Missing Element Part 2

I held a pen in my mouth and wrote a note, asking Leo to tell me what happened last night.

Leo drooped his head, sighing as he looked at me.

Last night, Mo Yu truly didn't put up any resistance. Leo rushed forward but was knocked to the ground, powerless to fight back. Crimson Night's people generally don't act against ordinary people outside of management, but this crystal cat was their target. All of this seemed too suspicious, and as I thought it over, perhaps Mo Yu had some connection with the Crimson Night members.

I started asking questions, but Leo completely dismissed my doubts.

"Sigh, telling you all this is pointless. I'm heading out. The food is in the fridge, be careful and fix something for yourself."

Xiao Le didn't wait for me to continue asking and left. I sat dazed on the sofa, anxious, but when I looked at my own hands, even in this body, I couldn't feel any strength at all.

With a bang, I angrily slammed my hand on the table. Instantly, a piercing pain made me grimace, and my hand slowly began to swell.

This sense of helplessness was something I had never experienced before.

It was nightfall and Nolan still hadn't returned. I couldn't speak, not even able to do the simplest thing like asking around. My body was extremely weak, and saving Ms. Mo Yu was nearly impossible.

Night had fallen, and it was pitch black outside. I was still sitting on the sofa, not bothering to fix myself anything to eat. My stomach growled, and even when I was human, I'd never felt so powerless.

But just then, I heard a clicking sound. As I opened my eyes in surprise, a strong hand gripped my neck and covered my mouth. Instantly, everything went dark. Judging by the footsteps, there were quite a few people. My eyes were blindfolded, and they tied me up with rope. When I struggled a bit, I knew clearly I was powerless to resist.

I felt myself being put into a car, already driving on the road. I had no idea where they were taking me.

"This guy is that mute, right?"

"It should be."

It was just a brief exchange between a man and a woman. I was taken away, not knowing where I'd end up, but I closed my eyes and decided to sleep.

I didn't know how many hours had passed when I woke up. The light in front of me was dim, and as I opened my eyes, I felt extremely uncomfortable. There were people in front of me, all wearing veils, and I immediately realized this was Crimson Night's underground base. No matter how many bases I'd seen, they all looked exactly the same.

But this base felt very deserted, with fewer than thirty people. One of them, who seemed to be the leader, sat right in front of me on a chair.

"That woman said you have the item. Tell me, where did you hide it?"

Immediately, the man in front spoke. I was lifted up by two people and dragged over.

The guy in front of me had an infuriating look in his eyes. I started struggling, but then, with two sharp slaps, I felt a rush of warmth in my mouth. The man in front gripped my mouth.
