Human Limits

"For the supreme masters, for the Immortality Society..."

With a thunderous crash, Warren Wang's body shattered into chunks of black flesh. At that moment, the immobilized Blue Mask Agents all raised a hand.

"For immortality..."

With a series of sickening thuds, each Blue Mask Agent of the Immortality Society spat black blood, their heads lolling to the side as one after another died.

"It looks like there's no way to pry the truth out of these bastards."

John Chou muttered, then immediately called out.

"Uncle Zhuang, take them back. Don't linger in the world of the living for too long—we have an agreement with the Underworld."

"Ah-Chou, let me go back with you. I'll wait for you here."

The female Greenshade Ghost was just about to approach when John Chou shot her a warning glare.

"Get lost."

Zachary Justice stared silently at the corpses of the Blue Mask Agents, his face twisted in anger.

"These bastards aren't worthy of being called human."

Elder Peach sat on the ground. In such a short time, everything he'd experienced had revealed so much—things he'd never considered, or never wanted to consider. All of it was because of Zachary Justice.

"Master Justice, can you tell me? What is my limit as a human?"

Elder Peach asked, his voice trembling with emotion. Zachary Justice let his anger fade, turned, and shook his head.

"Your limit as a human—it's something you can only know on the day you die."
