Three Days and Three Nights of Battle

2/27/2026

Evan Yang had just entered the ranks of the lowest Immortal Sovereign, but his strength was now far greater than before. He soared above the Chaos Current, heading toward the Immortal Realm.

"Feels great," Evan said with satisfaction.

Soon, Evan returned to the Immortal Realm and went straight to the Wood Temple.

The moment he entered the Wood Temple, Evan saw the wooden-rod prison array before him—this was where Titus Skyflood and Nero Netherfiend were trapped.

"Titus Skyflood," Evan smiled as he walked up to the wooden-rod array.

Titus Skyflood, who had been helpless within the array, was startled at the words. "Evan Yang? Is that you?"

"That's right, I came back to see you. How are you holding up?" Evan said with a smile.

"You coward! If you have guts, let me out!" Titus Skyflood roared in anger.

"Soon. Elder Woodspirit will let you out in a bit, so we can have some real fun." Evan smiled.

"Are you really willing to let me out?" Titus Skyflood asked, not believing him.

"Real or not, you'll see soon enough," Evan said with a smile.

Titus Skyflood replied, "Fine. If you really let me out, I'll admit you've got guts."

"Just wait a bit. I'll go find Elder Woodspirit now," Evan said with a smile, then flashed away and quickly arrived at the wooden hut.

"You're back?" Elder Woodspirit greeted him with a smile.

"Yes, I've lived up to expectations and returned," Evan replied.

"Good, good. I didn't expect that in just three years you would undergo such a transformation. Not bad, not bad," Elder Woodspirit said with a smile.

"So, when do I head to the Otherworld?" Evan asked.

"I'll get things ready for you now. In about three days, you can set out," Elder Woodspirit replied.

"Three days? Alright. Before that, I'd like to test my strength. Elder Woodspirit, could you release Titus Skyflood so I can have a proper duel with him?" Evan asked.

"Oh? You want to fight Titus Skyflood?" Elder Woodspirit asked curiously.

"Yeah. Only by defeating him can I prove my strength has risen. That way, I'll feel safer entering the Otherworld," Evan said with a smile.

"That's true. Alright, I'll make the arrangements. Go wait at the wooden-rod array," Elder Woodspirit agreed with a smile.

Evan composed himself and went to the wooden-rod array, waiting for Elder Woodspirit's arrangements.

After a while, the wooden-rod array suddenly stirred. Evan saw two people inside, their eyes closed, until the array opened and they slowly opened their eyes.

"Titus Skyflood, you can come out and face me now, right?" Evan asked with a smile.

Titus Skyflood, who had been in darkness for so long, slowly opened his eyes and looked at Evan in surprise. "You've got guts. Alright, today I'll see why you're so confident."

"Come on, let's go to the void," Evan said, worried about damaging the Wood Temple. He invited Titus Skyflood up, and with a swish, Evan soared into the void. Titus followed, while Nero Netherfiend remained trapped by the rods, cursing inwardly, "Damn it, unlucky."

"Let's do this," Titus Skyflood said to Evan with a smile.

"You're not using the Divine Demon Saber?" Evan asked.

"No need," Titus Skyflood replied.

Evan smiled. "Since that's the case, let's settle this once and for all."

Titus Skyflood had waited for this day for who knows how long, hoping Evan wouldn't run and would finally battle him, so he could thoroughly crush him. But things rarely go as planned.

When their fists collided, Titus Skyflood realized that Evan had already become an Immortal Sovereign.

"You're already an Immortal Sovereign?" Titus Skyflood asked in disbelief.

"That's right. Now come on," Evan replied.

Titus Skyflood never expected Evan to progress so fast; in just a few years, he'd surpassed all expectations.

Seeing Titus Skyflood stunned, Evan smiled. "If you don't start soon, I'll keep attacking."

"Go ahead," Titus Skyflood replied.

The two clashed again and again in midair, their battle fierce and intense.

Neither gained the upper hand at first, but gradually Evan started to dominate. In the Immortal Realm, Evan's recovery was much faster than Titus Skyflood's, who had to convert Immortal Source into demonic qi to use his power.

Titus Skyflood struggled more and more, shocked at how terrifying Evan had become. In the end, he had no choice but to draw the Divine Demon Saber, using its power to force Evan to retreat. Evan was startled and quickly took out the Soul-Devouring Divine Sword.

"Soul-Devouring Divine Sword," Titus Skyflood said greedily.

"Before, I didn't dare clash head-on. Today, I want to see whether your Divine Demon Saber is stronger, or my Soul-Devouring Divine Sword," Evan said with a smile.

"Come on," Titus Skyflood snorted, then swung the Divine Demon Saber at Evan. Evan didn't back down, slashing with the Divine Sword, and the two powerful artifacts collided.

Sparks flew and thunder boomed as the two mighty weapons clashed.

