Tofu and Braised Pork
Sean already inspected his room, and found nothing wrong.
Lucia Lu prescribed him some calming medicine, and he gradually got better.
Clearly, the demonic qi left him with psychological trauma.
...
Sean promised to tutor Mia Quinn, so he visited Lucia Lu’s place every night for one-on-one lessons.
Mia, though still a teenager, was extremely proper. She insisted it was inappropriate for a man and woman to be alone together, so she dragged Lucia to join every session, even moving lessons to Lucia’s room.
Lucia doted on her and let her do as she pleased.
Lucia took the opportunity to ask Sean, “Fifth Highness, I have a question for you.”
Sean sat there, the coldness gone from him, a faint smile on his lips, exuding a strangely gentle and peaceful air.
He looked up at her. “What’s your question?”
"If a girl likes you, what can she do to make you like her back?" Lucia Lu asked.
"Pfft!" Mia Quinn nearly spat out her drink, giving Lucia a big thumbs-up. "Lucia, you're so bold! So straightforward! I love it!"
Lucia swatted her hand away and looked at Sean.
Sean replied, "No matter what, I wouldn't like her. So, if such a person really exists, you can just tell her to give up and find someone else."
Lucia facepalmed. "No, I wasn't really talking about you! It's just... you know, the person I mentioned to you before! So, what should she do?"
"Who is this 'someone'?" Mia protested. "You two are keeping secrets from me! I'm mad now!"
Lucia said, "Kids should hush and read their books."
"No way!" Mia stood up and grabbed Sean's arm. "If you don't tell me, I'll take him away! Let's see who you ask then!"
"Mia Quinn!"
"Tell me, tell me!" Mia hugged Lucia, acting cute. "Who likes who? Maybe I can help you come up with an idea!"
Lucia really regretted not using a voice transmission with Sean just now.
"It's Luna Lian and Adrian Drake," Sean said.
"Oh?" Mia's eyes lit up in sudden understanding. "Everyone says Luna likes Young Lord Adrian. So it's true!"
Lucia sighed and pinched Mia's cheek. "Mia Quinn, if you dare to say even half a word about this, I won't talk to you anymore!"
"No way, never! Absolutely not!" Mia made a solemn face and raised her hand in a dramatic oath. "I swear! If I tell anyone, everyone should ignore me! And let Jenna Summers bully me every day!"
"Alright!" Lucia motioned for her to sit down. "I'll be honest with you guys. I didn't want to join the Divine Army Barracks at first—it was Luna who wanted to come, so I followed. But after all this time, nothing's happened between her and Adrian. Help me think, what should we do to help her?"
Sean struck a thoughtful pose.
But his eyes were clearly blank.
Mia, ever the clever one, immediately piped up, "Adrian Drake, from what I've seen, only likes hanging out with pretty girls. Not just pretty—they have to be super feminine, just like Jenna Summers!"
Both Lucia and Sean looked at her in surprise.
Lucia even gave her a big thumbs-up. "Impressive! He really did like Jenna!"
"Right?" Mia said proudly. "Luna is the most serene and gentle person—never competitive, never fighting for attention. She's just not his type at all!
Let me put it this way: Adrian likes 'braised pork,' but Luna is a plate of 'plain tofu!' He wouldn't even reach for the tofu!"
