Selena Is Injured

1/19/2026

Selena's black light barrier was a Divine Martial Realm space confinement. At this moment, she unleashed a secret art that instantly boosted her strength to the seventh layer of the Divine Martial Realm—two full layers above Yuetian Wu.

Using space confinement at just the right moment would let her kill him instantly. Selena’s move was incredibly risky, but she had no choice—because she was worried about Evan Chu.

Yuetian Wu’s face changed dramatically when he saw Selena use space confinement on him, especially since her aura was now much stronger than before. From his experience, it was obvious she’d used some kind of secret technique to instantly raise her power.

His heart grew anxious. He hadn’t expected the Pingwu Firm’s master to actually be from the Demon Clan—and even more, to be a top-tier expert stronger than himself.

Inside the black light barrier, his movements were clearly restricted—and right now, Selena’s world-destroying sword-qi was coming straight for him.

Yuetian Wu didn’t hesitate at all. Gritting his teeth, he forcibly circulated his inner stellar power to raise his own realm by a layer, then hurriedly slashed out with his sword.

But the consequences of Yuetian Wu’s forced breakthrough were far worse than Selena’s. Not only would his realm drop by a layer afterward, his body would be unable to use stellar power for half a month.

In other words, for half a month, he’d be a cripple—even a first-layer Earth Martial Realm cultivator could kill him. The risk was obvious.

But he had no choice—without using a secret technique, he couldn’t hope to win or even escape. Keeping his life was the only thing that mattered.

Selena’s move, Instant Eternity, was her most powerful technique. Even at seventh-layer Divine Martial Realm, it would burn up half her stellar power in one strike. Its force could only be described as world-shattering.

With her strongest move, there was no way the enemy could withstand it. The space confinement would also be shattered by the sheer power of her attack, and the resulting backlash was inevitable. But for Evan Chu, Selena was willing to endure that pain.

In an instant, their attacks collided. The massive surge of energy shattered the black light barrier, and Yuetian Wu’s sword was split cleanly in two by Selena’s strike.

The overwhelming force at the tip of her sword sliced through his body, grinding him to dust and scattering him into the air.

At the same moment, Selena coughed up a mouthful of blood. The black veil on her face was already gone, revealing a complexion as pale as death.

The backlash was so fierce that Selena felt her spirit had suffered a severe blow. Right now she could barely keep her balance in the air.

Enduring the agonizing pain of the backlash, she took out a fragrant red pill from her storage ring, swallowed it, and slowly drifted down to the mountaintop.

Meanwhile, Goldwing was being chased all over the sky by three Heaven Martial Realm experts. His speed was incredible—if he wanted to escape, no one could stop him. But he refused; his job was to hold these three off so Evan Chu could finish killing Flynn Yun.

Just then, Goldwing saw Evan Chu running back toward him. He knew Evan had succeeded, so he immediately wheeled around and flew toward Evan’s location.

“Old Goldwing, are you alright?” Evan Chu saw Goldwing covered in wounds and bleeding, and immediately called out in concern.

“These wounds are nothing. Among the three, one is pretty strong—the other two aren’t hard to handle,” Goldwing replied.

"You keep those two busy; I'll take on the strong one. Be careful—Selena should be here any moment," Evan Chu ordered.

"You really do have good instincts—figured out I was coming. Seeing you both unharmed puts me at ease," Selena’s voice rang out as she appeared before Evan.

Evan’s heart lurched when he saw the blood at Selena’s lips and her paper-white face. He hurriedly asked, "How bad are your injuries? You look seriously hurt."

"Not dead yet. If I died, who’d give you a baby? Don’t forget, my divination showed us having a child together," Selena squeezed out a bitter smile.

A sound split the air as the three Heaven Martial experts arrived. But when they saw Selena standing beside Evan, their faces went pale—they knew this woman had killed Yuetian Wu, otherwise she wouldn’t be here.

Instantly, they wanted to flee. Evan and Selena saw through their intent, and just as Evan was about to attack, Selena stopped him.

"Dealing with these ants is still within my ability. You rest and recover—watch how your woman handles them," Selena declared.

Evan wanted to argue about her calling herself 'your woman', but seeing how badly hurt she was and how she was protecting him, he held back.

Selena moved in a blur, unleashing a surge of thick black demonic qi that engulfed all three. Her hands slowly closed together, and after about two seconds, three crisp snapping sounds echoed from the black mist.

Evan knew Selena had killed all three, and her eerie method of execution was truly shocking.

When the black mist faded, the three corpses were nothing but empty skins. At that moment, Selena couldn’t help but cough up another mouthful of blood; her face turned even paler and she looked like she might collapse.

Seeing this, Evan rushed over to support her. Maybe because he was too anxious, his hand accidentally pressed against something huge and soft—it felt real, big, and incredibly plush.

Evan quickly realized where his hand had landed and jerked it away, moving it to her back instead—but his heart was pounding wildly.

Of course Selena noticed Evan’s touch, but instead of getting angry, she felt secretly delighted. His anxious expression over her injury proved he truly cared; the only thing he couldn’t accept was her Demon Clan identity.

"I’m fine. It’s just my spirit’s been badly wounded—it won’t recover anytime soon, unless I can get a Cloud-Dream Fruit. But that kind of spiritual medicine is almost impossible to find," Selena said.

"I’m sure the Royal Capital has one. I’ll have Skylar Yule get it for you when we return. Right now, healing your physical injuries is the priority—spirit damage can wait," Evan replied.

He knew from experience—Selena’s situation was much like his own after overusing Heart-Sword: he couldn’t use Heart-Sword, while she now couldn’t use space confinement.

"Let’s go check out the spoils of war!" Selena said.

Evan supported Selena as they walked over to the bomb carts. She could have walked by herself, but since he and Goldwing were mostly unharmed while she’d taken the brunt of the damage, he insisted on helping her.
