lives or dies,” one said angrily.
The leader replied, “Then go ahead.”
The man hesitated, then said, “Fine, I’ll go in. I don’t believe it!” He charged in, locking onto Evan Yang. Evan used the environment to tangle with him—the longer he stayed, the more he was suppressed, giving Evan a chance.
Evan Yang struck from behind, attacking those struggling against the Colorless Flame. One spat blood, but it evaporated in midair—showing just how deadly the flames were.
