No Entry for Sophie Sun and Dogs
Mr. Giles was a shrewd businessman and instantly understood what Sophie Sun meant. He chuckled and said to Grace and Bianca, "Sorry, ladies!"
"Are you bullying your customers just because your restaurant is popular?" Grace asked.
"No, no, not at all! It's just that President Sun is a very important guest of ours. Sorry, truly sorry! We have way too many customers tonight." Mr. Giles bowed repeatedly, looking very apologetic.
Grace was about to say something, but Bianca pulled her back. "Let it go! Let's just find another place to eat. It's Lantern Festival, no need to waste our time on trashy people. After dinner, we're watching the fireworks!"
To Grace, Bianca was already her best friend.
She really valued Bianca's opinion.
Besides, since the owner didn't want them eating here, Grace wasn't about to cause a scene or smash up his restaurant.
She wasn't that kind of person, right?
Feeling annoyed, Grace shot Mr. Giles a glare, then grabbed Bianca and left.
"Grace Lawrence!" Sophie Sun called out triumphantly.
Grace turned to look at her.
"Remember, wherever I am, you better keep your distance! Otherwise, you're just asking to embarrass yourself!" Sophie Sun said with a double meaning.
That 'wherever she is' included the Spirit Alliance.
Grace paused for a moment, then strode right toward Sophie Sun.
Damn it!
Sophie Sun's family background wasn't as good as hers, her cultivation wasn't as high, and she wasn't as pretty either—so where did she get the nerve to act so smug?
If she didn't beat Sophie Sun to a pulp today, she wouldn't leave!
But just as Grace took a few steps, Mr. Giles' expression suddenly changed. He hurried over and asked, "Did President Sun just call you 'Grace Lawrence'? Are you the eldest Miss Lawrence from the Prime Minister's Residence?"
"Yeah, so what?" Grace snapped.
"It's you! Why didn't you say so earlier!" Mr. Giles exclaimed, clearly excited.
"What if I did say so earlier?"
"You really are important and forgetful!" Mr. Giles chuckled.
"What do you mean?" Grace was totally confused.
"Did you forget? This restaurant actually belongs to you! You're the real boss here!"
"Huh? Are you serious?"
"It was Old Wang—Mo Jue’s dad! He must've told you, right? My name’s Jia Bing. I ran into some trouble a while back, and he used money from your shop to help me out. I couldn't pay him back for now, so I transferred sixty percent of this restaurant’s shares to you! So, you’re our big boss!" Mr. Giles explained.
When Grace heard the name Jia Bing, she vaguely remembered Old Wang had given her some documents to sign, something about a restaurant.
So this was the place... What a coincidence!
Grace laughed, "I didn't pay attention at the time. Can't believe I ended up at my own restaurant!"
"Oh, wow! This is like the Dragon King’s temple flooding—you don't even recognize your own family!" Mr. Giles burst out laughing.
"So... about the private room..." Grace glanced at Sophie Sun, who was still frozen in shock.
Now she didn't even feel like fighting her anymore...
Mr. Giles raised his eyebrows and said, "President Sun just said the owner can give the private room to whoever they want! Miss Lawrence, it's up to you!"
Grace burst out laughing and called, "Mr. Giles!"
"Yes?" Mr. Giles replied.
"From now on, hang a sign out front that says: 'No Entry for Sophie Sun and Dogs.'" Grace said with a mischievous grin.
Mr. Giles gave Sophie Sun an awkward smile and said, "You're the boss, whatever you say goes!"
