A Beanie with House Drake Aura
Beanie leaned sideways toward Grace, its two little sprout leaves reaching out to her as if begging for a comforting touch.
So Grace reached out and gently patted Beanie.
Cutie Pie saw this and bared its teeth at Beanie.
Beanie instantly curled up into a little ball.
Cutie Pie seemed to grin, then hopped right into Grace’s arms.
This little sprout was seriously weird.
It actually had the aura of a House Drake!
No wonder it could, just like him, enter Grace’s sanctum.
But Evan Xiao just couldn’t imagine what on earth a sprout with House Drake aura was supposed to be...
......
A few days later, the Spirit Alliance posted its recruitment notice for new members.
Grace headed to the Blue Moon Spirit Alliance to sign up.
Naturally, the Blue Moon Spirit Alliance was nowhere near as big as the Vermilion Spirit Alliance—it was just set up in a two-courtyard compound on the east side of the city.
When Grace arrived, she found there were quite a few people signing up, and there was already a line.
There weren’t many Spiritual Alchemists in the Blue Moon Kingdom—out of millions of practitioners, there were only about thirty or forty.
Of those thirty or forty, only fifteen had actually joined the Alliance.
So, once the notice went up, quite a few people rushed to sign up.
After waiting in line for a bit, it was finally Grace’s turn. She realized the person handing out forms was Sam Yuan.
“Grace! It’s you!” Sam Yuan’s eyes lit up. “You’re here to sign up too?”
“Yep!” Grace grinned.
Here, fill out a registration form! Sam Yuan handed her a sheet of paper. The pens and ink are over there.
Grace took the form and went over to the area with all the tables to fill it out.
The registration form was just like in her previous life—she had to fill in her name, birthplace, date of birth, address, father, mother, and so on.
Basically, once you finished, your whole life was laid out for everyone to see.
Grace filled it out honestly, then handed it to Sam Yuan.
Sam Yuan put it away carefully and asked in a low voice, "I heard the Alliance exam is super tough. You think you’ll pass?"
“No problem, trust me!” Grace winked at him.
Whoa, who’s this? Suddenly, a familiar voice called out.
Then, everyone from the Alliance present greeted in unison: "Vice President."
Grace turned around and saw that Sophie Sun had arrived.
She wore a tea-green patterned robe with a cherry-red skirt embroidered with butterfly designs. Several Alliance attendants in uniform trailed behind her, making her look every bit the big shot.
“Isn’t this Miss Zhu?” Sophie Sun smiled. “What brings you to my Alliance’s turf?”
Grace just looked at her and said nothing.
Sophie Sun walked over to Sam Yuan and snatched the registration form from his hands.
After a quick glance, she flashed a smug smile: “You want to sign up and join the Alliance too?”
“So what if I do?” Grace shot back. “Are you really going to stop me from signing up?”
Sophie Sun just laughed. With a dramatic rip, she tore Grace’s registration form in two.
“Vice President Sun, what are you doing?” Sam Yuan’s face changed as he shouted.
“I tore up her registration form. Why are you so worked up?” Sophie Sun raised an eyebrow.
Then, with a look of sudden realization, she said, “Oh, I remember! Aren’t you two the famous pair from Danyang City? Born on the same year, same month, same day, right?”
“Vice President Sun!” Sam Yuan said gravely. “The notice from the Vermilion Spirit Alliance says any Spiritual Alchemist can sign up! No one’s allowed to interfere. Aren’t you afraid she’ll report you to the Vermilion Alliance?”
