The Whole Family Together

Edward Yu heard Mr. Su's shout and was so furious he almost spat blood. Wasn't this just kicking him when he was down!?

However, Su Li's words did have an effect. More onlookers joined the fight.

Edward Yu and his men became human punching bags. Although they weren't few in number, surrounded by so many strong recruits, it was like wolves fighting over scraps—there just wasn't enough to go around!

"Tsk, still not dead—pretty tough, aren't you?" Su Li squatted down and looked at Edward Yu.

Edward Yu's eyes were so swollen he could barely see the person in front of him.

Su Li said, "Edward Yu, you'd better come clean about secretly recruiting the Zhao Militia, spreading rumors, and disrupting the army's recruitment. Tell us everything."

"I—I didn't do it, I'm innocent..." Edward Yu stammered.

"At a time like this, you're still being stubborn. Tsk, fine, if you won't talk, I'll just toss you back to the crowd. What do you think will happen to you then?" Su Li said calmly.

Edward Yu's face turned green with fear. He shook his head frantically, "No, no, I'll confess, I'll tell you everything!"

"Lola, record his confession," Su Li ordered.

Lola took out paper, while Neil Zhao held onto Edward Yu, forcing him to spill all the secrets he and Zachary Yan had been hiding, then had him sign with a handprint.

"Alright, we've got the confession. Since both of you committed treason, the law says it's off with your heads!" Su Li declared. Edward Yu fainted from fright before Su Li even finished speaking.

"Tie up Edward Yu and the Zhao family lackeys and parade them through the streets! Let those restless Zhao loyalists see what happens when you betray the Palace of Qin!" Su Li said.

Led by Edward Yu, the Zhao family members were bound to prison carts and paraded through the streets, while the townsfolk cheered and applauded.

Meanwhile, Zachary Yan sat at home, waiting for good news from his brother. Instead, he received nothing but disaster!

Neil Zhao led a squad of Black Armor Qin Troops straight into Zachary Yan's house, dragging him out of his sweet dreams.

Watching Zachary Yan get arrested, Neil Zhao finally let out a long breath and grinned fiercely: "Zachary Yan, you got what's coming to you! At last, I've avenged my mother and my family!"

Zachary Yan glared at Neil Zhao, his face twisted with rage. "Neil Zhao, you little bastard, don't think you're hot stuff just because you sided with the Palace of Qin! When I'm back, I'll make you pay!"

"You’re not coming back! Drop dead, old bastard!" Neil Zhao punched Zachary Yan square in the face.

Zachary Yan was dragged out of his house. When he saw his brother and all his henchmen already locked up in prison carts, he froze on the spot.

"This is your brother’s confession. Treason means your whole family loses everything and loses their heads," Su Li announced, waving the written confession. The soldiers seized Zachary Yan and all his cronies, and shoved them onto the prison carts.

"W-where are you taking us?" Zachary Yan shouted in terror.

Su Li winked at Zachary Yan. "I told you, you all committed capital crimes. No time like the present—let’s chop off those heads today. And look, the whole family’s here. Isn’t it nice to be together?"
