Shannon felt the pressure on her body suddenly ease.
She turned and saw Grace's bright, smiling face.
Jun Lionhead smiled, "Miss Shannon said she wanted to help you, but couldn't find the kitchen. I was just about to take her there."
"No need to help! Everything's already in the pot stewing!" Grace said, her eyes sparkling. "Tonight, we're having stewed rabbit! It smells amazing!"
"Your cooking is always delicious, no doubt about it," Jun Lionhead said.
"Um... Grace, I'll go to the restroom first," Shannon said, feeling like she was suffocating.
"Go ahead, it's right over there! In the little white house," Grace said, pointing toward the outhouse.
Shannon nodded and walked over.
"Master, Master! What do you think of her? Isn't she beautiful?" Grace immediately leaned in to ask.
"Yes," Jun Lionhead smiled. "But she probably won't want to come again."

Shannon looked at him and said nothing.
"Come on! Don't let Grace get suspicious," Jun Lionhead said.
"Divine Lord!" Shannon called out to him.
"Is there something else?"
"What is your purpose in getting close to Grace?" Shannon asked.
"You seem like a smart girl," Jun Lionhead said. "Remember, don't say what shouldn't be said, don't ask what shouldn't be asked."
With that, Jun Lionhead turned and walked away.
Shannon looked at his back, swallowed, and lowered her head to follow.
That night, Grace ate happily.
Shannon, however, ate very little and, unlike her usual outgoing self, seemed quite reserved.
Reserved is right.
When a girl meets a boy she likes, she's usually reserved.
On the carriage ride back, Grace asked, "Shannon, what do you think of my master?"
Shannon dodged the question. "How did he accept you as a disciple?"
"He said he'd predicted a disciple would come to seek him, so he accepted me," Grace replied.
