The Door

"So slow, Ethan. Some of us have waited for you five days, and the shortest has been three days."

Isabelle Frost looked at me, her arms crossed, a hint of annoyance on her face.

"Sorry, Miss Isabelle, we could only drive here."

"Oh, Ethan, why did you only get here now? I've been so anxious waiting for you."

Death Curse walked past, and I saw Zhou Fulai looking furious. Cao Wanzhi and Duan Wentian were chatting and laughing about something.

"Fang, you're here."

Lin Rui stood up with a cheerful smile. Before us was a massive white stone wall, towering into the clouds, at least a hundred meters high.

I walked over and shook hands with Lin Rui.

"We've checked so many times, but there's no entrance here. And most importantly, Fang, it's almost impossible to get inside."

Ghost Painting Book Immortal said, and I let out a sigh, staring at the enormous white stone wall before me.

"Fang, heh heh, this was hard for me to discover, you know. Old Book, don’t steal my credit."

Black Moon approached, beaming. I smiled as well. Just then, James Grant got out of the car, and Isabelle Frost stared at him in shock.

"He looks..."

"Let me introduce you. This is James Grant, leader of Scarlet Night in this world, and he is the soul of Luna Quay."

I kept my introduction brief. At that moment, Felix Zhou stood up.

"I’m not going in with you. That place, they say, is where those three used to live. I doubt it’s any good. Notify me when you’re done. After all, I’m just an ordinary person, not like you monsters."

Kane walked over to Felix Zhou and placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder.

"Either way, I’m not going this time."

Deathcurse, usually eager to scold Felix Zhou, now showed a more complicated expression.

"Kid, tell me—what’s your real reason for not going?"

Felix Zhou glared at Deathcurse but said nothing. Everyone looked at Felix Zhou in confusion. We all sensed something—his agitated expression was tinged with fear.

"Felix, do you feel like you might die?"

Deathcurse asked. I was startled and looked at Felix Zhou. After a long hesitation, he nodded.

"Is it a sixth sense?"

Isabelle Frost asked. Felix Zhou awkwardly stood up and shook his head.

"I’m not lying to you. Really, I’m not just scared, I..."

The others couldn’t help but smile.

"Yeah, I’m a little afraid. After all, I’m the weakest among you. If I’m not careful, I might get killed instantly, and then I’ll just be a burden. Isn’t that a loss for everyone?"

"No one thinks you’re a coward, Felix Zhou. Don’t get the wrong idea."

Kane suddenly interrupted. Normally silent, Kane actually spoke up.
