Sherry Yuan's Heist

"Cassie, as long as I have breath in me, I won't allow anyone to hurt you." Howard's words sounded like both a vow and the voice of his heart.

He was willing to do all of this, wholeheartedly.

As long as Cassie was happy, he would endure any grievance and consider it sweet.

Even if he had to help Cassie pursue another man, he wouldn't complain.

Cassie heard Howard's words and broke into a radiant smile, saying, "I knew it, you're always the best to me."

Howard smiled.

Just hearing those words was enough for him.

2:30 a.m.

It was the quietest moment in the city.

Aside from night-shift workers, most people were already asleep.

This is the time when people are most relaxed and least guarded.

A slender figure silently appeared on the rooftop of the Champs Hotel guest rooms.

Without pausing, the figure left a faint shadow with her toes on the rooftop and suddenly leapt down toward the lower floors.

She stopped abruptly at the seventeenth floor, sticking to the outer wall like Spider-Man.

The smooth glass surface reflected Sherry Yuan's slightly indifferent face, giving her a somewhat ghostly appearance in the midnight hour.

Just on the other side of the wall, Cassie was sound asleep.

Sherry Yuan pulled out a bag from behind her, quickly assembled a device, stuck it to the glass, and gently traced a circle about a foot and a half in diameter.

She pressed her hand lightly.

The glass was perfectly cut.

Sherry Yuan took the cut glass, placed it in her backpack, and with a light push off the outer wall, swung herself through the glass opening, curling her body to slip inside.
