Omen (Part One)

1/11/2026

The Star‑Sky Humans, one of the Four Great Life Races, are governed by the Three Great Halls.

The Human Race’s Halls are, in order: the Archaic Hall, the Scripture Hall, and the Eternal Hall. Each Hall oversees roughly a third of Human‑controlled star territory, with only a handful of overlapping zones jointly administered.

Simply put—

The Human Race’s core institutions are the Three Great Halls. Beneath them are hundreds of Cosmic Ancient Kingdoms and top‑tier agencies charged with defending the borders, such as the Human Development Bank and the Star‑Sky Biogen Corporation…

“Archaic Hall.”

“Spark‑Heritage Zone, Primeval Gate.”

Howard Gu was trapped in the kaleidoscopic world of a million colors. He murmured quietly to himself, gazing into the distance.

The world, saturated with millions of colors, spun endlessly like an exquisite kaleidoscope, sealing Howard Gu—who had reached the peak of the Void Rift Tier, was about to break through to the Cosmos Union Tier, and was preparing to assault the Eternal King realm—within this dazzling prison.

Both real and unreal, both illusory and substantial—this was an independent space, unanchored to the cosmic starry sky!

Thunder and lightning, wind and rain—the rotation of this magnificent world seemed to twist even the flow of time!

“Such painstaking effort.”

Dressed in white, Howard Gu shook his head and let out a silent, cold laugh.

Standing within the kaleidoscopic world, he surveyed his surroundings with perfect clarity… This was a sealed cage, meticulously crafted by the Hu‑Gu Race.

A strange complexity of colors.

Towering in the cosmic vacuum.

An independent world—on the surface, it appeared breathtakingly beautiful, stirring the heart, but in truth, it concealed countless killing traps and cunning malice.

Of course…

No matter what…

The Hu‑Gu Race, a mere third‑rate life race, would never dare kill Howard Gu. To personally slay a Primeval on the verge of becoming an Eternal King would be to declare war on the Star‑Sky Humans…

Consider this—

Deliberately provoking and declaring war on the Human Race—what consequences will that bring?

The Human Race has already made its stance clear—the fate of the Yu-Luo Race, a second-rate life race that was wiped out and evaporated from the starry sky, stands as a warning!

No life race is willing to bear such a devastating consequence!

"Hmph."

"Afraid to kill me?" Clad in white, Howard Gu rose, his eyes flashing cold light. "You manipulated my awareness, made me believe this place was the perfect site for breaking through to the Cosmos Union Tier, then cut off cosmic origin, making advancement impossible and robbing me of this chance!"

"Block my path, and you will pay!"

"A life-and-death hatred, remembered for eternity!"

"Come on, dare to kill me—I’ll stand right here and not fight back!"

Howard Gu straightened, the world still swirling with a million colors, utterly silent.

Yet Howard Gu could faintly sense a Hu-Gu Race Cosmos Union-tier lifeform lurking in the shadows, watching him with chilling intent...

He’d tried cursing, threatening, even roaring.

To Howard’s regret, the Hu-Gu Race Cosmos Union-tier beings remained unmoved, still watching him coldly.

"Heh, Hu-Gu Race."

Howard Gu let out a heavy breath.

Though he’d missed his breakthrough, the immense advantage of being Human was on full display. Without the struggles of Human forebears, who led the Star-Sky Humans from a third-rate life race to rise against the tide, how could there be today’s glory?

Generation after generation’s struggle...

Forged the endless brilliance that brought the Human Race to the Supreme seat.

Howard Gu closed his eyes, slowly tidying his pale robe. "Our Archaic Hall has always been hardline and warlike, yet it only sent the Primeval Gate to deal with the Hu-Gu Race’s deliberate provocation? They’re trying to seize our Human territory."

"Besides, the Hu-Gu Race is acting very strangely."

"Even with Light Clan backing, it’s meaningless. To compete with our Star-Sky Humans for territorial sovereignty is a guaranteed loss."

Howard Gu couldn’t understand the Hall’s response.

He was even more at a loss about the Hu-Gu Race’s true schemes.

"Forget it."

After much thought, Howard Gu sighed. "I just hope the Primeval Gate doesn’t suffer too many casualties... And I wonder how the Spark-Heritage Zone is analyzing this. Andrew Han only joined the Primeval Gate recently, and now they’re having him take part in something like this. Even with Supreme attention, it feels too rushed."

It’s not that he doubted Andrew Han.

He simply felt Andrew’s experience was too shallow; this might be the first time in his life he’s faced another cosmic life race head-on.

——

Archaic Hall, Spark-Heritage Zone.

Most Geniuses may have vaguely heard rumors of border unrest, but the details remain unknown to all.

In truth—

This isn’t public information.

