Vengeance Will Be Served

Edward burst out laughing, flooring the gas pedal. The antique automobile shot across the square at a wild speed, never slowing down for a second.

Alexander Hayes stared out the car window in shock as the scenery whipped past. "This automobile is unbelievably fast!"

Princess Jade Hayes smiled and asked, "How does it compare to a warhorse?"

Alexander Hayes replied, "A horse can't match this speed, nor its endurance. This automobile truly is a miracle! Jade, can we build one ourselves?"

Edward chimed in, "No wonder you two are a perfect match—always thinking alike!"

Princess Jade Hayes nodded to Alexander Hayes, "We should be able to. Edward brought back the entire production line for automobiles, and we have foreign students who studied car manufacturing. The only catch is the fuel—it's called gasoline, and we have to make it ourselves. Without gasoline, the car won't run."

"Then what about gasoline? Can we produce it ourselves?" Alexander Hayes's eyes lit up at the idea.

"Of course! Gasoline is made from petroleum. When we drew up the borders for the Kingdom of Qin, I made sure to include Greenfield County. That place produces a kind of black liquid—nothing grows where it flows, so people always looked down on Greenfield. But that black water is petroleum! With it, we can make gasoline and all sorts of other good things!" Princess Jade Hayes explained.

Alexander Hayes exclaimed, "Jade, you truly have foresight! You planned all this from the very beginning."

While the two were talking, Edward had already brought the automobile to a roaring stop by the roadside.

After Alexander Hayes got out of the car, he circled the automobile several times, clearly smitten. "We should allocate more funds to the automobile factory," he declared.

Princess Jade Hayes stifled a laugh, thinking to herself, 'Men really are the same everywhere—ancient or modern, they all have a special fascination with cars.'

Even Alexander Hayes, a man from the ancient world, was instantly captivated by his first glimpse of a car.

Alexander Hayes stayed behind to admire the car, while Edward and Princess Jade Hayes went to oversee the unloading of their luggage.

All the imported goods were sorted and neatly arranged in several large warehouses.

The rise of industrialization in the Kingdom of Qin would begin right here, among these warehouses and these goods.

Princess Jade Hayes gazed at the piles of goods with longing. She recalled her previous life—towering skyscrapers, cars, airplanes, a world both advanced and civilized.

Now, even in ancient times, she finally had the power to change everything!

Perhaps the changes she made would quietly reshape the entire world.

In her past life, China was bullied by foreign armies—a national humiliation she would never forget.

In this life, Lily Evans would never allow her country to repeat the mistakes of the past!

She now possessed limitless wealth, a team of returned scholars brimming with knowledge, and the most advanced equipment money could buy.

An industrialized nation would rise under her leadership!

Once the country advanced at lightning speed and claimed the top spot in the world, in a few decades, who would dare bully Qin again?

To rule Qin was to command a mere patch of land, but the world itself was vast and endless.

In this world, whoever had the strongest fist would have the loudest voice. Everything was ready, and all Lily needed was the final push—she was determined to make Qin the strongest of all.

Anyone who dared defy her—she’d crush them!

Anyone she didn’t like—she’d crush them too!

As for Leonard Li of Jin and Gregory Gu Jr. of Chu, once Qin became a world power, dealing with those two would be a matter of minutes!

When the time came, every grudge would be avenged, every injustice repaid!
