After Emperor Ye, Joe Di, and Nick Ning decided on their next move, their spirits soared. In anything, the greatest fear is having no goal. Previously, their cultivation had always been driven by a goal—to become stronger, to gain control over their own destinies.
But after learning the origin of the Saint Position, the truth of the cosmic tribulation, and the secrets of the Rivergate Universe, they had essentially lost their sense of purpose. Any effort, in the eyes of others, seemed laughable—at least under the shadow of Rivergate's universe.
Though the domain beneath their feet did not belong to Rivergate's universe, it offered them no further advancement. Not only were there no cosmic laws here—no way to cultivate at all—but even if there were, by the time they reached a power comparable to Chi Yao, it would be far too late.
So with a clear goal in mind, the first thing Joe Di and his companions wanted was to find a quiet place and construct an entirely new cosmic world, evolving a brand-new, vast chaos.
Half a month later, the three stopped. Nick Ning said, "This place should be good enough. Chi Yao is too busy to bother with us for now, so we just need to see who can get ahead..."
He didn't finish his sentence, frowning instead. "Now I feel like this place isn't right, though I can't say exactly why..."
Nick Ning didn't elaborate, but he glanced around. In this realm, aside from that golden plaza they'd seen before, everything looked the same—dim, gray space and a ground of sand and gravel.
Emperor Ye nodded. "You're right, this place won't work. In fact, I fear this entire domain is unsuitable."
"Agreed," Joe Di said without hesitation. "I cultivate the Dao of Laws. Here, though there are no cosmic laws, no energy, not even sound or life, there is color—there is light."
The gray, misty space itself was color, and the fact that they could see meant there was light.
Emperor Ye and Nick Ning were delighted, both turning to Joe Di. His mastery of Arraycraft was unmatched, thanks to his cultivation of the Path of Laws. Just as no one could rival Emperor Ye's control over life, nor Nick Ning's understanding of divine abilities.
Joe Di extended his hand, pulling out two items and tossing them onto the ground.
"Are those the Gate of Chaos and the Dao Inquiry Platform?" Emperor Ye and Nick Ning were no strangers to treasures; as soon as Joe Di produced the two items, they recognized them.
Joe Di nodded. "That's right. These are indeed the Gate of Chaos and the Dao Inquiry Platform, both treasures of the Creation Realm."
"You want to use the Explosive Array, combined with the self-destruction of Creation treasures, to blast open this domain?" Emperor Ye and Nick Ning immediately understood Joe Di's plan.
Joe Di said, "Yes. Once I detonate the Explosive Array, a weak point will appear here. If the three of us strike with all our strength, we should be able to tear open this place. It's a pity we only have two Creation treasures—if we had two more, it would be foolproof."
He had already returned the Creation Jade Disc to Zixiao. If only there were three Creation treasures to detonate at once. Creation treasures are valuable, but if fate is manipulated, what use are they?
Emperor Ye laughed heartily and casually pulled out a large cauldron. "I have a Creation treasure here too. Let's blow it up together."
"The Cosmos Cauldron?" Joe Di looked at the large cauldron in surprise. He had heard of it—the greatest treasure of the Creation Cosmos. He hadn't expected it to end up in Emperor Ye's hands.
Before Emperor Ye could reply, Nick Ning also produced a majestic disk. Without waiting for questions, he explained, "This is the Yaofang Disk, supposedly the top Creation treasure of the Yaohai Cosmos. I managed to obtain it, so now we have four."
The three exchanged glances, then burst into hearty laughter together.
If anyone knew they were using four Creation treasures to set up an Explosive Array, and detonating all four to blast open a domain, they'd probably think they were insane.
Each Creation treasure was the condensed essence of countless years of cosmic energy, unrelated to any Saint. Creation treasures are so rare because they're nearly impossible to form. Anyone who obtained even a fragment could stand at the peak of a universe, yet now they were about to self-destruct four of them.
"Now I have more than ninety percent certainty. If the three of us set up the Explosive Array together—I'll handle the inner array, Nick Ning the middle, and Emperor Ye the outer." As Joe Di spoke, he was already pulling out array flags.
Here, using law-based array flags to construct a grand array was far less effective than using those he refined himself. Every flag he crafted surpassed even the finest artifacts, and with his imprint plus the self-destruction of Creation treasures, the resulting power would be unimaginable.
Not only Joe Di, but Emperor Ye and Nick Ning also knew time was precious. The three placed the four Creation treasures at four positions, then scattered array flags one after another.
Even though all three worked together and only set up an Explosive Array, it still took them a whole year.
Joe Di set the final detonation flag, then breathed a sigh of relief. "Let's recover our energy first. When I throw down the detonation flag, remember to strike at the same time. My strongest move is the Second Song of Time—three long arrows."
"I'll use Blade Pattern, and it's best if I strike second," Emperor Ye said without hesitation.
Nick Ning drew his spear. "I'll use the Law-breaking Spear; I'll strike first."
Joe Di let out a long howl and had already activated the detonation array flag.
Boom! Space shook violently. Then, an overwhelming, boundless explosive energy erupted from the center of the Explosive Array, as if the entire space was being twisted, stacked, stretched, and stacked again. Even Joe Di and the others standing on the edge of the array felt waves of inexplicable emptiness and dread.
At that moment, it seemed as if everything was trembling.
Boom boom boom boom! The mighty, vast explosions were not just a single blast, but four in succession. The void was nearly overturned, and a tiny crack appeared in the gray domain space. As the explosive force spread and swept out, the crack began to widen.
Nick Ning also let out a long howl, and his Creation Divine Spear struck the tiny crack!
Emperor Ye's Zixiao transformed into a twisted purple light, as if it would tear the domain apart, unleashing billions of violent energies as it slashed down.
Almost simultaneously, Joe Di's Second Song of Time unleashed three long arrows. The timing between the arrows was extremely short, perfectly coordinating with the earlier spear and blade strikes.
The fierce intent of the arrows tore through all obstacles—this was truly a moment where time shattered the heavens!
