Walked right past?
"Hm?"
The smile on Gavin Yu's face froze slightly.
He brushed past Queenie Tong and Yvette Locke, who were at his side.
Queenie Tong didn't even slow her steps.
She didn't even have time to exchange pleasantries or shake hands with Gavin Yu.
Gavin Yu's hand hung awkwardly in midair, unsure whether to pull it back or keep it out.
It was a bit embarrassing.
"What's going on?" Lily Tan's smile vanished, replaced by confusion.
"Did she just—just ignore Director Gavin Yu?" Kevin Zhou hesitated, finding it all a bit unbelievable.
That's Director Gavin Yu!
His identity and status are right there for everyone to see.
How many people have fought tooth and nail just to get a little attention from Director Gavin Yu?
But Queenie Tong, right in front of us, did the opposite.
She actually ignored Gavin Yu's outstretched hand.
She actually... just walked right around him?
It felt so perfunctory.
Lily Tan and Kevin Zhou were totally stunned.
"What does this mean?" Yara Song asked quietly.
Even Victor Wu beside her looked just as confused.
"I don't know either."
Victor Wu thought for a moment. "Maybe she's here for you?"
"Lately, there have been a lot of rumors saying you're planning to grab Serena's spot while she's on hiatus."
"So, is her agent here to strike first?"
Victor Wu looked extra wary.
"It's possible."
Yara Song nodded. Her smile quickly returned, radiant as ever.
She stepped forward, mentally preparing herself to face things head-on.
"Hello, Queenie."
Yara Song took the lead, reaching out her hand. "I'm Yara Song."
"I've always heard Serena has a sister who's just as beautiful as she is..."
Yara Song was still thinking about how to start, carefully weighing her words.
"Mm-hmm, you're good, I'm good, everyone's good."
Queenie nodded repeatedly, clearly not planning to shake her hand.
It was so perfunctory—so blatantly dismissive—that Yara Song was left frozen in place.
In the eyes of everyone present...
Queenie Tong and Yvette Locke brushed past yet another person.
Both of them, faces full of delight, took another step forward and slapped Master Lin from Seacrest hard on the shoulder.
"Ah! Were you waiting anxiously?"
Queenie saw Master Lin from Seacrest standing there and quickly spoke up: "We could've gotten here earlier, but our flight was delayed."
"Then we landed in Hong Kong, and our car got stuck in traffic."
"I was seriously panicking, afraid you'd vanish again before we got here."
Queenie chattered nonstop.
Her words fired out like a machine gun.
She spoke quickly, looking genuinely anxious.
Not only that, Queenie's enthusiasm toward Master Lin from Seacrest was a stark contrast to her coldness toward Gavin Yu and Yara Song earlier.
"Looks like you've gotten more handsome."
Yvette Locke, still munching on ice cream, glanced at Master Lin from Seacrest, looked him up and down, then nodded solemnly and said it with a straight face.
"By the way, did anyone give you trouble when you came in?"
Queenie remembered: "I called the hotel right after we landed, but they said you hadn't arrived yet."
"I was worried someone might stop you."
"Security here seems pretty strict."
When Queenie talked with Master Lin from Seacrest, she didn't pay the slightest attention to anyone else's expressions or moods.
"No one could've stopped me anyway."
Master Lin from Seacrest shook his head.
"That's true."
Queenie grinned, clearly approving of Master Lin from Seacrest's answer.
Another round of small talk followed.
Queenie seemed to have endless things to say to Master Lin from Seacrest.
But soon, after all that talking, Queenie finally paused for breath and noticed the atmosphere around her had changed.
She looked around.
Yara Song stood there, her beautiful face frozen with a stiff expression.
Victor Wu's face went pale, then flushed. Ever since Queenie had gone straight up to Master Lin from Seacrest, he'd felt a bad premonition.
Looking at the scene, it seemed this young man was very familiar with Serena's agent!
That level of familiarity went way beyond just ordinary friends!
Kevin Zhou, seeing Queenie and Master Lin from Seacrest getting along so well, was filled with anger and resentment.
Lily Tan stared wide-eyed, still unable to process what she was seeing.
It was truly unbelievable.
Utterly incomprehensible!
With Lily Tan's status, she had to work hard to build a good relationship with Serena's agent, hoping for a chance to collaborate with Serena in the future and boost Kevin Zhou's prospects.
But she never had the chance.
And now, how come that kid gets to be so familiar with Queenie Tong?
"Are these all your friends?"
Queenie glanced around, then looked at Master Lin from Seacrest, asking curiously.
She had no idea when Master Lin from Seacrest had gotten to know so many people in the entertainment industry.
"No."
Master Lin from Seacrest shook his head, denying it outright.
That blunt denial left Yara Song and the others in an awkward silence.
But they're celebrities!
"These two, though, you should get to know."
Master Lin from Seacrest continued, looking at Yuan Liang and Miao Yu.
As soon as he said that, Queenie immediately turned to look at the two of them.
"Ah, hello, hello, I'm Yuan Liang."
Yuan Liang hadn't been thinking about anything else—he certainly wasn't trying to use Master Lin from Seacrest to meet Queenie Tong.
He and Miao Yu were both stunned.
They'd thought they were just meeting a martial arts master.
But it turned out this martial arts master had an impressive background.
He actually knew Queenie Tong!
Could it be...
He really knows Serena too?
"I've heard of you, and I've seen your movies."
Queenie smiled and shook hands with Yuan Liang.
She was poised and gracious.
Thanks to Master Lin from Seacrest's words, Queenie naturally wouldn't neglect the two in front of her.
As for the others...
Since Master Lin from Seacrest said they weren't friends, Queenie had no intention of saying much more to them.
"I'm Queenie Tong, and my sister is Serena Tong."
Queenie introduced herself again.
"I'm Yvette Locke!"
Yvette Locke, standing nearby, quickly spoke up, eager to introduce herself.