Only Primevals with sufficiently high Star-Gate Permissions, and a handful of exceptional talents, can learn the current situation: the Hu-Gu Race disturbing the border, attempting to seize territory from a Cosmic Ancient Kingdom.

...

The former, as Primevals, need no further explanation.

The latter refers to the princes and princesses of the great Ancient Kingdoms, and heirs of top-tier institutions.

"This news is absolutely true!"

"I don’t believe it, I really don’t. You must be lying to me."

"She might lie to you, but would I?"

"Then you’re both lying to me... I’ve heard of this Andrew Han—he’s only completed two rounds of Primeval Duties, and Spark-Heritage hasn’t issued a life prediction yet. All our royal houses and top institutions are still waiting to see if it’s worth recruiting him, and now you say he’s been chosen as the Hall’s representative in battle?"

Some couldn’t believe it, some were curious and surprised, and others’ eyes flashed with calculation.

A surging undercurrent of astonishment swept through the Spark-Heritage Zone; upon hearing that Andrew Han would represent the Archaic Hall’s Spark-Heritage Zone in battle, countless eyes turned toward him.

As everyone knows—

Unless one reaches the Cosmos Union Tier,

A Genius’s level can always fluctuate.

For this reason, it’s impossible to make a final judgment about a Genius before they reach the Cosmos Union Tier. No one can say for sure whether a Genius’s talent will collapse—even Supreme Existences cannot predict it...

Simply put: Until the Cosmos Union Tier, a Genius’s fate remains uncertain!

Thus, royal houses and top institutions only pay attention to those Geniuses on the verge of advancing to the Cosmos Union Tier.

...

At the same moment, Hengsha Star-Gate.

Verdant mountains with clear waterfalls, the rushing stream crashing against green stone below, while the unique melody of a zither echoed through the landscape.

Ding!

It was likely the sound of a snapped zither string.

"Sigh."

With a soft sigh, the white-jade zither was put away, and the princess of the Cosmic Ancient Kingdom, Lyra Qin, slowly lifted her beautiful, slightly troubled face.

"Now things are a mess."

"Andrew Han rose to the Primeval Gate in such a short time, was granted the title of Spark-Heritage Paragon of the Age, and now is representing us in battle..."

If the first two could be attributed to luck, then Andrew Han’s participation in this battle is the strongest proof of Spark-Heritage Zone’s recognition.

There is no doubt about it.

A storm is destined to rise.

Whether it’s the royal houses of Ancient Kingdoms or the top institutions of the Star-Sky Humans, countless invitations are bound to follow, redefining Andrew Han’s future potential.

Lyra Qin looked deeply worried. "I originally planned to wait another eighty star-years, until our Ancient Kingdom’s grand banquet, to invite Andrew Han... I never expected, truly never expected, that he would rise so quickly!"

Now, it seems—

Lyra Qin had greatly underestimated Andrew Han.

She bit her lip, clenching her sleeve. "Our Cosmic Ancient Kingdom is at a weak point; compared to the invitations from other Ancient Kingdoms and top institutions, we truly have no advantage."

"Most importantly—"

"Our Cosmic Ancient Kingdom hasn’t even truly made contact with Andrew Han."

Every time Lyra Qin thought of this, a pang struck her heart—this was her mistake.

She hadn’t thought it through.

A serious miscalculation.

The key was, it couldn’t be remedied. Once Andrew Han left the Archaic Hall, countless people would approach him about his future, leaving almost no time for the Cosmic Ancient Kingdom.

"If only I’d known earlier." Regret flashed in Lyra Qin’s eyes. "Even if I had to drag him here by force, I should have brought Andrew Han to tour the Cosmic Ancient Kingdom and truly join us..."

Splash, splash.

The waterfall poured onto the green stone below, producing a muffled sound.

Whoosh, whoosh.

Mountain streams, gentle breezes, Lyra Qin’s hair floated in the air.

"So be it."

She swept up her hair. "No matter what, I hope Andrew Han’s battle goes smoothly."

...

Meanwhile, at the Primeval Gate—

Many Primevals discussed it with great interest, curious about the Spark-Heritage Zone’s sudden announcement—and even more curious about Andrew Han himself.

They were all in the Primeval Gate, with permissions high enough and connections deep enough that, aside from cosmic secrets and Human Race classified matters, almost nothing could be hidden from the Primevals.

"Where’s Howard Gu?"

"Why is Andrew Han able to represent us in battle?"

These were the two hottest topics of discussion within the Primeval Gate.

Yet—

At the center of all this attention, Andrew Han faced matters far more important...

"Heh heh."

Across countless star systems, he gazed at the virtual screen displaying his home on Earth, and at the habitually stern, wrinkled old face. "Master, your disciple will be home soon. Is there anything you want me to bring?"

Ning Moli scratched his wrinkled cheek and replied kindly, "Your master doesn’t want anything... Just come home quickly. I have something to discuss with you."
