Chapter 750: Precognition

A surging underground river flowed endlessly into the unknown, surrounded by smooth, massive rocks, each bearing the marks left by years of rushing water.

Silent. Desolate. Not a trace of life—only the relentless roar of the river echoing endlessly through this cavernous space.

Following the path forward, the space gradually widened, as if they were stepping into an entirely subterranean world...

Suddenly, Leon's eyes flickered. Without warning, he cast an Explosion spell behind a nearby boulder...

A blue fireball, trailing a long tail, smashed into the space behind the boulder. Two booming explosions erupted, flames bursting forth. Everyone saw a Dark Elf leap from behind the stone, darting toward another rock for cover.

As the Dark Elf ducked behind the rock, the flames swept across...

In an instant, everyone assumed combat stances. Anderson unleashed the Wheel of Arcana, hurling dozens of fire spells in a flash—each one roaring like a dragon, pounding the Dark Elf with relentless force.

But as Anderson attacked, the Dark Elf had already cast an Acceleration spell, dodging to the side in a blur. When the flames landed, he was shielded by the rocks, evading every spell—none struck him.

Leon frowned slightly. The Alchemical Golem joined in, launching a barrage of spells—but it was as if the Dark Elf could foresee every impact point. His movements weren’t exceptionally fast, yet he managed to dodge every instant-cast spell from the golem with uncanny precision.

It was as if every spell was targeting the exact path he was about to move along...

He was only level thirty-five, yet he was unexpectedly troublesome. Compared to the Unicorn Six-Tailed Fox we encountered before, his speed was worlds apart—he was probably even slower than Leon—but somehow, he managed to dodge every single spell...

Leon raised the Doombringer Staff, giving it a gentle swing. Dozens of Wind Blades shot out, as if a storm of razors had turned into a meat grinder, shredding everything within a dozen meters!

The Dark Elf began to evade the instant Leon attacked, but at his speed, there was no way he could escape the range of those dozens of Wind Blades in a mere blink of an eye.

And then, something even more astonishing happened...

The Dark Elf didn't seem all that panicked; instead, he twisted and contorted in place, almost frantically, but every Wind Blade brushed past his body, not even cutting a single strand of hair!

At this point, everyone else joined in, realizing that this seemingly low-level Dark Elf was anything but simple. Hundreds of spells rained down every second, yet not one managed to hit him!

The only other time we’d seen something like this was with the Unicorn Six-Tailed Fox. But that was different—the fox’s speed was so fast it was beyond human perception, and it could blink endlessly, making it impossible for anyone to keep up. Spells simply couldn’t touch it.

But this Dark Elf wasn’t especially fast, yet he could somehow dodge every spell—something was definitely off. And these weren’t just a handful of spells; every second, hundreds of spells were flooding his way!

For three straight minutes, his counterattacks were negligible, but his evasive skills left everyone staring in disbelief.