"Titus Skyflood, give up. Here, your recovery is slow, so you started at a disadvantage. Plus, I can now unleash the Divine Sword's power better than before. Your Divine Demon Saber won't last much longer," Evan said with a smile.

Titus Skyflood could feel the Divine Demon Saber draining more and more of his strength with each clash against the Divine Sword. Still, he refused to give up. "Evan Yang, I'm a demon. Even you can't truly destroy me," he snorted.

"Is that so? Then tell me—since you know about the Soul-Devouring Divine Sword, do you know why it's called that?" Evan asked.

"Of course. It devours souls," Titus Skyflood snorted.

"If you know that, do you think I can't destroy your soul?" Evan said coldly.

Evan asked suspiciously, "Really?"

"Of course. That's why I'm not afraid to tell you—even if you can destroy me, you can't destroy my soul," Titus Skyflood snorted.

Evan ignored all that for now, focusing on destroying Titus's body first. The two fought for three days and nights. News of their battle spread across the Immortal Realm, and everyone was shocked when they heard Evan had pressed Titus so hard he could barely breathe.

The Alliance Leader of the Immortal Realm thought he was dreaming, but when he arrived to witness the battle, he was stunned.

"The Immortal Realm is blessed," the Alliance Leader thought in shock.

After three days and nights of battle, Titus Skyflood's demonic qi was almost exhausted. He struggled to hold on, while Evan used the Immortal Realm's advantage and the Heaven-Cold Seed to recover faster, cornering Titus until he couldn't escape. In the end, Titus lost an arm, left holding only the Divine Demon Saber.

"You... damn it," Titus Skyflood had never suffered such humiliation. At this moment, he wanted nothing more than to destroy Evan, but he was shocked at how terrifying Evan had become.

"Titus Skyflood, we've tangled for years. You nearly killed me several times. Today, watch how I destroy your body," Evan said, raising the Divine Sword and slashing down hard.

The Divine Demon Saber couldn't withstand it and was knocked aside. Titus, weakened, had his body destroyed in an instant, leaving only his soul. That soul was protected by a thin barrier, so the Divine Sword had no effect.

"I told you, my soul is indestructible. Even if you have the Divine Sword, so what?" Titus Skyflood knew the tide had turned. Though he was unwilling, he had to accept reality.

"In that case, let's see if this works on you," Evan said, taking out the Demon-Suppressing Tablet—the tablet that once suppressed Titus Skyflood.

The moment Titus saw the tablet, he exclaimed, "How did you bring that out too?"

"Otherwise, how could I suppress you today?" Evan said with a smile.

Evan swung the tablet at Titus's soul. Titus cried out, "No!" as his soul was crushed beneath the Demon-Suppressing Tablet and finally absorbed into it.

Now that Evan had become an Immortal Sovereign, he could freely use the Demon-Suppressing Tablet.

With everything settled, Evan turned to see many powerful Immortal Realm experts gathered around, staring at him in disbelief.

The Alliance Leader of the Immortal Realm walked over. "Evan Yang, thank you. You've rid the Immortal Realm of a scourge."

Evan wanted to say that Titus Skyflood was only a minor threat—the real danger was the Otherworld creatures. But he kept silent, only smiling. "Alliance Leader, you're too kind. I released him, so it was my responsibility to deal with him. Today, at least I've given the Immortal Realm an answer."

"No matter what, you won. Now you're one of the strongest in the Immortal Realm," the Alliance Leader said with a smile.

"Alliance Leader, I have to leave the Immortal Realm. Please take care of my friends and family in my absence," Evan said.

The Alliance Leader asked suspiciously, "You're so strong now—where else do you need to go?"

"There are things I need to deal with," Evan sighed.

Seeing Evan didn't want to explain, the Alliance Leader nodded. "Understood. Go ahead. We'll take care of the Yang family."

"Thanks," Evan said with a smile.

The Alliance Leader smiled. Today was his happiest day—now that Titus Skyflood was gone, the Devil Realm wouldn't dare to cause trouble again. He told everyone, "You may all leave now."

He smiled at Evan and left. Once everyone was gone, Evan returned to the Wood Temple. This battle had shifted the landscape far and wide.

Back at the Wood Temple, Evan sought out Elder Woodspirit.

"It's settled?" Elder Woodspirit asked with a smile.

"Yes, it's done," Evan replied.

"Not bad. You managed to defeat Titus Skyflood alone—your strength has improved greatly. I've prepared the place for you to enter the Otherworld Gate, and even delayed it a bit for you. Now you can get ready to set out," Elder Woodspirit said.

Evan nodded. "Alright."

Suddenly, a tunnel appeared before Evan. Following Elder Woodspirit's instructions, he entered the tunnel and soon arrived at a chaotic pile of enormous stones.

Evan looked around suspiciously, until Elder Woodspirit's voice sounded: "This is the Living Stone Pile leading to the Otherworld. Are you ready?"
