Jiro Hirayama was such a proud man!
Now that someone’s come along to challenge his intelligence, he’d have to be crazy to refuse!
So Jiro Hirayama plopped himself down and started studying the Go puzzle.
You have to know, Go is seriously deep and complex!
The knowledge packed into it is just overwhelming!
Every move tests a person’s knowledge, logical thinking, battle experience, strategic planning, and ability to read minds.
If you don’t have real skills, no one would dare claim to be a Go master.
Jiro Hirayama really was smart, but most of his brains went into biology and biochemical research.
He could play Go, but that didn’t mean he knew how to read people.
No matter how Jiro Hirayama set up his board, Cici Grant could wipe him out with a single move.
Jiro Hirayama was totally unconvinced. If one game didn’t work out, he’d play another!
Charles Yin understood what Cecilia Gu meant and quietly gave his wife a thumbs-up.
He really was thrown off because he cared too much.
Cici Grant deliberately rubbed her forehead. “So tired... No way, I can’t take too many shots in one day. I need to sleep for a bit. As for when I’ll wake up... hehehe…”
So, everyone outside just quietly sipped their tea.
Inside the room, the battle over the board was absolutely intense.
“Impossible! How could I lose?” Sweat broke out on Jiro Hirayama’s nose, but he didn’t even bother to wipe it away. He blinked and said seriously, “Let’s play again!”
Jiro Hirayama raised his panda-eyed face, holding up a vial. His voice was hoarse as he said, “This is her medicine for today. I’ve come up with over a hundred new ways to crack those puzzles.”
Jiro Hirayama:
Jiro Hirayama looked at the newly set-up board. He’d already thought of ten different countermeasures—damn it!
How could they just stop like that?
He already had a battlefield mapped out in his mind—damn it!
How could they not give him a chance to show off his talent?
Turns out, the secret to taming this madman was the Yun Family’s legendary Go puzzle.
Jiro Hirayama got anxious right away!
“How about I give you another shot?” Jiro Hirayama couldn’t help but offer to give Cecilia Gu an injection!
The crowd outside could barely hold back their laughter!
“Still, thank you.” Cici Grant smiled. “Japan is busy with disaster relief right now, so it’s not convenient for us to stay. The sooner we resolve things, the sooner we can go home.”
Cici Grant turned to Charles Yin and said, “I’m fine now, so let’s keep things simple. Even if you don’t care about the Asian market, Japan is a developed country and Osaka is an important economic hub. This time, teaching the Inagawa-kai a lesson is enough—always leave room for future encounters. As for how to handle Clarence, I won’t interfere. I know you’ve got your own plans. But if you can trade Clarence for enough benefits, that’s better than just taking her life.”
Without shedding a drop of blood, Jiro Hirayama, the troublemaker, was forced to back down!
You have to know, even in the Yamaguchi-gumi, Jiro Hirayama was a real headache!
Why? Because his dad was a big shot in the Yamaguchi-gumi!
Who’d dare mess with the Hirayama Family’s second son?
Cecilia Gu deliberately rubbed her forehead. “So tired... No way, I can’t take too many shots in one day. I need to sleep for a bit. As for when I’ll wake up... hehehe…”
Truth be told, Cici Grant’s Go skills were pretty average, but she had all of Nora Yun’s knowledge and memories in her head!
What the—?! Stop it!
Watching Cecilia Gu sleep and not wake up—this kind of torture was just too much!
“Wait for me! Don’t sleep, whatever you do, don’t sleep! I’ll go get the medicine!” Jiro Hirayama jumped up like a cat with its paws burned, flung open the door, and dashed out without glancing at anyone.
Charles Yin held back his laughter as he walked in, sat down, and looked at the unfinished game on the table. He said to Cecilia Gu, “You really know how to handle things!”
Cecilia Gu smiled and shook her head. “Actually, people like him are pretty simple. He still deals with the world like a naive child.”
Hmm, that actually made sense.
Just then, Earl Field came back in from outside. The moment he walked in, he saw Charles Yin and Cecilia Gu holding hands and gazing lovingly at each other.
No matter how he looked at it, he just couldn’t stand it.
“How are you feeling?” Earl Field couldn’t help but interrupt their sweet moment and tried to show off: “I’ve already contacted Mr. Henry Hirayama. He said he’ll go home and teach his son a lesson, and make him terminate the contract…”
“No need for all that trouble. He’s already gone to get the medicine.” Cecilia Gu smiled at Earl Field. “I’m sure after today, I’ll be completely fine!”
Earl Field stared speechlessly at Cecilia Gu.
He’d been running around for ages, and now—he was a step too late?
“Still, thank you.” Cecilia Gu smiled. “Japan is busy with disaster relief right now, so it’s not convenient for us to stay. The sooner we resolve things, the sooner we can go home.”
Cecilia Gu turned to Charles Yin and said, “I’m fine now, so let’s keep things simple.
Hearing how Cecilia Gu was always thinking of him, Charles Yin’s heart felt as warm as a spring day. He wished all these annoying people would just leave so he could love this adorable little mole in peace.
