Roxanne Lin lay nestled in Evan Chu’s arms, her whole body trembling with anticipation and shyness. A fiery blush spread across her face, making her feel hot all over.
Arriving by the edge of the bathing pool, Evan grinned and said, “Roxy, isn’t it about time we finally held our wedding when we get back? You were the first woman to be with me, but you’ve fallen behind the others. Now, only Jenny Sima hasn’t married me yet.”
Roxanne blinked, catching the implication in Evan’s words. She asked, “Evan, have you taken on even more women? I won’t object, but have you considered how Lily Tang and Rhea Yang feel about it?”
“I couldn’t have reached my current realm without them,” Evan replied. “My constitution is special, so I need to absorb their yin energy to strengthen myself. But don’t worry—I treat every one of you equally. No favorites.”
“I knew you’d be a flirt. Weren’t you going to bathe? Why are you just standing there?” Roxanne teased.
Evan shot Roxanne a look, then stripped off all his clothes, revealing his toned muscles and something that made her nearly faint with shock.
At that moment, she realized Evan’s ‘equipment’ was nearly twice as large as before. Just imagining the consequences of it entering her made her shiver with dread.
“Roxy, should I help you, or do you want to do it yourself?” Evan asked with a wicked grin, completely unfazed by his own nudity.
“Can I keep my clothes on? Honestly, I’m a little scared,” Roxanne said, still shaken.
Evan glared at her, then pulled her close and quickly stripped off her clothes as well. The closer they got to the end, the more Roxanne trembled, her cheeks flushed like a ripe red apple—stunning and seductive.
Unable to help himself, Evan swallowed hard and finally removed her last barrier. The body that could drive any man mad appeared before him—Roxanne was more beautiful than ever.
Her figure and every alluring curve were even more captivating, stirring an urge to claim her instantly. But Evan resisted, instead pulling her into the pool.
The pool’s water was a bit chilly—not the most comfortable. Roxanne, with her Vermilion Bird bloodline, was naturally fiery, and Evan had mastered the fire element too, so the cold meant little to them.
With a thought, Evan conjured two fireballs in his hands. In moments, the water’s temperature rose, steam curling up from the surface. Roxanne stared at him like he was some kind of monster.
“You can actually heat the pool with fire directly? Evan, that’s amazing! Doesn’t fire go out in water? How did you do it?” Roxanne asked in awe.
“I’ve mastered both fire and water elements, so I can fuse them together. Heating this pool is easy. Now hurry up and bathe your husband! Toss in some rose petals and bath oil too—I want to see what it’s like for a woman to bathe.” Evan chuckled.
“You’re impossible. How can you even say things like that? Are you sure you’re not crazy?” Roxanne retorted.
Despite her words, Roxanne got to work, while Evan closed his eyes and enjoyed the bath. For Roxanne, though, it was pure torture—especially whenever her hands brushed against a certain part of him. She nearly turned to stone each time.
After a while, Evan said, “You’ve worked hard. Now it’s my turn to serve you—turn around!”
Evan’s hands seemed almost magical as they roamed over Roxanne’s body, lingering on her most sensitive spots and shaping them at will. Roxanne was nearly driven mad by his touch, but she didn’t dare make a sound.
Evan knew exactly how Roxanne would react, so he didn’t rush further. Instead, his hands slid gently down her body, exploring every curve. Just then, Roxanne gasped, “Evan, don’t torture me, okay?”
To Evan, her plea was like an imperial decree. “How could I ever torture you? I’ll make you satisfied right now.” With that, he found his target and began moving inside the water, and Roxanne, strangely enough, didn’t feel that he was too big anymore—she even thought it was odd.
They battled in the pool for a long time. Only when Roxanne was utterly spent did Evan finally channel his Pure Yang Qi and her yin energy into a harmonious blend, guiding it into her body. Roxanne immediately absorbed it eagerly.
Watching the woman in his arms enter cultivation, Evan felt a surge of emotion. He wondered when he would truly own his own piece of the heavens—a dream that still felt impossibly distant.
After leaving the pool, Evan didn’t disturb Roxanne. He simply sat alone at the table, waiting for her. This time, Roxanne took a long while to absorb the energy—likely because she had just broken through to the third layer of the Saint Martial Realm and needed to stabilize her realm. She didn’t emerge from the pool until dawn.
After getting dressed, Roxanne came to Evan’s side and said, “Evan, thank you. Even though I didn’t break through another realm, I know I’m now at least mid or late third layer of the Saint Martial Realm. You’re incredible—being your woman is such a blessing, you give us all so much.”
“Roxy, it’s what I should do. Do we really need to say such distant words between us?” Evan replied.
Dawn was brief, and soon daylight filled the sky. Evan and Roxanne went to the Vermilion Bird Temple, exchanged a few words with the Vermilion Bird Clan Chief, and then prepared to leave.
Passing through the exit barrier, Evan encountered no resistance. It turned out that leaving the Vermilion Bird Clan’s territory was unrestricted; only entering from the outside required powerful fire-elemental control.
Evan and Roxanne appeared in a mountain valley. Roxanne laughed, “Three years—it’s finally time to breathe fresh air again. It’s such a rare treat.”
“Roxy, do you want to visit your family first, or come with me straight to the Royal Capital?” Evan asked.
“I’d better see my family first. I don’t know how my father’s health has been these years—I really miss him,” Roxanne said.
With that, Evan and Roxanne soared into the sky. Competitive as ever, Roxanne challenged, “Evan, let’s see whose speed is faster.”
“I’m afraid you’ll lose. If you don’t believe me, just try!” Evan replied. Right then, Roxanne’s body flashed with red light and transformed into a massive, flaming bird. Her body was wreathed in fire—this was the first time Evan had seen her true form. He was shocked: Roxanne had fully awakened her bloodline and evolved into a Netherfire Phoenix. It was unbelievable.
Roxanne let out a clear phoenix cry that echoed through the valley. In a flash, a fire-red phantom streaked across the sky, vanishing from Evan’s sight. Her speed was so extreme that even Evan was stunned.
