Stubbornness of Mr. and Mrs. Yun

1/4/2026

"I don't know what led to this misunderstanding, but I'm truly not your daughter," Cecilia Gu said awkwardly.

Mr. Yun and Mrs. Yun were already crying so hard they could barely catch their breath.

At that moment, the rest of the Yun Family crowded around, all equally excited, grabbing Cecilia Gu's hands and chattering nonstop about her finally coming home after two years away.

Cecilia Gu forced a bitter smile.

When they'd finally tired themselves out, Cecilia Gu gently spoke, "I'm really sorry, but I'm not Nora Yun. My name is Cecilia Gu."

But no one in the Yun Family believed a word she said!

This was clearly Nora Yun!

Why wouldn't she admit who she really was?

"My daughter must have lost her memory! Otherwise, how could she forget who she is?" Mrs. Yun hugged Cecilia Gu tightly, sobbing, "This is my daughter, my Nora. You're finally home."

Cecilia Gu looked utterly helpless.

Just then, Max Mo walked over from a distance, and Cecilia Gu's eyes lit up instantly.

"Max Mo!" Cecilia Gu called out loudly.

Her shout startled not only Max Mo, but everyone else around too!

Cecilia Gu couldn't care less about the commotion—she just wanted Max Mo to help explain what was really going on.

Being mistaken for a long-lost relative by a crowd was seriously overwhelming.

Max Mo saw how flustered Cecilia Gu was and immediately broke into a warm smile.

That smile left a lot of the women watching completely stunned.

In Eastshire Province, Max Mo was truly number one.

Very few people could make Mr. Mo smile like that!

In the past, only the eldest Miss of the Yun Family, Nora Yun, had that privilege. But now, it seemed there was someone else.

Max Mo strode over quickly.

Before Max Mo could say anything, Mr. Yun grabbed Cecilia Gu's hand and pressed it into Max Mo's palm, exclaiming, "Max, my daughter is back! Now you two can finally have your wedding!"

Cecilia was stunned.

Max Mo was also stunned.

They’d shaken hands politely before, but those were just brief, formal gestures.

Now, Mr. Yun pressed down on Cecilia’s hand, refusing to let her pull away.

Max Mo was now holding Cecilia’s fingers with no distance between them, and that unique softness of hers made his heart flutter.

Max had wanted to explain things for Cecilia, but in this moment, he suddenly didn’t want to say a word—he just wanted to keep holding her hand.

Cecilia sighed helplessly. Seeing Max still in a daze, she deliberately pinched his broad palm with her fingers.

Cecilia thought she’d used a lot of force, but to Max, her little pinch just felt like flirting.

Max looked into Cecilia’s eyes, and they grew even deeper and more intense.

But Max knew he couldn’t let himself get lost in the moment. He cleared his throat and said, "Mr. and Mrs. Yun, please allow me to formally introduce her... She’s not Nora, she’s Cecilia Gu from N City, wife of Charles Yin, CEO of Yin Enterprises."

Mr. Yun froze, looking utterly incredulous. "How is that possible? Nora? How did you end up marrying Charles Yin? You’re supposed to be Max’s fiancée! How could you marry someone else? No, I don’t approve of this marriage!"

Cecilia couldn’t help but laugh and cry at the same time!

This Mr. Yun is honestly kind of adorable!

He’s just a little unreasonable about recognizing his daughter!

Charles Yin saw the whole scene unfold before his eyes.

The moment Charles saw Cecilia’s hand placed in Max’s palm, the temperature around him seemed to drop several degrees!

"Ouch, that hurts!" Sylvia Ran suddenly cried out softly. "Charles, let go! You’re hurting me!"

Sylvia followed Charles’s gaze and saw Cecilia and Max holding hands, too.
