Perfect for a Son-in-Law
"Of course! Otherwise, how could it be a family heirloom? The symbols carved on it are blessing charms—wear it, and it brings good luck and turns misfortune to fortune," Ryan Lu declared, sounding very pleased with himself. "You’re supposed to put it on your husband’s wrist yourself, on your wedding night!"
Yin Shu pulled an exaggerated face. "Wow!"
Lucia Lu snatched the bracelet away. "Don’t listen to my second brother’s nonsense!"
Ryan Lu protested, "How am I talking nonsense? When Divine Mother gave you this bracelet, wasn’t it meant for your future husband? Honestly, Divine Mother is so biased—shouldn’t treasures like this get passed down to a son? Why give it to a son-in-law instead?"
"Second Brother, you have plenty of these blessing artifacts, so quit complaining!" Luna Lian said. "You’re just making yourself look silly."
"What’s so silly about it?" Ryan Lu turned to Sean Shaw. "Fifth Highness, what do you think? Shouldn’t this kind of thing go to a son? What’s the logic in giving it to a son-in-law?"
Sean Shaw looked at the bracelet for a long time before saying, "Giving it to a son-in-law is just right."
Ryan Lu was stunned. "Why?"
"There are two reasons. First, things passed to sons usually come from the Divine Father, while the Divine Mother’s things suit daughters.
Second, for a true family heirloom, this bracelet isn’t heavy enough—it’s the blessing that matters. And that blessing is perfect for a daughter who’s marrying far away."
Ryan Lu scratched his head. "The way you put it actually makes sense now."
Lucia glanced at Sean Shaw and smiled, lips pressed together.
No wonder he’s so well-read in strategy—he always makes everything sound so clear and reasonable.
Sean noticed her smiling at him and the corners of his mouth lifted too.
A faint blush crept onto his face.

Later, the Guardian Drake Lord really did spend the day telling them stories about true war strategies from the human world. Before they knew it, the whole day had passed.
By evening, a Divine Attendant came to report: Ezra Cloud and Skye were fighting.
Lucia and the others rushed over and found Ezra Cloud in a fury—hair messy, clothes streaked with dust, chasing after Skye and trying hard to hit him.
Skye was obviously holding back, only dodging without fighting back. His movements were so graceful, it made Ezra Cloud’s clumsy rage stand out even more.
"Ezra Cloud! What are you doing?" Lucia called out.
Ezra Cloud saw her, bit his lip, looking aggrieved, but said nothing.
"Say something! Why are you chasing Skye?" Lucia pressed.
Ezra Cloud opened his mouth, glanced at Skye, looking torn, then bolted away.
Lucia: "......"
Skye floated down, smiling, and held out two objects.
They were exactly the two magical artifacts Lucia had just given him.
"He insisted on gambling with me, lost, and then tried to cheat and take them back," Skye explained. "This Goldenreed kid really needs to learn some manners—and a sense of shame."
Lucia: "...Gambling?"
"Exactly!" the other little immortals from the Guardian Drake Lord’s Manor chimed in. "We were playing, and he got interested and insisted on joining. When he lost and didn’t have any spirit stones to pay, he had to put up those two artifacts instead."
Lucia: "This kid..."
He probably got tricked by them.
He’s just transformed—how would he know anything? How could he win against the others?
"Forget it, I’ll go check on him." Lucia started to leave.
"Saint Maiden!" Skye called out to stop her.
"Hm? What is it?" Lucia asked.
Skye said, "Under the Drake Abyss King Tree lives a Goldenreed High Immortal. Since you can’t keep Ezra Cloud by your side anyway, why not send him there to become a disciple and learn the rules properly?"
