Using the Timewheel Bracelet Again

1/19/2026

To truly kill this guy, Evan Chu knew he could only unleash Star-Cleave. He was absolutely certain of this in his heart. But the conditions for using Star-Cleave were far too harsh. Right now, though, he couldn't afford to worry about the consequences after casting it.

The white light on Evan Chu’s wrist was the glow produced when he activated the Timewheel Bracelet. Only by using the Timewheel Bracelet to rewind himself to the state before casting Heaven-Cleave—when his Chaos Dragon Force was fully saturated—could he unleash Star-Cleave.

He hadn’t fully rehearsed this move in his mind; using it now was extremely forced. But the arrow was already nocked—there was no turning back. He couldn’t hesitate. If he didn’t use this technique, he’d be slaughtered by the Red-Robe Youth. The opponent’s strength had reached unimaginable heights.

Evan Chu couldn’t be sure this attack would kill his foe, but he had to grit his teeth and go for it. The method for Star-Cleave flashed through his mind as he prepared to deliver a thunderous blow.

Seeing the white light on Evan Chu’s wrist, the Red-Robe Youth’s heart lurched. He suddenly remembered something, and his face tightened with visible tension.

That white radiance was all too familiar to him. Back in the Divine Battlefield, when that light flashed, Lord Frostbane seemed to transform into a different person, his power surging back to its peak. It was then, together with Nether Monarch Ming, that he’d been gravely wounded by Frostbane.

This was the phenomenon that occurred when the Timewheel Bracelet was activated. Immediately, Evan Chu’s Stellar Power erupted, while blood-red energy flooded the void. The Red-Robe Youth knew the next attack would be earth-shattering.

The Bloodfiend Sword in his hand unleashed a terrifying crimson sword-light. The Red-Robe Youth threw everything into his strongest attack, knowing the true outcome would be decided by this clash.

He vaguely sensed that Evan Chu’s strike was the terrifying Star-Cleave. At his current level, he couldn’t withstand such a blow. The power of Lord Frostbane’s Star-Cleave was something he’d experienced firsthand; back then, it struck fear into the hearts of the strongest in the Azure Tide Ruins.

At this moment, Evan Chu’s Chaos Dragon Force had returned to its peak. He knew his time was short—he had to finish the enemy quickly, or the aftereffects of using the Timewheel Bracelet would be truly terrifying.

The Frostbane Sword in Evan Chu’s grip began to hum and tremble violently. This slash was unlike any other move—it required releasing the Frostbane Sword from his palm, sending it flying like a remote Heart-Sword to grievously wound the enemy.

But Star-Cleave was worlds apart from the Heart-Sword technique—there was simply no comparison. As Evan Chu’s Frostbane Sword shone with sword-light over three meters long, he willed the unfamiliar Star-Cleave into action.

The Frostbane Sword instantly left Evan Chu’s palm, and in that moment, countless sword shadows filled the void. The surrounding space was shredded to pieces, and the spatial black hole was on the verge of collapse.

That wasn’t even the most terrifying part—the endless sword shadows radiated a suffocating, awe-inspiring pressure. Soon, the sword phantoms began to merge, forming a colossal illusory greatsword.

This sword was at least ten meters long, with sword-light stretching nearly twenty meters. Evan Chu had never imagined such a phenomenon could occur.

A giant sword of this size, with such sword-light, could truly obliterate everything within dozens of miles. The Red-Robe Youth’s face was now etched with utter tension—he couldn’t understand how Lord Frostbane’s Star-Cleave had grown even more terrifying than before.

Before, when he cast Star-Cleave, the Frostbane Sword would only grow several times larger, maybe five meters at most. But now it had reached ten meters—such horror was beyond belief.

What frustrated him most was that Frostbane was only at Ninth-Layer Divine Martial Realm—how could he unleash such a terrifying attack? But there was no time to think; the Bloodfiend Sword in his hand swept out, unleashing a storm of sword shadows.

Countless blood-red sword qi danced in the void, instantly colliding with Evan Chu’s massive sword-light and being wiped away without a trace. Meanwhile, the gigantic sword-light surged toward the Red-Robe Youth.

Of course, plenty of blood-red sword-light swept toward Evan Chu as well. He could only watch helplessly as sword qi struck him—his Chaos Dragon Force was completely spent, leaving him unable to defend at all.

Boom! For the fourth time, a deafening explosion rocked the void. The spatial black hole was shattered by the overwhelming force of their clash, sending both combatants hurtling into the sky above Frostbane Sect.

Evan Chu’s Star-Cleave landed squarely on the Red-Robe Youth, instantly pulverizing his body. But a mass of blood mist erupted from the remains.

"Lord Frostbane, you’ve destroyed my body once again! Just wait—this hatred runs deep, and I’ll make you pay double!" came the Red-Robe Youth’s voice from within the blood mist.

Then, with a flash, he vanished into the void. Evan Chu was left covered in wounds—his entire body riddled with gashes down to the bone, pale-gold blood soaking his clothes.

A bitter smile appeared on Evan Chu’s face. "It’s over. Finally over! By the time you recover your strength, I’ll have broken through to the Saint Martial Realm!"

His face was ghostly pale, drained of all color. Evan Chu could no longer control his battered body and fell from the sky…

Meanwhile, the great battle at Frostbane Sect was nearing its end. The few hundred brought by the Red-Robe Youth were no match for Frostbane Sect’s thousands. And that wasn’t all—reinforcements had arrived.

Heaven Ape had rushed back and notified the Western Beast King Hall and Northern Beast King Hall, telling them Evan Chu was in trouble and needed help. The Western Beast King Hall sent hundreds of powerful demon beasts, and the Northern Beast King Hall dispatched hundreds more, with Violet Thunder Fox Macy Mei (Alex Xiao) among them.

By now, Violet Thunder Fox Macy Mei had reached the bottleneck. After months of secluded training in the Northern Beast King Hall, she’d mastered all the fox clan’s martial arts. With the Fox King constantly finding rare spirit medicines for her, Macy Mei had grown a seventh tail.

Her speed was unheard of—even more so after she broke into the Saint Martial Realm. When the Fox King gave Macy Mei the last Netherghost Violet Orchid, she had no idea it was the very thing Evan Chu had been desperately seeking. Otherwise, she’d have saved it for him.

Now, Violet Thunder Fox Macy Mei had reached third-layer Saint Martial Realm, making her one of the strongest among the monster-beast race. Jumping from third–fourth layer Divine Martial straight to third-layer Saint Martial in half a year—this was a legend, even in the Azure Tide Ruins.

Such rapid progress was all because her heart was set on Evan Chu. She had to reach nine tails and become truly human—only then could she stand at Evan Chu’s side. This obsession drove her relentless cultivation, and with the Fox King’s help, she achieved what she had today…
