Evan Chu stared in surprise at the energy fluctuations flickering across the three purple crystals. "Luna, what kind of crystal is that? How can it have such a powerful energy surge? It feels even stronger than my Starstones."
"Those are supreme-grade Immortal Stones. Immortal Stones come in five colors, each corresponding to a different grade. The lowest, low-grade, is yellow; mid-grade is green; high-grade is red; supreme-grade is purple; and the rarest Immortal Crystal is completely transparent. The ones glowing with purple light are supreme-grade Immortal Stones," Luna explained.
"Why is there only an altar here? I thought this would be another terrifying place, with even stronger monsters. But since supreme-grade Immortal Stones are here, does that mean Serena Frost is healing her soul on this floor? And she made me collect these five Immortal Tokens to prove my strength before meeting her?" Evan asked.
"That’s probably about right. Why don’t you try taking out the tokens? See the pentagram diagram on the altar? Each point has an inset groove, shaped exactly like your tokens. I believe if you place them in, Serena Frost’s soul-body will appear," Luna said.
Evan glanced over and saw the grooves just as Luna described. He walked closer and saw five characters written on the pentagram: Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, Earth. The colors of the tokens he’d collected matched the five elements, so he took them all out and placed each one into its corresponding slot.
Once everything was set, Evan stepped back and watched the altar closely. After a few breaths, the pentagram diagram erupted in dazzling light, and the purple Immortal Stones atop the altar stopped spinning. Then, a white-robed young woman appeared before Evan.
The young woman wore a white veil over her face, and her body was as ethereal as Luna’s—almost completely insubstantial, more a shape than a presence.
Evan knew this was because she was in soul form, but her soul-body seemed even weaker than Luna’s. Still, one thing was impossible to ignore: the girl’s chest was enormous. Even through the haze, it was clear—of all the women Evan had ever seen, hers was the biggest by far.
If she ever regained her physical body, Evan could only imagine how many hot-blooded young men would lose control at the sight. At that moment, the girl studied Evan carefully, her expression surprised. She’d expected the person to reach her altar to be a middle-aged man or an elder, not a youth.
Anyone who could make it here was clearly extraordinary. To obtain all five tokens and know how to use them meant this person had a truly rare fortune. "You managed to reach this place, which means your strength is impressive. I need your help. If you can assist me, I’ll reward you with a saint-grade martial technique coveted by everyone in this world," the girl said bluntly.
"Serena Frost, take this soul medicine first. Once you’ve recovered a bit, we can talk. As for your saint-grade martial technique, I’m not interested. The only thing I truly want is your Tri-Mystic Tower. Don’t worry about who I am or how I know these things—let’s discuss it after you’ve healed. I never expected your soul to be this badly damaged; it’s worse than I imagined," Evan said bluntly.
Shock—utter shock! Serena Frost stared at Evan, then raised her hand and took the soul medicine from him. Evan had no idea how she consumed it, but the medicine vanished, and she floated in midair, eyes closed, refining its power.
No one knew how much time passed before Serena Frost opened her eyes. She looked noticeably less hazy than before. "Young man, thank you. I never expected you to have such a precious soul medicine. How do you know my name? And how did you recognize this tower as the Tri-Mystic Tower?"
"I don’t know who hurt you in the Immortal Realm to leave you in such a state, but I believe I might be able to help you restore your body. You might not believe me, but I’m telling the truth," Evan said.
Serena Frost grew more and more astonished. This youth not only knew about the Tri-Mystic Tower, her identity, and secrets of the Immortal Realm, but he didn’t have a trace of Immortal Essence. That meant he was just a powerful martial artist, not an Immortal.
But looking closer, this youth was only at Seventh-Layer Saint Martial Realm. With that cultivation, he shouldn’t have been able to get here at all—he shouldn’t even have been able to open the second floor’s gate.
"I believe you have that ability, since you made it here. But I’m curious—how could someone at Seventh-Layer Saint Martial Realm reach this place? And how do you know about the Immortal Realm? Please explain. You’re my lifesaving benefactor now, so I won’t harm you," Serena Frost said.
"Lifesaving benefactor? What do you mean? Are you saying a single soul medicine makes me your lifesaver?" Evan asked in shock.
"The soul medicine helped me greatly, but it wasn’t enough to save my life. Only by gathering the Five-Element Immortal Tokens could you release me from the altar. To preserve my soul, I borrowed the power of heaven and earth to maintain the formation, but that violated heavenly law. If I’d remained trapped in the altar for decades more, I would have perished inside.
Some details you might not understand, but just remember: by using the tokens to release me from the altar, you’ve already saved me. So I have no reason to harm you. If you really can restore my body, I don’t care if you take my life-bound treasure, the Tri-Mystic Tower," Serena Frost said.
Evan wanted to ask what her life-bound treasure really was, but held back. He said, "My realm is only Saint Martial, but I can fight a full level higher—my true strength is Seventh-Layer Venerable Martial. Plus, I have two extremely heaven-defying innate spirit treasures. Their artifact spirits have already taken human form and can appear outside to help me, which is how I got here so easily.
As for how I know about you—it’s simple. You’re not the only Immortal Realm soul here. I’ve already met another soul like you, and she’s the one who told me about your situation."
"Who is it? Who is the other soul you met?" Serena Frost asked urgently, her voice trembling with excitement.
