After drinking the milk brought by the maid, Cecilia Gu walked barefoot to the bookshelf, randomly pulled out a book, and sprawled onto the sofa, planning to take a break.
But before she could relax for long, Charles Yin called.
"Hm? What's up?" Cecilia asked lazily.
"Didn't you just finish the livestream? Are you tired? I want to take you somewhere." Charles Yin's gentle laughter came through the phone, warm and soothing.
Cecilia was about to refuse, but then she reconsidered—if Charles Yin was asking like this, he must have his reasons. So she said, "Sure. Where to?"
"The driver is already on the way. You'll know once you get picked up." Charles Yin replied happily.
Cecilia felt like Charles Yin was almost suspiciously happy!
What could possibly make him this happy?
Cecilia put down her book and went back to her room to change into a new outfit.
By the time she finished getting ready, the driver had just arrived at the door.
Cecilia got in the car with her assistant Wendy and headed straight to the place Charles Yin had picked.
At first, Cecilia was puzzled—why was Charles Yin bringing her all the way out to the suburbs?
But the moment she got out of the car, she was completely stunned by the view!
Everywhere she looked, there were clusters of blooming flowers.
Turning to look around, she saw dense, orderly flowerbeds all around her.
As far as the eye could see, there was nothing but a vast sea of flowers.
It was obvious these flowers had just been transplanted—the soil was still fresh.
Cecilia remembered this used to be wasteland. When did it turn into a sea of flowers?
Just then, the driver respectfully said to Cecilia, "Mrs. Yin, the CEO is waiting for you up ahead."
After saying this, the driver stepped back and stood smiling.
Wendy stood aside as well, giving Cecilia and Charles Yin their space.
Cecilia was a little surprised, then slowly walked down the stone path.
After walking for about ten minutes, Cecilia finally saw Charles Yin crouched on the ground, carefully straightening a flower.
That usually aloof emperor was now rolling up his sleeves, sweating as he planted a bright camellia.
Charles Yin heard Cecilia approaching and immediately looked up.
"What are you doing..." Cecilia couldn't help but say, "Thinking of switching careers to be a flower farmer?"
Charles Yin slowly stood up, walked over to Cecilia, and opened his arms.
Cecilia gently nestled into his embrace. "Hm?"
"Cici..." Charles Yin said in a low voice, "I'm really sorry for not giving you a grand wedding before. I know I was wrong. So, will you give me a chance to make it up to you? I've bought this land and planted all your favorite flowers. Let's have our wedding here, okay? I picked and planted every single one myself."
Cecilia looked at him in surprise. "You've been busy with all this these days?"
"Cici, I want to give you the best. Even the smallest detail—I want it to be perfect for you." Charles Yin gently took Cecilia's fingers and kissed them. "I want the whole world to know that the greatest love in the world is your companionship."
Cecilia was clearly moved, but she teased, "We're an old married couple now—why all this fuss?"
Charles Yin playfully bit the corner of Cecilia's mouth. "Hmph, I just love seeing you moved but unable to say it! Every anniversary, I want to move you again! I promised my parents I'd cherish you forever. This is just the first year—you're already this touched. How will you handle the next few decades?"
Cecilia poked Charles Yin's lips with her finger. "Tell me, do you have something to say? Were you afraid I'd get mad, so you prepared all this in advance?"
Charles Yin bit Cecilia's finger, pretending to be fierce. "How dare you doubt my sincerity—you deserve to be punished!"
Cecilia hadn't expected him to bite her finger. A jolt of electricity shot from her fingertip straight to her heart, making her blush deeply.
"Stop it! Behave! There are other people here!" Cecilia quickly pulled her finger back, not daring to mess around with Charles Yin anymore.
Seeing Cecilia's face turn bright red, Charles Yin couldn't help but laugh with delight.
Charles Yin rested his chin on Cecilia's shoulder, wrapped his arms around her waist, and whispered in her ear, "The blood test we did last time is finally confirmed. We're really having a daughter. This garden is my first gift to her. Cici, we're having a girl! We're really having a girl! Thank you for giving me both a son and a daughter."
Cecilia cried out in delight, "Are you sure?"
