Leaving Divine Dragon Valley

"Father, Celine was only released after all the dragons agreed, and as for Evan, he's no ordinary dragon anymore. He's the pride of our clan—the strongest existence in Dragon Clan history. And you were rescued by him too," said the Golden Dragon Shrine Master.

Harold Tang glanced at Evan Chu and said, "You have half human and half dragon blood—yet you can transform into a Golden Dragon? I was rescued by you, but what is your true strength?"

Evan Chu hadn't expected his grandfather to be so stubborn, but for his mother's sake, he held back—he'd be leaving soon anyway. So he replied, "Right now, I should be able to slay Ninth‑Layer Venerable Martial experts. That Black Dragon was killed by me. As for my Golden Dragon form, it's better not to show it—might scare you."

Evan Chu's tone was a bit indifferent, making Harold Tang slightly unhappy. After all, he was a seven‑clawed Golden Dragon—the highest status in the clan, revered by all dragons. Yet this kid clearly didn't care about his authority. So Harold snapped at Celine, "Celine, is this the good son you had with a human? Just because he killed the Black Dragon, just because he broke that dark barrier? You think saying all this means I'll let him stay in the Dragon Clan? Dream on!"

Everyone's face showed a trace of astonishment. Celine Tang spoke up, "Father, he's your grandson and the pride of our clan. The Black Dragon was slain by him, and you were rescued by him. More importantly, he's the only dragon in tens of thousands of years to awaken the Primordial Dragon Bloodline. Now, he's already a nine‑clawed Golden Dragon."

Harold Tang was stunned, staring at Celine Tang in disbelief. "What did you say? He awakened the Primordial Dragon Bloodline? That's impossible—impossible! That he could be a nine‑clawed Golden Dragon? I don't believe it, I don't!"

"Evan, show your Golden Dragon form to your grandfather so he can see for himself. Let all the dragons know that my son is the one‑in‑ten‑thousand nine‑clawed Golden Dragon," Celine Tang said immediately.

Evan Chu gave a helpless smile and said to Harold Tang, "Just don't get too scared!" Then, with a flash, he let out a dragon roar, and a nine‑clawed Golden Dragon appeared in the sky—its golden body and nine claws shining with radiant light.

At that moment, the Seven‑Star Convergence phenomenon in the sky vanished. Seeing Evan Chu's Golden Dragon form, Harold Tang's face showed excitement, tension, and joy—then he dropped straight to his knees. "Greetings, Lord Primordial Dragon!"

When Harold Tang knelt, everyone else had no choice but to follow suit, echoing his words. Evan Chu quickly reverted to human form, stepped forward, and said, "You can all stand up. I'm still a junior—even if my bloodline is a bit higher, I really can't accept this kind of worship."

Harold Tang and the others stood up. Looking at Evan Chu, Harold burst out laughing, "I never imagined such a terrifying genius would appear in the Golden Dragon Clan. Celine, you deserve all the credit!"

"Grandfather, you won't keep calling me a half-human half-dragon now, right? And you won't lock my mother up again, will you?" Evan Chu asked directly—he didn't care if the words offended him.

"No, no! Now that you're a nine‑clawed Golden Dragon, your status is the highest in the clan—who would dare disrespect you? Right now, you're the supreme ruler of Divine Dragon Valley. Everyone must follow your arrangements, myself included," Harold Tang replied.

Evan Chu smiled faintly. "In that case, let's return to the grand hall. Grandfather's safe escape from Dragon's Abyss is a cause for celebration—we should make it a proper event."

Back in the Dragon Shrine, Harold Tang tried to seat Evan Chu at the very top, but Evan declined—he had no interest in the throne. He said, "I've nearly finished my tasks in Divine Dragon Valley. Tomorrow, I'm planning to leave for the Azure Tide Ruins with my mother. With only a month left before ascension, there are still many things to handle. But there's one thing I need Grandfather's help with."

Harold Tang looked at Evan Chu and asked, "Whatever you need, just say the word. If I can do it, I will." Now, Harold no longer called himself 'this king' in front of Evan, showing how much he respected Evan's current status.

Evan Chu took out a fiery red longsword from his storage ring and said, "Does anyone recognize this sword? I believe someone here should know it."

Seeing the longsword in Evan Chu's hand, Harold Tang was shocked. "Isn't that the Flame Dragon Sword of the Fire Dragon King? How did it end up with you—what happened?"

"That's right, this is the Flame Dragon Sword. The Fire Dragon King now resides within it, but he's only a soul now. I hope you can help restore his body—I know the Dragon Clan has secret techniques for this. So I'm counting on you, Grandfather," Evan Chu said.

"Excellent, excellent! The Fire Dragon King went to the Godfall Battleground years ago and never returned, but his soul tablet never shattered, which always puzzled me. Now I understand—he ended up like this. I'll do my best to help, don't worry!" Harold Tang replied.

After Evan Chu handed the Flame Dragon Sword to Harold Tang, the voice of the Fire Dragon King sounded in his mind: "Thank you, Lord Frostbane. You truly are a peerless genius—the Fire Dragon King is endlessly grateful."

"Don't think about anything else—just focus on restoring your body. The Dragon Clan still needs you," Evan Chu replied calmly.

At this, the Golden Dragon Shrine Master said, "Too much has happened today, and it's already late. Why don't we all get some rest? If Evan really leaves with Celine tomorrow, we should see them off properly."

"Thank you, Uncle! I have one last thing—back in the Azure Tide Ruins, I have a little brother, a two‑clawed Savage Earth Dragon. After I ascend, I hope you can bring him into the clan. He's helped me a lot, so please take good care of him," Evan Chu said.

"Don't worry about that. Even though the Savage Earth Dragon bloodline is the lowest among dragons, he's still one of us—we'll take good care of him," said the Golden Dragon Shrine Master.

Then everyone left the grand hall. Evan Chu escorted Celine Tang back to her room before leaving on his own.

Early the next morning, Evan Chu arrived at the grand hall and found that all the important figures of the Dragon Clan were already there. Everyone knew that today Evan would be leaving with Celine Tang, so they came early to see them off. With the status of Lord Primordial Dragon, Evan was already regarded as a god in their hearts.
