Kicking Open the Warehouse Door
Someone whispered to her, "Now the warehouse is all managed by Leo Bo, including the alchemy furnaces."
Normally, the alchemy furnaces should be managed by the Spirit Tool Division.
But the Blue Moon Spirit Alliance is nothing like the Vermillion Bird Spirit Alliance. The so-called Spirit Tool Division is just a fancy title—there aren’t even any real blacksmiths. A random alchemist is assigned to manage the furnaces and such.
So Grace nodded and went off to find Leo Bo.
She found him over by the medicinal warehouse.
When Leo Bo saw Grace, he immediately shut the door behind him and asked, "What are you doing here?"
"There’s only one furnace left in the alchemy room," Grace said. "But that one’s broken. Could you get me a proper cauldron?"
"There aren’t any left," Leo Bo replied.
"But I saw before that every station had a little furnace!"
"The rest have all been lent out."
"Lent out? Lent to who?"
Leo Bo said rudely, "Is that any of your business? Didn’t you use that broken furnace to make Qi Condensation Pills during your entrance exam? So of course you can use it now too! If you can’t make them now, then you must've cheated back then! Did you cheat?"
Grace stared at him, then suddenly walked over and kicked open the warehouse door.
In the corner of the warehouse, there were seven or eight perfectly good cauldrons sitting there!
Not only were the cauldrons there, but in an open sack in the warehouse were top-grade ingredients for making Qi Condensation Pills.
And there were sacks like that all over the floor.
"Ha!" Grace chuckled, turning to Leo Bo. "So, no ingredients and no cauldrons, huh?"
Leo Bo panicked for a moment, but quickly found an excuse and shouted, his face red, "These ingredients belong to the Spirit Alliance! The ones distributed to you are from the imperial court, you can’t mix them!"
"What about the cauldrons?" Grace pointed at them. "Didn’t you say they were lent out?"
"They’re lent out, but people haven’t come to pick them up yet!" Leo Bo said.
Grace took a deep breath. "Is that so?"
"Get out! The warehouse is off-limits. You don’t have permission to be here!" Leo Bo said sternly.
Grace paused for a moment. "Fine! I’ll leave! So what if it’s medicinal scraps? So what if it’s a broken furnace? Do you believe I can use these to make the best pills? When I do, you’ll be furious!"
"Oh really? I’ll be watching!" Leo Bo sneered.
Grace put on a huffy expression and stormed out.
She returned to the big alchemy room, just like during the last exam. She put the herbs in, leaned in, and—when no one was looking—snuck all the ingredients into her Sanctum.
Once she was done, she pretended to stoke the fire.
Then she slipped into her Sanctum and used her own cauldron to refine the pills.
A batch of Qi Condensation Pills came out—top quality.
Her alchemy cauldron was pretty good, personally crafted by Mo Jue. But compared to the famous alchemy cauldrons on the continent, it was still far from the best.
The reason she could make such high-quality pills was because the Illusory Array had been activated.
Ever since the Illusory Array on the first floor of the Ancient Tower was activated, the pills she refined had been much better than before...
......
After finishing, Grace—as usual—put the pills into the broken furnace, pretending she’d made them with that.
She grabbed a porcelain bowl, picked out the pills while they were still warm, and ran off happily to find Vice President Leo.
Vice President Liu was from the Pill Division. He managed finished pills and was the best at judging their quality.
