The Deal Between John Chou and Quentin Henderson Part 2

12/15/2025

John Chou, I advise you to be cautious. We may act alongside you, but should the others harbor hostility toward you, or even seek to eliminate you, we will not interfere. After all, these are consequences of your own making.

Jerry Li rubbed his wine glass, staring coldly at John Chou. Allen Zhang smiled leisurely, reclining by the flower stand with a glass of wine, occasionally inhaling the floral scent.

I understand. I'll leave the other enemies to you two. What exactly is Soren Black doing here?

"What else could he be doing? It's always the same thing—for the sake of reviving his little lover from a past life. Ha!"

I looked at Allen Zhang in confusion, but soon my mind pieced it together.

"Mason Yu, right?"

Allen Zhang nodded, bursting into loud laughter as he spoke.

That guy doesn't love women, clearly prefers men—what a peculiar preference.

Mind your words, Allen. If you continue speaking carelessly, you and Soren Black may end up in conflict. He is gentle by nature, but if you speak of him in this manner, he will be deeply displeased.

Allen Zhang stood up and came over to sit down.

Ultimately, we parted ways—and it was all because of you, John Chou. Back then, you left without a word, even though you were the King of the Hall of Bloodbane. It was precisely at the critical moment when we were poised to seize the world, and you vanished without a trace.

John Chou raised his wine glass, and two other glasses clinked against his.

"Can you tell me now? About the situation outside the Underworld Court—after all, you've been there for a long time, Jerry Li."

I thought of the forces outside the Underworld Court that arose during the transition between the old and new hells—the Eight Provinces of Hell.

"How should I put it? There are a lot of Blue Wraiths over there—calling them an army wouldn't be an exaggeration. Some of them are quite strong. If things keep going this way, their only option will be to attack the Underworld Court. I don't know where they get the nerve to go after the territory of the Infernal Judge."

I looked at Jerry Li in surprise, but then it hit me—the three rulers of the Shadow Realm: Emperor God, Xiaoyan, and Illusion, the daughters of the Ghost Ancestor and managers of the old hell.

A storm is coming. In all my years in Jialan City, I noticed quite a few Blue Wraiths from the wildlands operating covertly. So you want to gather the hundred ghosts, John Chou? Tell me, what are you truly thinking? With the chaos now, none of the other Ghost Sovereigns possess the power to restore order. The world is about to descend into utter turmoil.

As soon as Allen Zhang finished, John Chou smiled and shook his head, his expression tinged with bitterness.

"There's nothing I can do. When this is all over, you two are coming with me."

Jerry Li looked at John Chou in confusion.

"Where to?"

"Of course, to the Underworld Court to negotiate with those old guys. In Yuna Ji's territory, things aren't the same as before. If we want to clean up the mess we've made, we'll have to negotiate with the people from the Underworld Court."

In an instant, the two drinking companions' eyes lit up with excitement, their wine glasses trembling slightly in their hands.

"I'll go with you too, John Chou. But here..."

John Chou replied with a grunt.

"I'll ask Soren Black to move in. He's not the strongest, but anyone trying to break through him will pay a heavy price."

At this, John Chou glanced around the room.

"These Forsaken might make decent fighters. When the time comes, it's up to you, Earthly Soul."

I grunted in response.

"You don't need to remind me, I know, John Chou. What about Ethan Zhang? Without him, finding your hundred ghosts won't be easy, will it?"

John Chou nodded.

"Of course. So, get ready. Worst case, we'll just have to wait for Ethan Zhang to come back, but the timing is uncertain. I've already told Yvonne May to try and fix their schedule."

At this, Jerry Li stood up, looking around in confusion.

"Interesting. They're already spying on us. Should we deal with the rats outside?"

I looked at Jerry Li in surprise—his senses were faster than mine. Now I could feel it too: a large number of people had gathered in a one-kilometer radius around our courtyard.

"No need. Don't stir up trouble early. Let's wait for tomorrow—there should be an outcome then."

At this, Ma Yongjie stared at John Chou with a grave expression.

"So you're not dealing with the Immortality Society anymore?"

John Chou nodded.

"I've handed that over to Lord Shenyan and Redmond. After all, their sides have the most people right now."
