Chapter 680: Taking Flight

Leon couldn’t care less. Judging by how these Ancestral Wardens treated the Three-Eyed Wolf God, they could have a thousand years and still fail to deceive him. Even a fart from the Wolf God would scare them into kneeling and trembling on the ground.

He opened the demi-plane and let everyone else out first, stepping out last himself.

Back in the captain’s cabin, the group began discussing where to go next.

Even Ses joined in the discussion.

"Let’s get out of this plane as soon as possible. And this USS Dauntless—seriously, it’s cursed..."

The speaker was Ses, who had lost all affection for the USS Dauntless. All he wanted was to leave, find a quiet place to recover, and get his strength back—nothing else mattered.

Hubert was still thinking about the Dragonblood Flower root he’d swallowed earlier, loudly insisting they search every inch of the USS Dauntless.

Anderson, on the other hand, had no requests—after all, the Heart of Lava was already embedded in the Arcane Wheel.

As for Reina, she wanted nothing at all. All she asked was to follow Leon, and for Leon not to die before he was strong enough to resurrect her father.

After the group had talked back and forth for a while, Leon finally spoke.

"I’m going to Constantine’s Dominion."

Anderson, Reina, and Hubert immediately fell silent. If Leon said he was going, that meant the decision was made. All they had to do was follow. They’d already survived the USS Dauntless—how much worse could a dead god-demon’s Dominion be?

But Ses shook his head. "We can’t get into Constantine’s Dominion."

Before anyone could ask, Ses continued matter-of-factly, "I’m sure Lord Merlin has already guessed it—our Watson Family didn’t come here for Emperor Norlick’s Scepter. We came to find a relic left behind by Constantine."

He glanced at Leon, who looked as calm as ever, hesitated, then added, "Honestly, I don’t even know what the relic is. The family only got a solid lead that it’s in Constantine’s burial ground—in other words, inside his Dominion."

Before we came, the family had already investigated Constantine’s Dominion thoroughly. Tons of clues were gathered. Constantine’s Dominion is actually a gigantic tree stretching to the sky—the legendary Tree of Wisdom. They say it’s infinite, containing unfathomable power.

Constantine’s Dominion is that tree. Constantine may be gone, but the Tree of Wisdom is still alive, forming the Dominion itself, like an independent world. To enter Constantine’s Dominion, you need to have his bloodline.

This time, we got word that the Black Tower sent someone with Constantine’s bloodline. Our Watson Family brought someone too—Anthus.

Anthus’s maternal family carried Constantine’s bloodline, weak but real. Now Anthus is dead, and not even his body remains. There’s no way for us to enter Constantine’s Dominion...

Since they couldn’t get in anyway, Ses decided to be generous and shared everything he knew. Leon had saved his life—so revealing information that wasn’t exactly a family secret didn’t bother him.

When Ses finished, Anderson just curled his lip and didn’t say anything to Ses. Instead, he turned to Leon and muttered, "Fine, we can’t get in now anyway. Let’s get out of here before something weird happens…"

No one really knew what Constantine’s Dominion was, but everyone understood one thing: if it was still intact, there was no way they could break in. Not even a crack.

It was like a new plane you could see with your own eyes. If you didn’t know the coordinates, you were stuck just staring at it—unless you tried brute force.

Someone like Anthus, with a trace of Constantine’s bloodline, was basically the coordinate to this plane—the key to opening the way into the Dominion.

Ses, full of good intentions, tried to persuade Leon once more. Leon, however, was utterly indifferent: "Doesn’t matter. I never planned on looking for Anthus or any of them."

Ses was dumbfounded, and even Anderson looked puzzled. This was a god-demon’s Dominion—without a key, what did Leon have up his sleeve?

Then Leon took out the Spellbook of Ages and began chanting strange incantations. Runes burst out from the tome in droves, swirling with an eerie light.

Tens of thousands of runes shot out, like glowing butterflies, swarming toward the Captain's Crystal Helm—the magical interface that controlled the USS Dauntless's flight and navigation.

The runes landed on the Captain's Crystal Helm, seeming to merge with its surface. Countless symbols kept pouring in, as if a river of runes was flowing from Leon's hand into the bottomless abyss of the helm—a magical interface that held the secrets to the Dauntless's legendary power.
