Touch My Woman and We Settle It on the Life-and-Death Platform

Ryan Ouyang's attack missed completely. His face twisted in shock as he stared at Gus Bullard, who had been snatched away by a stranger.

"Kid, who are you? If you dare to show off in front of me, the consequences will be serious!" he said, voice brimming with rage.

Only after speaking did he get a good look at the newcomer—a blood-soaked figure, as if he'd just crawled out of a pit of corpses, reeking of blood from head to toe.

But this kid looked kind of familiar. "Are you Evan Chu?"

He did remember Ordinary Class One had a boy who dared walk out of Lucy Lu's class right in front of everyone.

"That's right, it's your grandpa. What, scared now?" Evan Chu had already let go of Gus Bullard and checked his injuries—fortunately, nothing serious.

"Evan, you finally came out. That guy's really tough—I couldn't beat him!" Gus Bullard said to Evan Chu, still shaken.

Ryan Ouyang burst out laughing when he heard Evan's words: "Did you just crawl out of a pile of corpses or something? With that pathetic look, you think you're worthy to fight me? No one in the ordinary classes has ever made me, Ryan Ouyang, afraid. You think you can?"

Evan Chu just smiled and didn't respond. Instead, he walked gently up to Roxanne Lin, speaking softly: "Ruoxi, I'm sorry. I failed to protect you and let you suffer. But don't worry—I'll get justice for you soon. Anyone who dares provoke my woman is courting death!"

"Evan, I'm fine! It's just... your whole body..." Roxanne Lin looked at Evan Chu, worried about his condition.

Many people stared at Evan Chu and Roxanne Lin, amazed that the Fire Spirit Fairy could be so gentle toward this blood-stained youth—her attitude was just like a wife doting on her husband.

"What's their relationship? Could this kid really be her chosen one?" one student whispered.

"Looks like it to me. Just look at the way she gazes at him—filled with endless affection! Who would've thought Ryan Ouyang would try to steal love from the Fire Spirit Fairy? This is going to be good!"

"So that's Evan Chu? I heard he could've joined the Elite Class but chose to stay in the Ordinary Class instead—maybe it's all because of the Fire Spirit Fairy?"

For a while, all sorts of rumors buzzed through the crowd. To Ryan Ouyang, these words felt like knives carving his flesh—he was thoroughly disgruntled.

Evan Chu ignored the stares, pulling Roxanne Lin into his arms. Then the two of them strode up to Ryan Ouyang and said:

"Ruoxi is my woman. You actually dared provoke her, and even hurt my brother Gus Bullard. So, how do you want to die? The Sparring Platform or the Life-and-Death Platform?"

Evan did his best to suppress his rage. For someone like Ryan Ouyang, he had to deliver a harsh lesson—and if necessary, he might just kill him.

Ryan Ouyang felt his face burning—this was the first time anyone had ever talked to him like this. "So you could've joined the Elite Class but chose the Ordinary Class instead. Guess you must be pretty strong, huh? Wherever you want to fight, I'll be there!"

"Then let's go to the Life-and-Death Platform. Someone like you is just wasting food by living—I might as well do everyone a favor and wipe you out!" Evan's face was utterly calm, his words delivered as if chatting with a friend, yet not a trace of killing intent leaked out.

"The Life-and-Death Platform? You really want to go to the Life-and-Death Platform?" Ryan Ouyang couldn't believe Evan Chu actually dared to challenge him there; he thought Evan was joking.

Roxanne Lin, caught in Evan Chu's embrace, wore a mix of excitement and shyness on her face. "Evan, let me go! Everyone's watching—it's so embarrassing!"

She broke free from Evan Chu's arms. "Ryan Ouyang's strength is no joke. Don't act on impulse, or you might suffer for it!"

Although Evan Chu was strong—he'd even beaten a City Lord’s Mansion Earth Martial third-level expert before—that was only because the opponent was caught completely off guard.

Ryan Ouyang was also an Earth Martial third-level cultivator, so his strength was obvious. If Evan Chu really fought him, the outcome was uncertain—Roxanne Lin couldn't help but worry.

"Ruoxi, I know. Don't worry! Dealing with him will be easy for me." Evan Chu gave Roxanne Lin a confident smile.

"You pick the time. If you think now is best, I don't mind. But I'd suggest waiting a day or two—then you can enjoy a couple more sunrises. Once you step onto the Life-and-Death Platform, there won't be any more chances." Evan still sounded completely calm.

Enough was enough—Evan Chu clearly didn't take the number one of the Ordinary Class seriously at all. Ryan Ouyang's wild red hair seemed to ignite, standing on end as his face flushed with rage.

At that moment, one of Ryan's classmates quietly said, "Boss, if Evan Chu dares talk like this, he must have the strength to back it up. Don't let him provoke you into acting rashly. Let's wait a few days and tell the big boss, so he can help check out Evan's real power."

"No need to bother the big boss with something this minor. I can handle it myself. We'll fight in a couple of days, but we need to make a proper wager."

Ryan Ouyang was actually quite wary of Evan Chu—after all, Evan had just snatched Gus Bullard away right in front of him, at a speed Ryan couldn't match.

Since it was a life-and-death duel, the wager had to be the heaviest. Once he'd figured that out, Ryan Ouyang said:

"Evan Chu, since you want to die, I'll be happy to grant your wish. Two days from now, we'll meet on the Life-and-Death Platform. But we need a proper wager—what do you say?"

Evan Chu already knew this guy wouldn't just agree to his terms. He'd probably try to test Evan's strength first. With that in mind, Evan had already formed a plan.

"Name your wager—whatever it is, I'll accept. Consider it a little mercy before you die!" Evan replied with a grin.

A flash of killing intent flickered in Ryan Ouyang's eyes. If only he knew Evan's true strength, he'd have killed him on the spot—after all, anyone qualified to join the Elite Class couldn't be a weakling.

"Let's bet your woman. If I win, she becomes mine. If I lose, she stays yours. What do you think?" Ryan Ouyang said shamelessly—the wager cost him nothing at all.

"Deal, I accept! But you seem to have forgotten something—if I win, your life is forfeit. Too bad you don't have anything worth my time, so I guess I'm getting the short end of the stick. Got anything that might tempt me?" Evan Chu laughed.

Then Evan whispered in Roxanne Lin's ear: "Ruoxi, you won't blame me for this, will you? I know it's a bit much to make you the wager, but don't worry. You're my woman, and you'll always be my woman—no one can take you from me."

"I trust you, Evan. You're the only man I'll ever love. In life, I'm yours; in death, I'm still yours," Roxanne Lin said, her eyes glistening with emotion.

Just then, Gus Bullard walked over and said, "Evan Chu, are you really going to face that guy on the Life-and-Death Platform? He's an Earth Martial third-level, you know!" His tone was full of concern.

Evan Chu patted Gus Bullard on the shoulder. "Old Bull, you're a true friend—willing to risk your life for your buddies even when I'm not around. But don't worry, I've got this guy handled!"

"Old Bull? You call me Old Bull! Evan Chu, you really are something with the nicknames—but I like it!" Gus Bullard laughed heartily.

Evan nodded to Gus, then turned to Ryan Ouyang. "Enjoy your last two days. Anyone who bullies my woman gets only one result—death!"

He glared at the crowd, warning any lovesick fools to think twice before making a stupid move.

"Ruoxi, let's go!" Evan Chu said, then strode away with Roxanne Lin, hand in hand, in front of everyone.