Earl Field’s red eyes dimmed a little. Why did he feel so sour inside?
He was actually a bit jealous of Charles Yin.
Cecilia Gu pulled Charles Yin aside to give him a few more instructions, and sure enough, Jiro Hirayama came rushing back in.
He ran in, shouting, “I just thought of more than twenty ways to crack the puzzle! This time, I’m definitely going to solve the Legendary Go Puzzle!”
But Cecilia Gu said to Jiro Hirayama, “You can’t take all the medicine at once, your body won’t be able to handle it. I’ve got hundreds of puzzles here that no one’s ever solved. If the medicine knocks me out and I never wake up, you’ll never crack them all!”
Nani?! Yamete!
For the first time in his life, Jiro Hirayama was completely stunned!
Why could he toy with everyone else, but this woman lying in bed was totally out of his league?
If she refused to play, all he could do was stare helplessly!
Charles Yin chimed in on purpose, “Yeah, you’ve been awake way too long today. You must be exhausted—go ahead and get some sleep.”

Cecilia Gu stopped talking and simply lay down to sleep.
Charles Yin immediately told the people outside, “Send Jiro Hirayama home.”
Jiro Hirayama:
She’s already lying down, she’s already asleep!
Why are you still here?!
Just go!
Earl Field blinked, as if he couldn’t quite figure out what Cecilia Gu really meant.
Still, he was smart enough not to spoil things for others.
If it were before, he would’ve loved to stir things up.
But now, he didn’t want to ruin things for Cecilia Gu.
Jiro Hirayama was promptly ushered out the door.
Cecilia Gu honestly wasn’t tired, but she figured she should rest as much as possible—she’d need all her strength for the battles ahead!
So, after eating, Cecilia Gu rested a bit and soon fell peacefully asleep again.
She slept well all night.
In the morning, someone went out to take the trash and saw a person squatting at the door. They almost pulled out a gun on reflex.
When they saw who it was, they screamed, “Young Master Hirayama, what are you doing out here?”
Jiro Hirayama raised his panda-eyed face, holding up a vial. His voice was hoarse as he said, “This is her medicine for today. I’ve thought of over a hundred new ways to crack those puzzles.”
Inside, Charles Yin and Earl Field nearly burst out laughing.
Jiro Hirayama hadn’t left all night—he’d squatted at the door until morning. Of course they knew.
They were pretending not to know on purpose! Just to mess with him!
Who would’ve thought Jiro Hirayama was so naïve, actually waiting outside all night!
He really couldn’t wait to play Go with Cecilia Gu!
Turns out, the secret to taming this madman was the Grant Family’s legendary Go puzzle.
Cecilia Gu eventually woke up. After freshening up, she saw Jiro Hirayama standing pitifully nearby, holding up the vial and staring at her hopefully.
Cecilia Gu wasn’t about to neglect her health. She rolled up her sleeve and let Jiro Hirayama give her the injection.
Jiro Hirayama quickly injected the medicine into Cecilia Gu, then looked at her eagerly.
Cecilia Gu nodded to the others, and the Go board was set up again—just as it had been left yesterday.
Jiro Hirayama made his move, full of confidence. But before he could enjoy it, Cecilia Gu dropped a stone and instantly forced him into a dead end.
“How is that possible?” Jiro Hirayama yelled. “I spent all night working out this solution!”
“One more time.” Cecilia Gu took back her stone, letting Jiro Hirayama try again.
Jiro Hirayama made another move elsewhere, but Cecilia Gu again placed a stone and forced him into a dead end.
Sweat instantly broke out on Jiro Hirayama’s forehead.
At first, everyone was just watching for fun, but soon they got interested too. A whole crowd gathered to watch the two play Go.
Truth be told, Cecilia Gu’s Go skills were pretty average, but she had all of Nora Yun’s knowledge and memories in her head!
It was like suddenly seeing oracle bone script and somehow being able to read it out loud.
Now, not only was Jiro Hirayama unconvinced, but Charles Yin and Earl Field got interested too. The three of them kept trying to work out a solution.
But no matter what they tried, every path led to a dead end.
Cecilia Gu always had one move that completely shattered all their efforts.
Another day passed. When Cecilia Gu excused herself to rest again, Jiro Hirayama’s eyes burned with admiration!
So that night, Jiro Hirayama set up a bed outside the door and used his computer to keep calculating solutions.
Inside, Charles Yin and Earl Field couldn’t help their curiosity and kept asking about possible solutions.
Cecilia Gu smiled and shook her head. “The reason this Legendary Go Puzzle is unsolvable is because no one wants to sacrifice their foundation for victory. Cracking it is actually easy—it’s like Xie Xun’s Seven Injury Fist: to defeat your enemy, you hurt yourself almost as much, and sometimes the winner ends up worse off than the loser.”
After saying this, Cecilia Gu placed another stone on the board.
With that move, everything changed.
The battlefield was littered with casualties, corpses everywhere.
It didn’t matter which side you were on—everyone suffered heavy losses.
Sure enough, to defeat a thousand enemies, you sacrifice eight hundred of your own. Both sides were left with just a few stones—the rest were all wiped out!
